Absolutely Anything Else

My bro and his wife did go to counselling.She is a control freak, she is 6 or 7 years older , got herself a boy toy but now, the goods are damaged.I have her number, she wanted a tall good looking younger husband but now he has seen better times.IDK, how she views herself but she needs to clean her mirror!

That's a good saying, clean the mirror.  What's the vow, "in sickness and in health"?   My friend - whose wife died maybe a year ago - stuck to her to the end.  That included all aspects of home care while she was dying in the bed.  There were carers but not full time.  She eventually passed in hospital so the final days were not about cleaning her up and keeping her alive.  He told me it was a lonely business. She had no relatives - all dead. She passed and he went home to an empty house.  Only the cat for company.  He sure does love that cat.

I am not sure it will come in mail to everyone over age 65 with an address card but the gov.is giving out vouchers soon till Oct.15 . Worth 30,000 each.Our neighbor mentioned it to my husband awhile ago but he told her whatever. Suppose to have filled out an online form to receive the voucher, but never know, the mailman might just drop it off.Orban,s way to fight inflation.Not sure we will get them or not. No biggie but who turns down free money? If we do not take it, some gov.office worker will.The last few years they sent out a letter to take into city hall and get a 20,000 forint voucher for food.Never had to apply in the past.It will be a nice surprise if we get them.

I wonder if I will get one now I am 65.  Perhaps not as I missed a deadline or something.  And not Hungarian.  That's never stopped me before getting invitations to vote in referendums or elections.  I think I can still vote in local elections for the village as I have an address card for here, even if no longer an EU person.  I've never voted locally for anything, even in EU times.  It's all Fidesz here but Mrs F voted for the Two Tailed Dogs apparently. Protest vote.

I was considering going and getting a few lotto tickets. Not sure I want to bother or not.I saw that my zodiac sign has allot of problem gamblers. Not me, just goes to show you can not believe in horoscopes.Cut my husband hair this morning. Saved a few thousand forints once again. It is more about the convenience then saving anything.He dislike going into a barber salon just as much as I dislike a salon visit. - @Marilyn Tassy

We were going to have visitors this arvo.   Our former neighbours.   Ok, we promised. And Mrs F bumps into them a lot in the shops as our former home is only about 400m away.  Life here is very different to the flats where they live and we used to live.  Anyway, they just cancelled - the woman is sick.   She had a hip replacement and somehow one of her legs is several cm shorter than the other one now.  You know the story, measure twice, cut once.  Obviously surgeons didn't read their carpentry manuals that day.

I was suffering this morning due to my over zealous gardening yesterday.   I was using the chainsaw to tidy up a small tree and I shifted some buckets of stones.  Pulled up weeds, turned over the compost.  It  was really dumb.   I think the dog walking I planned is out of the question. I hardly think I can even tackle the stairs.   My hips and back are well and truly screwed.  It'll get better but might take a week.

Nothing wrong with saving a few thousand forints on haircuts. It all adds up.  Mrs F is working on the MIL/FIL's books - 1000s of them.  So far, the online value is like 150K HUF and she's only done about 150 of them. It's going to take months.   And how can it get finished off?   It's a struggle as HU was not using any international standard book number standards (ISBNs) way back.  You can only go on the author and title.  No serial numbers.  Some of the prices shown on the jackets are crazy.  Like 20 Ft! Nuts.  A lot of 1st editions.

Anyway, if we won the lottery, someone else could inventorise those damn books.

Yes, in sickness and in health.

My husband has always been a thoughtful guy.

He never spoils anyone but he does go beyond duty at times.

His surprises come with allot of frustration sometimes.

Once I ordered orthopedic shoes for my job as a dealer. Nothing worst then your smile turning into a frown after hours of standing.

They were strictly for work but I wanted a brown pair for everyday use.

He said maybe next time on the brown shoes.

I was pissed, took over 2 months for them to be made and I knew it could be years before I every ordered them.

Well for 2 months once in awhile I brought it up, husband just said you do not need them.2 pairs is too much;

Went to pick up the black pair and guess what? The clerk came out with a second pair in brown!

Why did he allow me to be so mad at him for months?

Crazy guy. Not the sort to buy flowers for sure.

When I had my cancer treatments, he did so much, days when I did not even know what was going on , he made sure I had what I needed, he even cleaned up after himself!

Any items for my comfort he ran out to get.

