We are trying desperately to find a place to rent for a year for around 60,000 rupees per month in the North but am facing refusal from many owners because we have a small dog. Can anyone advice or have any recommendations/suggestions? Many thanks.

Try posting an advert in the Housing in Mauritius section, specifying that you have a dog, you might get some views and offers.
Also, you may get in touch with professionals recommended in the Real estate in Mauritius section of the business directory.
