The Israeli government, and anyone regardless of nationality or anything else who supports them, are very clearly utterly nasty.Yes, of course the extremism Hamas displays is bad news, but that's no excuse for the Israeli GOVERNMENT and IDF to do what the Nazis did. - @Fred

We can agree on this.

It's finally pushed a group of countries to condemn the Israeli government. But they won't intervene because of Trump and his mad  land grab plan. What could they do about it anyway?

US disposed of USAID and has now put some DOGE person aged 28 in charge of aid distribution. It's an insanity. They will have no credibility from either side. It needs the UN in there to take charge.

Netanyahu and his cronies will be arrested and taken to the Hague if they step out of Israel. That's one upside. Maybe he'll be deposed and jailed anyway there on corruption charges. A new Israeli government might cooperate with the ICC.

I can only speak for myself.

It is a spiritual thing to feed your baby, nothing sexual about it at all.

It bonds you forever to your child in ways I doubt bottle feeding moms would understand. Gods ways are not our ways. he knows what he is doing.

I bottle feed my 3 younger siblings and between the burping, pooping and whining, not much else can go on.

I think NHS dentistry is probably now myth.  Like Bigfoot or the Yeti.  Or may be just extinct. People talk about it but no-one has ever seen it or seen it alive for decades.

As a kid I had NHS dentistry.  If I could sue the dentist for what he did - unnecessary fillings -  I would take him for all he was worth.   Unfortunately unlike Trump, the criminal b***ard is long dead.  I cannot even go and take a whizz on his grave as I don't know where they put the bloke. Maybe he went straight to hell.

Whilst you comments are, in my opinion, true, as are mine.

Apart from  a maternal  bond I believe feeding a  baby that way creates,  breast feeding supports the baby's immune system,  thus protecting them  from disease.

As a chap who is but one step above a caveman - men who claim not to be are liars - there is an obvious sexual elecment to  breasts. They are part of the female  shape that attracts us to you.

As for men sucking  on them, I  have  found women rather enjoy it.  So far, every woman I've been near has in a very big way.

I see nothing wrong with a little fun  as long as  both (or more) are enjoying the  experience.

As for Fluffy's  comment about the impossibility of looking after two ladies, he should  get out more. I  learnt that trick with two nurses from somewhere in Africa when I was 18. Visiting Rotherham hospital's Loxly Court nurses'  accommodation was rather fun.

Sadly, new generations  won't be able  to  create happy memories there as the NHS is closing the place down

I can only speak as an observer and I feel it's the same as you say, it's just about feeding and bonding.  I am not sure bonding is limited to breast feeding but I do understand that idea is special.

Interestingly, there is a point where you fall in love with your child.  I can only put it like that.  It must be a very predictable thing about human beings.   I loved having my baby kids laying asleep on top  of me while I was slouching on the sofa - something I'm a professional at.  That close cuddling and involvement is what does it.  I love kids, they are great.

All that bonding still goes on even when your kids are older - minus of course the burping/wind, back end production and whingeing and complaining.   Most of those disappear but even the older one's whingeing and complaining has to be seen in context.   Tables get turned as one gets older. I now ask my kids for advice.   Sometimes I get the right answer but I put up with them complaining just to get engagement.  Kids still remain selfish until they get much older Like > 21 when maybe they start appreciating their parents (hopefully).

But babies are usually hilarious when that miserable wind leads to all sorts of discomfort, then suddenly a large burp solves everything and a half toothy smile shows relief and success!  Some adults need that too.  Ahhhhh....good memories of babies.

Fred

I should  add, I'm old, fat, deprepit and, worst of all, a boring old fart now, so old memories of wild nights are unlikely to be joined by new ones in my hippocampus.

Ho hum, I had a fair run, but it's heading to zimmer frame and pushing up daisys time now.

My husband sadly has to wear dentures these days. All started when he was about 9 and his school in Budapest took the class to the dentist.

The crazy guy did about 9 fillings on my husband all in one sitting!

An adult can not take that much trauma all at once let alone a little boy.

After that as a young man if a tooth hurt at all, he waited until evening when the emergency dental clinic only pulled teeth.

He was 26 when we met and had at least 3 teeth missing on one side. I admit it gave him a sort of cool I do not care aura but years later I was always on him to see the dentist.

Life long fear of drilling.

I remember when I was 4 the dentist filled 4 teeth, my father was always bringing me home candy every night.Tootsie Rolls.

I was too young for that many fillings and must of got bored and by accident I move my tongue and he sliced it with the drill. Not terribly but enough so that mom got my a huge ice cream afterwards as an reward for being brave.

Sort of counter productive but it was fine with me.

My days are getting out more are gone.  These days I can hardly get out of bed.  It takes a good 20 minutes to get the joints working.  Older age is overrated.

Technically I'd like to know the mechanics of the procedure.   Only the technical aspects.

I mean, two boobs, one mouth I can get but how does it work with one mouth and four boobs?

What? You too?

I like to think of myself as a young 64 but there's no denying it, I'm certainly no spring chicken.  I'm probably better than some people younger than myself.  I don't do crosswords or puzzles for brain exercise.  I just read a lot on all sorts of subjects.

My main complaint is memory and stamina issues - I temporarily forget people's names or previous routine events.  I certainly do not have the ability to walk many miles.  And recently I have to stop for 5 minutes if I'm on a 1h dog walk, usually because of my current hip issue.  I sometimes can beat my own records on some routes - I have a tracking watch which measures performance.  But going faster has not happened for a while.