Once the doctor suggested a medication because my tummy was really bad, so bad I had to cancel treatments for 12 days.

He spoke with the doctor in the late afternoon and she told him what to get.

He ran to the closest  pharmacy , they had to order it for the next day. Not good enough, he went to another 3 to 4 shops, all out of stock. He jumped on the subway over to a major cancer center in Buda.

Ran there up hill before they closed. 5 mins before closing he got it for me.

I could of waited but he wanted me feeling better ASAP.

Not sure we will get the food vouchers this year or not. There was sort sort of survey online about income or IDK. We have too much to be considered needy but then again, I am not sure how the judge these things. We did not do the form, husband said we do not need it? nice to get however. I will let ya know if it ever arrives in the post.

Every year we got a letter in the mail just because of our ages. You get a letter in the mail, go into city hall and sign that you received your gift cards.

They know how old everyone is. On my 70th BD I even got a BD greeting from our city hall.

On my MIL,s 80th they came to her house with a gift basket. Sort of sweet that they at least act like you matter. In the US you may of been able to eat for free on your BD at some places but doubt they still do that.

I never tried that,we used to go out to a nice dinner,usually Japanese.

We swear by magnesium for body aches and pains, cramps etc.Even with a good diet it is hard to get enough of it after age 65.

That is horrible about your neighbors hip.Might of been better off never having it fixed.

My sister had a hip replacement, so far she never says much about it, must of worked. My cousin had to have 2 on the same hip, first one did not work.

You poor neighbor now has a bad back from her hips being different lengths. She could use those ortho shoes.

Those situations are the ultimate test really aren't they?  When the chips are down, who is going to step up?  Says it all that he did.

I'll never get anything from anyone.  My UK BIL was 80 a few days ago and they sent him a letter saying he could have another 25p, which would be maybe 100 HUF.  A month!   Well great. Just great.   The generosity is incredible. Not.

I take a vitamin pill every day.   It has everything one should need including the magnesium. I was told to do it by the medics as my condition (diabetes) means I could suffer from a B12 deficiency.  I've been tested for that and it's fine. And the body can store several years of it.  If I was a vegan, it could be  a problem but I'm not so no worries.  There's magnesium in my vitamin pill so I reckon I'm OK.  It says on the packet, there's enough for an adult.

I don't know why they got her leg length wrong and why they seemed to think it was OK.  I suppose they could lengthen the bone using those screw things.  Or she's got some shoes where one has a big thick sole on it.   We haven't got the story from them yet so we'll have to wait for the actual details.

In that same flat complex, one of the other neighbours had it done - both of them and we saw him riding his bike about a month afterwards.  So it must be possible to get it done.  Must have had complications with the shorter leg.

I rediscovered my massage ball.  I put it on my back while I'm sitting in my office chair.  It puts the pressure on, just at the right place.  It's amazing.  I'd completely forgotten that I had it.   It's almost addictive.

For muscle pain and back aches we were told a male needs a min; of 1,000 mg daily of magnesium and a female 500mg.

My husband takes it daily and so do I.

Not a miracle but it helps allot.

There are several different types of magnesium; Some for heart issues, some for muscle issues and some for better sleep; The oxide type is no good for anything.

My brother just changed his address to a friends home.

His wife got his disability check in the mail and tried to cash it!!! I told him to get direct deposit.

Federal crime!!! Thank God the bank clerk was doing their job and held the check, did not cash it.

The clerk told my bro his wife was going nuts.

I sent him info of reporting her to SSA. I would not think twice about it if I was him.She can not live on $7,000; a month but needs his sick money? I know it is not nice to hate but...

He even said she called the court to say she could not get his money! Dululu land.

Gov; benefits are not community property, no one can touch them, not even debt collectors.

Karma is going to get her sadly not soon enough!

My brother is dealing with so much that he joked he wishes he was still in a coma!

It is an issue to have a bone longer then the other, legs are the worst.

My sons arm is a good 2 inches shorter then the other; Had surgery at UCLA but it effected his growth plate since he was a child when it happened; They offered that screw, cage device but we let him decide since it would of taken over a year to finish and we would have to put the screws on him everyday.

He said no way, he is not sorry either.

Have errands to run today, getting more magnesium is on the list.

It's a tough one - grassing (US: snitching) on someone is a bit of a nuclear option.  Maybe he could use it for leverage in a negotiation.  But that's a pretty low thing to do - take his disability check. If anyone needs it, he does.