I should start a regime involving my mountain bike.  Be less stress on my hip.   Never will I go jogging.  And to think I could run about with a heavy pack, ammunition and a rifle.

I think I bonded with my son the moment I saw his little red face and bright red hair.

At first it flashed across my mind that something was wrong with him, red hair???

Then the 3 local Hawaiian nurses started laughing at him; Really got me angry.

One said, it is a boy but he has red hair, he looks so foonie, funny.

Then one of them said the local babies are more cuter and Howlie babies looks funny.

WTH?, Insulted at birth! I wanted to get up and slap them all.

I never expected a red haired child but it was so different and so cute. His hair was sticking straight up in the air, looked so helpless.

I shared a nice ward with 5 Hawaiian moms, they are had other children, I was the only one to have my first there;

They all could not stop talking about that baby with red hair, sort of drove me crazy.

That's what happened to me.  Dentist was paid on fillings done so tortured me with 13 fillings.  Something like that.  Absolute scumbag. I am sure my teeth were absolutely fine.

There was a technique called trench filling.  That didn't happen to me but feels like it.  I've compared notes with others and some of them got that.

I hope that dentist is getting a taste of his own medicine down there with Satan's Dental Practice.   Yes, practice is the right word.  Kids were tortured guinea pigs.  And practice doesn't always make perfect.

Haha, red hair!  I know about that.  We have red hair in my family.

My Dad had somewhat red hair but over years it went blonde.  Maybe it was our long lost Irish connection.  And my nephew was red headed.  But he's going bald now.   I guess if he had kids, they would be red haired - at least at the beginning.  I had some red hair which Mrs F found.  A few bits here are there before I went grey.  Kind of funny to find those reminders there.

I was surprised to see many red haired people in the Middle East.  Apparently there's a group of red headed people there - centuries old community that came from Russia or Turkey - who are mainly employed as government workers.  Usually border, customs and police workers as far as I remember.  I found it really interesting.  They were a kind of insular group and limited their relations with other groups.  Probably isolation kept the red hair genes alive.

That movie I posted about - Sea Fever - the actors were either Irish or pretending to be Irish crew on a fishing trawler.   They were all complaining about the "scientist" who joined them on their trip had red hair and it would be unlucky for a red haired person to be on their boat.   Total superstition.

I had a GF once with red hair. I really liked her but she had other ideas.  Fish, plenty and sea come to mind.

Marilyn Tassy

My grandmother was a red head, one armed red headed lady, almost like being a red headed step child.

My MIL and BIL are red heads, husband used to have a red beard although he gets sea sick.

Have cousins that are red headed men but their mom was Irish.

My sister and I have a bit of copper in our hair, or rather had it.

Both my parents had jet black straight hair.

My deceased brother had what I call, native hair, stick straight, thick and very dark brown, sort of black.

He always wore his hair to his collar because when it was short it stuck up. He always wore a mustash too. It suited him.

My son is sort of different, red hair, rather tall with O neg; blood, not very average, green eyes too.

He is out of his mind at times, always brags that his carpet matches his drapes! IDK, he cracks me up at times other times he just drives me nuts.

I can imagine your grandma being cast in a movie as a red haired volatile Ma Barker.  A one armed bandit.   That's a joke of course.  I have no idea if Ma Barker was volatile or had one arm or not or even red haired. But I do know she was a bank robber.   Having one arm and red hair would just add to the mystique.

My Dad was a bit sensitive to the sun and having in lived in Australia and travelled all over there, he had a touch of skin cancer.  It was just removed.  But I am sure his previous, then blonde hair,  said much about his skin sensitivity.  I did learn that one should always wear a hat out in the tropics, preferably long sleeves and to use plenty of sun protection.   One can loosen up as the tan comes in but still critical to try and avoid those rays long term.

Kids always drive people nuts - small kids small problems, big kids big problems.

BTW, soft furnishings can always be dyed to match!

I was a cosmetologist.

Legally I could do those Brazilian waxes, nails, toes, facials.

I found most of it revolting to do,mom and step dad enrolled me and pre paid so I went through with the entire course;

Did not mind doing hair on a persons head but the rest, no  not really into it.

In school a women came in to get her legs waxed;

We all had a turn at putting on the wax on her hefty legs and pulling of the strips to remove her hair.

I almost got sick, it was gross to me, I still remember the smell of the wax and hair, yuck;

I actually did not mind being a games dealer, nothing personal, I just followed orders, place your bets and that was it.

No one was allowed to touch us or we them.Fine with me!

Once some really oddball guy just sat down to my blackjack table; I already had 5 players and just one empty seat. Everyone was having a decent game till that weirdo sat down.

He did not like his cards and reached out to grab my wrist when I came along to pick up his losing bet.

He slightly pulled my arm towards him!

I yelled out so loud that everyone stopped what they were doing to look.

He was tossed out by security but I got comments from the shift boss and other dealers. They all said something to the effect of, Marilyn, we all thought you were so quiet and such a ladylike dealer. I used to F word with the idiot guy.  I said you have to watch out for the quiet ones.

That was really a one time event, thankfully.

I think people get laser hair removal now.    I am not sure who is waxing but I guess it still goes on.  Laser is supposed to be very effective.   Bit crazy what people do for fashion - burning their hair off.  I am not sure what kind of training is needed but it's definitely not as regulated (it sounds) as the USA.

I dunno about casinos.  It's always smacked of organised crime and a bit shady to me but who am I to judge. I've never liked gambling although we do sometimes chuck money away on a lottery ticket. We're in Euromillions this week.  There's always a chance I'll be writing these postings from my yacht moored soon.  Moored in Monaco of course.

I used to play cards when I was younger - we were commuting so played with other commuters on the plane.  Mainly bridge.  That was quite fun but I cannot remember the rules now.

Weekend is here.  But what to do?  If it wasn't raining I'd be on my birdbath. It needs more lime cement on it. Plus the mood lighting and actual stone resin sealant.   Always so much to do at Fluffy Towers.

I hope I have the right bank here, hate to diss the wrong one.

Something about MKB bank having 600 customers accounts drained by scammers.

My husband was talking about it last night, I was not in the mood for it though, too terrible.

They bank is not taking responsibility for their drained accounts either!

I thought banks were insured? I know in the US they are to a certain point.

Federally insured.

I hadn't heard about scammers in customer accounts.  MKB is owned by Orban's friends so who really knows what is going on there.  Wouldn't surprise me if it's all dodgy.

There's a 80K EUR (?) protection scheme per person in banks in the EU.   That's only in  case banks go bust.   It's not protection against scammers.

But if someone has willingly gone along with a scam, even in the face of evidence that it's a crazy thing,  it's a little difficult to say the banks are responsible for that. After all, the customer said they wanted to do whatever it is they wanted to do.

I don't know specifically here but in the UK, there have been scams involving the actual bank employees and those people have gone to jail for it.   All of those "in bank" fraud schemes have to involve more than one person so it's immediately a conspiracy. A tougher situation for the perp than simple embezzlement.  That's years of jail.

Mrs F has fallen to a scam as I said before.  She lost maybe 20K HUF on "free zoo tickets".  You think it'd be really difficult to be fooled but she was ripped off.  She just had no explanation for it.   The free zoo tickets was all she could think about.  She paid by card but the bank (OTP) refused to do anything.  They ripped her off from Cyprus.

I've received very plausible e-mails which look like they are legitimate bills. I've nearly paid one or two of them but I realised eventually they couldn't be real as I checked I'd already paid similar bills previously.    But what surprised me is how much they knew about me and what I'm usually doing.   Quite a lot it seems.  That's quite worrying.  Makes you wonder what they are monitoring.   Things like Alexa are constantly listening and passing info back.  All that data can be mined by bad actors if there's a security breach.  It's a serious challenge these days in managing your life.

It used to be simple - down to the ATM or bank and get some cash to buy some food etc.  These days, it's all electronic.  Perhaps one has to spend 1/2 day a month thinking about your own personal security issues around all those online services.  Just managing passwords is a nightmare.  And do I trust Google or others to keep my data secure? Nope.  Never.

I'm using WhatsApp and despite adverts saying it's all encrypted, I can see adverts popping up which are promoting things I have been discussing over WhatsApp chats.   I was discussing VW electric cars and spare parts.  What do I get?  Adverts for VW electric cars etc.  It's clear they are mining my data, never mind their supposed encryption.  Makes me sick to think they now "own" me.

Drives my husband so crazy as well;

He really get upset and loses sleep over worry.

He quit one bank and opened up an account with another but hates this bank as well; We stopped using electronic paying and pay cash.

To deposit cash at this new bank you have to travel half way across Budapest to the only branch they have that has a teller who handles cash!

Last time we waited over 90 mins to make a deposit!

Were thinking of sending over one of our SS accounts to HU but no, feel safer having them go to the US first. Have to pay fees to get our own money in hand!

I think scammers should get their eyes poked out with a hot poker or their hands cuts off.

The deal with MKB sounds like an inside job.One reason we quit our old bank, sometimes we had to contact them by phone and online and the clerk would ask all sorts of questions, even my maiden name, not their dam business since it is not my account!

Our neighbor went in person and told the same bank off and that she wanted nothing to do with their new way of banking. We should of protested as we had an account with them before they made changes and did not agree to any of them.

We have been using the same US bank for over 50 years. Every state however is a different deal;had to open a new account with the same bank when we moved to another state. That is when they toss in their secret little BS line by line small print items.

I would buy gold but it is hard to lug around with you.

Wonder how many people will be jumping out of windows when they turn everything digital and somehow mess up everyone,s accounts?

Or if they do like in Hungary in 1946, just devalue the money.

I feel for your hubby.  Banking is a very confusing and pressured environment these days.   I wouldn't want to go back to the old days. I remember trooping down to the HU bank en masse and having 1h meetings in the comfy chairs while we waited for slots to open up to get our cash for the rent and wot not.

I had cause to pay in a foreign currency cheque (US: check) into an account a few months ago.   It was just really difficult. I had to find a branch that actually had counter service.  There was no way to do it by post or online. I've asked the sender to transfer the money but they would not do it. No idea why. Corporate bean counters too lazy to consider there's another way.     It's just so old fashioned to have these paper things called cheques (checks) when everything is fully digital.  Anyway, the bank staff told me it could take 7 weeks to be credited on my account.   Well, WTF are they doing with my money in the meantime?   I got a receipt so at least I know the paperwork was accepted.   Maybe at the end of the summer, I'll get the dosh (US: money).

I wouldn't be so ultra cautious about having all your eggs in one bank basket.  Probably your money would be safe in HU as much as it's safe in the USA.  It'd be protected up to a level - per bank and per account holder.   If you've got way beyond the EU guarantee limits, just spread it around amongst other banks to reduce exposure to any single bank.  I have some moderately flush relatives and they do that.   So long as one can manage it from a distance, and keep proper records, it shouldn't be an issue.   EU rules apply.

Personally I do not want to hold any US dollars now at any bank.  Trump is a massive risk.  Obviously, I've no connection to the USA but for many things, they are priced in USD. My currency of choice would be the EUR.  After that, GBP (British Pounds Sterling).  Maybe AUD (Australian Dollar) or CAD (Canadian Dollar) at a push.   One reason to not hold USD is to avoid any payments going via the US Treasury (all USD goes via the USA and it's all slow).   And Europe has the marvellous SEPA (Single European Payments Area) system - instant payments in seconds and no delays.  Fantastic for inter-EU stuff.  Sorry, went on a bit of a bank bender there.

We've been using Revolut (it exists in the USA) to get money to the kids because it's really easy and simple to do.  But the cost of transactions is really high.  We've slackened off a bit on that.  I was shocked when I bought an air ticket and found I had to pay like $40 in exchange charges using Revolut.   It is a very convenient system but it's all phone application (apps) based.  There's no other way to use it.   I am considering using it when we travel to far away places. It'd just be convenient and a back up.

I did hear from a former colleague that one country  (forget which) didn't accept phone visual proof on having enough funds for a stay.   So that person had to resort to other means to prove they had enough funds.   I don't remember the details.   But I did say to him that he should have got an invitation letter from his contact which stated all expenses would be covered.  Even if it is a bit of a white lie.    Anyways,  looks like the best thing is physical cash, cards and apps.  And insurances up to the wazoo.

Mrs F did mention the MKB was being discussed.  She also said it was probably an inside job.  It doesn't seem to have made much of an impression in the press but I haven't been looking.

BTW, I read that we're all supposed to have 100 EUR per person in cash at home in case the banking system goes down due to some disaster.   It was in the news again. I think it was the Netherlands saying it this time.

Marilyn Tassy

Always nice to have cash in hand but that is a worry too.

When we moved from New Mexico to Vegas around 1998 I did something very dumb.

My husband sold some machinery last min before the move and had $10,000; cash in 100 bills.

He did not tell me about where it was and I decided to wash his dirty moving jeans while he was out.

Spin cycle done, opened the washer to find bills all over!

I flipped out, was so confused.

Husband came home and of course the cat was out of the bag!

He was pissed for me not checking his pockets first but we laid all the bills out in rows on the floor to dry. good as new. Thankfully they use good paper on bills.

Another time the mad Hungarian came out of my husband; Our son was IDK 11 or so.

My husband bought him a huge toy, a huge battleship that covered the entire floor on our den.

Cost a bit.

He got bored with it after a few months and can not remember exactly but we had some sort of a yard sale; Husband was not there at the time, at work or out.

Our son decided to sell the battleship to a man for a few hundred bucks. Husband found out and was so mad, he said he did not care for the things he bought him, he got ripped off etc; Husband wanted to show him it was not about money but respect for his things.

He took the bills and tore them up into tiny bits in front of our boy.

Of course I came around quietly with a broom and picked up every bit; Took them to the bank and got new bills; Husband had calmed down by then so all was good;. Sometimes to this day I hear about the battleship. I think it has more to do with my husband never having such a nice toy or the space growing up to play with it.

Oh wow, that's pretty disastrous.   Whole new meaning to money laundering.  These days, cash is more likely made out of plastic.  I don't know if it's wash proof.  At least you got it all back. They'll usually swap but the problem is if you are missing any parts.  They might allow it if all the numbers are on there.

My usual washer mistake is leaving tissues in pockets.  Those damn things fall to bits and the bits stick on everything.  Picking the bits off takes just forever.  But in my laziness, meh, who really cares.

Sounds like the battleship was some toy.  Kids have no idea. We've got many kids' toys still stored. It's a waste of time.  We have literally boxes and boxes of stuffed toy collection.  It's not possible to dispose of them, to a charity shop.  They usually won't take them because of hygiene concerns.  I really want those toys out of here. I cleared a space in the roof but I cannot get anyone to help me lift them up there.   Not doing my back in for no reason.  That's quite a problem here.  Getting the others to help.  It's always mañana.      I think I'm turning into a Hungarian - never do today what you can put off until tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a public holiday in the UK. I probably will treat it as a holiday here.  Mrs F will be at home (WFH - Work From Home),  daughter has only Uni exams now we're sliding down to the end of year one.  Only our son has to go to school.  It's not that long until the school holidays and we'll all be at home most of the time   Unless I suddenly get invited to do something by someone. Bit of a long shot but we'll see.

Yes, I taped the bills together before exchanging them at the bank.

Tissues in laundry, the worst! Done that, my husband always leaves them in his pockets.

It is memorial weekend in the US.

My eldest sister wrote me, seems our halfie, halvie, not sure how to spell that one, is still at it.

Bought herself new glasses and dishes;

It really is like she is in another world, homeless but setting up shop in someone else,s home!

What gets me is the gov at least for now is giving her 100% free medical, she is getting an MRI, more expensive to get then a CT. Going for PT and all sorts of things, uses every little ache and pain as an excuse to not look for work;

Mean time the older one, older by 19 years really needs PT but since she works and pays taxes even with her out of pocket Medicare for seniors she still needs to pay out $35. for each PT session.

Something in the US is so backwards!

I do not contact the halfie any longer, I have nothing nice to say so best to leave it alone, for now.

It seems to pay to be lazy in the US.

My deportee friend needs to get out of the mad house they call a half way house.

In some 4 floor building and the male unit has clogged up the toilets and drains on each floor,They keep flushing drugs down the toilet; The showers are not working either, people are allowed to bring in their dogs and everyone smells like weed.

The staff which is all gay women on her floor and some tranny men are screaming insults to each other in 3 different languages. They have to leave the shelter during day hours and local business owners do not want them in their shops.

I told her to see if the church she has joined has any sort of jobs or if anyone has a spare room that she can move into.

IDK, sounds horrible.

Would not be surprised if a new health outbreak starts at that shelter.

She even told me something so disgusting, a dog in the shelter is in heat; The owner has dog pads for it to use; Some women stole the dog pads for her own use! No mention if they were pre used or not!!! YUCK!!! Mad house indeed! I honestly hope she can get back to Sweden, either that or she will lose her mind soon.

Even some social workers are nuts there, one had immigration come out to see her thinking she was not a US citizen, what a waste of time ,money, resources!

I'm almost all electronic now on money.   I have a few notes but they've been in in my wallet for about 6 months.  I usually try and get rid of any substantial amounts of notes and coins in machines like they have in Tesco.  It's getting harder and harder to actually use cash.   We've got some notes which are now out of date. I think we could only exchange them at the national bank.  BTW, we heard 150 members of staff at the MNB were let go.  I wonder if this was related to the scammers.  We have relatives working at the MNB. Mrs F will phone her relative and try and get the skinny on it.

Difficult to know what to call a half-sibling.  We have a similar problem so we've started calling Mrs F's half-brother, just brother.  It's like a kind of demotion to include the half even if it's of course, true.  Even my own kids have half-siblings but we just leave it as sister and brother.  I don't want any of them to think they are less because they have one different parent from the others.   Of course, they live in different environments and were brought up differently.  I've always had a bit of guilt that the ones here in HU, always had both parents but the other ones didn't.  But I guess that's life and they didn't know any different.

I've no idea about the US medical system.  Reports I read show it as cruel and nasty and expensive.  At least here you can get some basic services for free although it looks very underfunded and disorganised.    Even in Ontario, my daughter had to use their system and being covered by the Provincial scheme, the treatment was free.   They still had to wait hours in the ER as it was an accident (fainted, fell down the stairs and ended up with a concussion) but she did get seen and she said it was all free with nothing to pay.   Much like my own experiences of the past with the UK's NHS.  Nothing to pay at the point of service.   Find it hard to swallow the thought of paying anything.

Half-way house is half-way to hell it seems! I almost vomited thinking of the blocked toilets and dog sanitary pads. Anyone who doesn't get their dog sterilised is behaving irresponsibly.   Ok, it costs money, but there will be places where it could be done for nothing.   Otherwise it's puppies.  Our cat was a complete slut.   Just had kittens and was already pregnant again in just a few weeks.  It was off to the vets and all that was stopped.  The kittens were really fun and we managed to give them all away.  But it was a bit too much to have so many baby cats roaming around.

ICE is just behaving like Nazis.  I just heard students or anyone have to carry their documents now in case they get picked up.   I was looking at flights out to the Pacific and anything that goes via US territory has to be avoided for us.  I'd like us to go to Canada but any flights we'll have to make sure they do not go or risk transit via the USA   It's not often shown in detail on some web sites that flights go the Caribbean have stops in places like Miami.   CBP are always rude as hell.  Important thing is to keep your cool, be polite, appear happy and keep a smile handy even if it's  totally cringeworthy.   There must be some kind of training course those people have which creates some kind of a**hole behaviour.    Meh, it is what it is.    Avoid!

I was going outside to do some stone work but it looks like rain.  Again!   It's becoming mad.

The weather is as mad as Trump.  This kind of thing will be a saying in the future to scare kids.   Don't do that, Donny will come.   If you aren't good, you'll find Donny under your bed.   I mention this because Trump said Putin was "Crazy".  Well Duh, Donny, you think?

Actually, no, I think Putin is not crazy, he's just evil.   Donny himself is crazy.  But that's part of dementia.  Not being able to recognise your own illness is a sign he's lost the plot completely.

I seriously wish my deportee friend to get the heck outta Dodge ASAP!

A middle aged house frau in a shelter run by Gay and Trannies who fight with each other daily with weed and plugged up toilets.

I had tons of male gay friends in my youth, my deportee was expecting fun, kind gays to help her, some big time BS is going on, they HATE straight people     and go out of their way to be nasty and rude.

So sad..

Evolution??

I call my half bro Lon my brother, he is kind sweet, open minded and thoughtful, he can also be an A Hole and wild as heck but he is real.

My half sister is embarrassing, cut her so much slack and she still is too much to deal with.

My eldest sister thinks she is being tested by God ATM.

I have told her many times that good works do not matter to toss her out. i have suggested that if need me and I am desperate, I could never live with them. Between all the cats a dog who pees everywhere and a loony who stays up to 3 am watching tv; I would do myself in before even considering such a situation.

Thank God I know I never have to do that.

I only share my frugal side with them, not my save for the future side.

No need to make them envious or ask for help.

I see the European lotto was hit the other day; Bummer.

I have been playing a local lotto which has not hit yet;

I will try one more time or until some lucky SOB hits it, hopefully it will be me!

I hit 2 out of 6, normal for me, just a tease.

I do it two ways;

I have some tiny balls with numbers on them that I spin and I also use my brain to pick numbers; So far my brain has hit more then chance has.

My sister Jane has a deal with a vet in Minn; She gets a huge discount on getting cats fixed. She finds strays and brings them to him and pays to get them fixed. Kind of her but she is not solvent enough to do that.

It was again strange weather today. Went around to collect the results of my blood work; Was cool then hot then cool again. Not normal weather for sure:

Not warm enough yet to even think of sunbathing, going to fry this summer if it ever gets sunny enough to tan.

US medical system is you had better be rich or dirt poor, those in the middle are screwed!

Better to give everything away and get welfare unless you are maga rich.Or have a insider to help you out.

The US medical system is one huge reason I am not moving back home anytime soon.

I wear my Marc Bolan t shirt when I feel like a rocker, with a leather jacket of black jean jacket of when getting a haircut.

Pro tip, remove all earrings and do not wear a top with a collar if you want to make it easy on the hairdresser, no necklaces either.

PS, and please do wash you hair even if they wash in the salon. No one wants to run their hands through a head of grease and products.

Once had some guy come in right after a day at the beach, his head was full of sand!?? More like full of rocks!

We usually do make our own beans, put them in a pressure cooker then remove, add onions and garlic then make a white or rather brown sauce with paprika. Bits of bacon too if we have any around.

I like to put them in a burrito shell and make it into a bean burrito with cheese, onions, sour cream, greens tomato, not quite Taco Bell but my version of it and healthier too.

I do not make bean very often now days, too rough on my sensitive digestion.

Used to have a cast iron tummy but no longer...

Got my blood test results back, mostly good but still my white blood count is a bit off.

Not off the charts but I will be asking my doctor what it means when I next see him.

He is odd though, acts like be glad you are still alive and never gives me a straight answer, maybe he does not know?

Going in today for my contrast dye CT scan. IDK one clinic just called me in and did the test, went there a few times for tests; Found the test can be done just down the st; from us so go there now; Nice new clinic inside a hospital.

This place however forces me to drink about a gallon of water pre test. Have an hour to get it all done; no fun at all! I feel like I am drowning and my day is shot with WC all day long.

Part of being healthy is being tortured.

I feel fine, just good to keep an eye on things.

One thing that is odd is I can not keep weight on, not all skin and bones but defo underweight for my height. They say one gains as they age, leave it up to me to do it different!

I do have osteoarthritis after what treatments I had done, 33 rounds of pelvic radiation will do anyone bones in.

Not happy about a CT test every 6 months, more rads, I should be glowing by now!

Enough about me, sounds like a narcissist. Think most of us do have a touch of that , normal but there is a limit too.

I wish the weather would make up it,s mind; The wind is not comfortable for sunbathing; We are going to be burn up this summer if we do not start getting some early sun on us.

Makes me think back about a decade ago when we were leaving Palatinus.

A young black American guy was walking with several Hungarian girls; He looked at everyone walking around and commented to himself out loud. I had a hard time not laughing as we were right behind them and I got his humor, his friends did not.

He said, They all look like roasted chickens! Guess pale white skin turning sun burnt red would make one think of a chicken on the flame.

BTW, weather will be super good next week.  Into the 30s.  That's a time to get some rays for Vitamin D.

I've never been that keen on tacos or burritos myself.  Seems a very difficult way to eat a sandwich.  If it was in pita bread, then it'd be more like a kebab and therefore edible.   Kebabs seem to be everywhere in Budapest these days.  Our village now has a kebab shop but reports are that it's not very good.   So that makes a Thai, a Chinese, Hungarian (multiple) and now Kebabs.  I like kebabs but they are too salty for me really.

And it's all go.  Our Asian cum Vietnamese supermarket Super Diszkont opens Monday.  They will open 0700 to 1900h each day with shorter hours on Sundays.   Talk about hard working people.   But they are younger people, they can do it I am absolutely sure.  We just hope they have decent stuff like noodles and sauces.

I like the idea of that look with the leather and rocker T-shirt - bit of the Suzie Quatro look about it.  I am not sure she was ever a true star in the USA.  She was very popular in the UK and Australia.

Elevated WBC (White Blood Cell Count) is a sign of inflammation or infection.  I've got a bit of that myself.  I think its my joints.  And a bit of anaemia.  How the hell am I borderline anaemic? It's not like I'm a vegetarian. Bloody aging.  It ain't good for you.  Right now, as of this moment,  rather be a bit dumber and young than wise and old (aka decrepit).

Our daughter was MIA down the town last night.   Didn't come home but sent messages all was OK.  I am always saying to her to keep in touch and let us know what is going on so we can stop thinking bad things and plan our own things.  I feel like kids - even if they are older - should check in once in a while so we don't fret.   Instant messaging is ideal.  Just a quick message takes 5s.   But she is an adult now but even so, we worry her and all of them, all of the time.   There's nothing we can do.  She'll just have to learn.   She'll leave the nest eventually.  She's already talking about leaving to go to live and study in Austria in a couple of years.   I shouldn't worry about that, it's a very safe place.   Maybe she'll want to go to Spain or Italy.  Nicer weather and the beach.

Having someone care where you are and what you are doing is a good thing.  I have a friend who has no-one except his cat.  He does send messages to me.  So I am there.  But I suspect I'm the only one communicating.

I'm considering making chicken in a tarragon white wine sauce.  I got the recipe from Nigella.

Weather could be great if not for this endless wind.

My husband has a runny nose and is not feeling great, says it was the wind.

Chemtrails, dog droppings in the air and God knows what else is blown around.

Yes, it totally is a trip getting older.

Brain is the same but not everything works on the same page at the same time!

Still feeling yucky myself from that darn contrast dye they stuck in me. Normal really to have it upset your digestion for days but I am done.

I think I do not get all the nutrition from my food because I digest it so fast.

Sick of drinking sourkraut juice so just take probiotics and greek yogurt of keifer.

Other wise I feel rather good, do not take any medications for anything.

Try to eat healthy and get my meds out of natural teas and such.

Bones hurt, have a cup of ginger tea with cinnamon and a drop of honey with a dash of black pepper.

I now have jars and jars of dried herbs everywhere, looks like a witches den more then a kitchen these days!

One basket full of teas one full of herbs and spices all over the place.

Just need some toad legs and bat wings!

We had a long chat with our son, poor hubby is resting now, his last nerve usually snaps after hours of talking BS. Same old story every time...

49 and going on 15!

IDK how my mom did it with 6 children, well halfie is not all right but the rest of us all carried on after age 18. Had our own apts, jobs and paid our own bills.

Was thinking back about my half sister having a small apt; in our town at the time our mother still had a home close by. It was something that she moved to her own place. Now I realize Mom was paying her rent for her, I am sure she would of never moved out unless mom helped her and tried to make her grown up.

Myra moved to Hollywood and got a job at the phone co. at 17, I had my own place at 18, older sister finished collage and married at 19. Lon married at 20 and moved with his wife.

IDK, Cindy is not like the other girls! Special!

I just turned 21 and had a baby a month later.

IDK, never thought we were too young to be on our own at the time.

Finally got around to cancelling our Sky TV. I've not watched it in months, so it was pretty pointless having it. The wife only watched it, and it was her suggestion. She can watch ORF online anyway.

We inherited FIL electric bike. I've taken it a couple of times, just to have a play with it. OMG, they are dangerous things. You really need to have a driving licence to operate one. The tyres are as thick as a motorbike.

Thank gawd I live in the countryside, and have plenty of trails I can use.  No way it should used in cities. I was getting up to 45km/h.

I know what you mean. I tried my bro's electric bike and it was shocking how much power it could deliver.  It was quite unnerving and I only used up the street to see what it was like.  After that,  I was then thinking of getting an electric mountain bike.  For a bit of time before that I was thinking people using them were "cheating" but they aren't really motorbikes but electrically assisting the rider.  With aging a bit I can see it'll help keep up with cycling as a hobby and fitness method.  If I didn't have electric assist, I'd probably not go riding.  So yes, quite probably I'll get one when I feel like I can splurge on one.  Pricey things though - carbon fibre and motors and batteries.   Not much heavier than my current mountain bike - which was a posh one when I got it.   It's a bit worn out now but still is a good ride.

I've got all the dishes and receivers still.  But they've been in storage for maybe 15 years.  I think they are all scrap metal now.  Everything is streaming.  People spend too much time watching TV and linear programming is dumb nowadays.   With downloading or online, you can pick and choose what and when to watch.   Some shows I'd like to watch are a bit hard to find - mainly the BBC ones.  Bit niche.

Our daughter is out with her friends.  She's got a massively busy social life.   She'll be 20 soon and getting more reasonable 80% of the time.

My sister was having her babies at that kind of age.  Seems hard to fathom babies so young.  My older kids, in their 30s, are not having kids yet but they should think about it as they aren't getting younger.  And I'm not getting any younger to be a grandparent.

I was thinking about that MRI contrast dye stuff.  I've heard bad things about it.  I was considering a private MRI for my back issues.   It's a way to skip the queues.  At least I'll have an answer about it but what to do about it afterwards?

Today is a day to enjoy the sunshine.   We've got a visitor for lunch - my BIL.  Mrs F's bro.   Looks like it's just us and him because the kids are all out doing their own thing.  One way it's sad they won't hang out with the oldies today but then again, we should be happy they are leading their own successful lives.

BTW, maybe your hubby has hay fever? It's the time of the year for it.  My hay fever arrived suddenly in my 20s.  Hay fever  tablets sort that out easily.    For me, it's ragweed.   That's an invasive plant which needs to be removed if it turns up in your garden.  I think it HAS to be removed but I am not sure anyone really complies.  What I find odd is they have loads of plane trees here.  Those blinking things are major irritant producers yet they do nothing about them - usually spraying.  Horrible things under the wrong circumstances but good as pollutant controls in towns.  Upsides and downsides.

Could be hay fever, feeling much better today since the wind has slowed down.

Grew up in Simi Valley, in the native language it means , land of the winds.

We all had hay fever, used to pass a pack of pills around the breakfast table.

They do not usually need to use a contrast dye, for bones it is not used, more to see deep tissue.

My halfie got an MRI on Monday, she told the older sister she needs neck surgery on 3 vertebre;

Anything to not look for a job; The eldest went with her to see what the doc said herself. She just needs a cortisone shot, no biggie.

Overacting and over reacting.

Does look like a very nice day, think I will let hubby rest today and tomorrow get some walk in and sunshine.

No fun to drag him around if he feels bad.

Have to be gentle with him, going on 78 and I can not take a chance on wearing him out. He is the sort who refuses to see a doctor.

I think it would be so fun to be a teenager with friends and live in Budapest.

So many things to do and see.

My husband had such fun here in his youth. Was a member of several dance clubs, knew people who worked in the spas so they just went in for free whenever they wanted to.

Had so many girlfriends I never know if I am running into one on the street or not!

He says he would never recognize  any of them. IDK but do not wish to find out!

My two living sisters never had children, Sometimes I can not relate to them at all. Like they are still children themselves. They do not understand at all ,only live a life that fits their own needs all the time.

My husband jokes that now they have their karma, stuck with each other!

Looks like a 10 minute protest 11.50h -12.00h after OV bankrupted the Budapest City government.

Karácsony relies on BKV for money.  And OV has been attacking the City for years.

This is just another nail in Fidesz's coffin as they try and stop the rise of any opposition/resistance.  Eventually the entire country will be on strike.  It's easy to see how annoyed people are - there's an economic crisis.

Maybe we'll get an early election.   Perhaps we should have that in our Christmas stockings.  Christmas?  Geddit? Ho-ho.

It seems the left wing Budapest local government did what the political left usually do.

The spent all the cash then blamed everyone but themselves. Just for good measure,it looks like contracts were given out to their mates.

As the wonderful Maggie said, "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money".

Hay fever really is a pain.   Some gave Mrs F a plant which smells nice and looks nice with big fancy flowers but jeez, does it irritate my nose!  It's like someone spraying pepper in there.  It's had to go outside to the garden so it's evilness is diluted and blown away.

I do think about that MRI because of that contrast dye.  It's not likely to be good for you but needs must.  My BIL had a heart bypass about 10 years ago and they use a chemical in those heart and lung machines.  He reckoned (when he was with it, before Parkinson's took hold) that the chemical causes brain problems.  Sounds a bit like it did affect him.   Well, maybe.  Cannot say for sure.

Hubby should be happy he's 78 and NOT Donald Trump who is shortly to have a parade in his honour organised by the US military for 10s of millions of dollars.   They should get Elon Musk on it to cut spending.  He could have some Disney characters and an old car and a mariachi  band followed by fun and games at the WH.  Pin the tail on the donkey Donny. Yes you are the donkey!  Not that Elon knows how to save money.  Blowing up rockets over the Caribbean is clearly not friendly and costs a lot.    Hey, Elon, they aren't supposed to blow matey! 🍢💥  Sorry, ranting slightly

It's only Tuesday and it's all getting stacked up for during the week.  It's just starting raining a little bit it might go more than a few spots.  I had to dash outside to bring in the laundry.

At the weekend, we're off down to the countryside to see my MIL's land which has to be disposed of.  It'll be nice to see it in sunny weather but I don't know why anyone would want to own such a plot of land.  OK, if you like fishing but none of us care.   The plan is to remove anything worth keeping.  I cannot see anything worth having.   It might be OK if one could put a caravan on it for sleeping.  But there's no water or sewage, just electricity.   Too much hassle.   We think the neighbours there might buy the land.  They already have a large caravan there permanently.

I am thinking about dog walking but I am not sure I have any enthusiasm today.  I've got some DIY to do.   We went to Obi and it was complete rubbish and an utter waste of time.  Our local ironmongers has better and cheaper stuff.  They had some small furniture screws for 3000 HUF for a packet of 20. But we could buy them individually at the local shop.  So the 8 screws I bought cost ~100 HUF.  Wasn't worth going to Obi.  It's always a disappointment.   I've got an idea to go to Ikea.  Also usually a massive disappointment.  *sigh*.

Only interesting and vaguely exciting news is our son has to do some 50h of work experience this year.  And he's going to work at the zoo!  I suppose mucking out the animals, feeding them, emptying the bins and sweeping up.   It's an unusual job. I probably wouldn't last a day.  It must be genetic because  my eldest also worked at a zoo in England as a volunteer keeper.   She was so enamoured with the elephants she eventually went to Thailand to help at an elephant sanctuary!

That was some years ago and elephants figure less in her future.

Marilyn Tassy

That should be fun to work in the zoo.

My eldest sister was a volunteer for years at the zoo in Minn.

She sometimes worked as an usher for concerts they held there; Saw allot of good concerts for free, Eric Clapton and many others.

I like the butterfly exhibit at the Budapest zoo.

Also just hanging out looking at the flamingos.

Think it costs 5,000 now to enter, I might check out the senior discount price or see about using my neighborhood discount card.

I am a strange adult, still love riding the merry go round.

As a child about 7 we went to a fair; I used all my tickets riding the merry go round; The ride agent saw how much I enjoyed riding that he winked at me and let me have several free rides. Sounds a bit pervy

now but no, he was just a sweet old guy.

It would be hard to have no water or sewage system on a piece of land. Too bad, otherwise it seems great.

Nuts bolts and screws.Hmm;we have 2 huge wooden crates full of industrial quality ones in our Vegas storage unit; I might be a millionaire and do not know it! Yes, my husband flips out when he needs a special nut or bolt, he always says, I wish I had a machine shop again. He gets so mad that 9 times out of 10 he figures out some other way, files something, uses wires, whatever to avoid making the shops rich. If he sees a screw laying on the st; he will pick it up and put it in his collection, we have a collection here but it is nothing like the one we have in Vegas. I think he is crazy until we need one.