Is the wife on drugs or has gambling debts or something?  Or has she lost her marbles. She sounds pretty desperate to try and cash that cheque (US: check).   USD 7000 a month is a fortune for retired folks.  I could easily use that and have a damn good life.

Maybe your bro could have her committed to a mental hospital and he be appointed conservator/guardian (or whatever it's called in the US).  She might have something justifiably medical wrong with her.  It seems she's gone off the rails.  If she could pose a threat to your bro or others or herself, this might be leverage.   I've heard people with dementia get angry in the initial phases of the disease so maybe this has some connection.  It's not uncommon for people to get dementia in their 50s or 60s.  It doesn't have to be like way into the 70s, 80s and 90s etc.

Interestingly enough my nephew pinged me about his mother (my sister) about how looney she is.  This has been going on just forever.  There was a long discussion about this happened and that happened.  Very much a broken record.  All I could was say, look, if it's all that bad, stop talking to each other, keep away or seek professional help. I am sure my nephew's wife winds him up and stresses him as there's bad blood between the wife and my sister.  And my BIL cannot say anything now as he's vegetating in his wheel chair (Parkinson's).   I've stopped bothering being pro-active and trying to help my nephew. Apart from his complaining, he lives in Delulu Land as well.

It seems gradually everyone has mental health conditions.  Either ADHD or Autism.   I'm getting bored hearing about who has ADHD. Seems like half the population at least. I am very sceptical because I thought people were on the most part reasonable.  Now, mental health issues seem to be on the agenda for everyone who says the wrong thing or has a rant and maybe has the odd screw loose (don't we all?).  WTF is going on?

Being eccentric is fine btw and I'd mostly celebrate that if the eccentricity is harmless.  The British used to revel in eccentric people.

Maybe the limb lengthening thing is not so bad now.  New techniques etc.  Perhaps it works better on the young.  But would the bone be strong enough?  I mean it takes years for bone to grow.  It wouldn't be good to have an extended leg done and then find it collapses suddenly.  That'd be horrific.

I looked at my Vitamin and Minerals bottle and it says 100mg magnesium is included. I hope it's enough.  Not quite enough according to your numbers. 10 x too little.

My big issue right now is that I think I'll have to start on the insulin.  My glucose levels are too high.  Not crazy high but consistently not good.  In the normal course of the disease, all the meds become ineffective until the only way forward is insulin.  It's really not making me happy (but not fearful) but after thinking on it for months, I am beginning to wonder what normal feels like - i.e. not being tired or feeling generally rubbish.  Maybe insulin will make me feel better than I do now.   I guess all I can do is try it.   I'm finding it hard to accept I'll have to start injecting myself with it daily.

As part of a regime to avoid more diabetic meds, I now have breakfast at 11am and try not to eat lunch.  It's OK on the breakfast but the lunch is a little difficult.  It's now 11.10h so I'm late for brekkie.

Marilyn Tassy

100 mg is not enough; Those all in one vitamins make big claims but the process of making them etc; is not all that great. Most use allot of petroleum as their base.

It is better to take minerals and vitamins one at a time not those all in one pills;

There are as far as I know 5 good types of magnisium

All for different purposes.

Orotate

Malate

Citrate

Taurninate

Bisglycinate

I think there is another one starting with a G?

ATM we have bisglycinate Citrate we took for awhile.

It is our thing now, trying new mixes of magnisium!

Leafy greens are good but hard to get enough by food alone, the ground is depleted and no one usually eats cups and cups of greens.

I would defo try to add more magnisium before getting on insulin.

My aunt took insulin and it is another hassle daily, right times, how much, keep it in the fridge etc.

Yes, his wife is off her rocker but IDK if it is very easy to Section a person in the US.

Easier in the UK. If it were easy at least half the population would be locked up!

I told hi to just stay far away from her and not answer her calls, keep a record of them and never delete her messages.

I am trying with my limited mind and access to info to help him.

Everyone claiming to have problems is due to the internet. Everyone thinks other people live perfect lives and nothing every goes wrong.

If only...

I have a feeling they do spray the air with chemicals that make everyone dull and tired. Easy to control people who can not think straight.

IDK why they did not put screws on my husbands cousins leg. They guy who was 17 and got his knee blown out in 1956; He was sent on one of the first transports out of Hungary to Switzerland.

He had lived in WW2 with a childless rich couple in Switzerland for a few years during the war.

When they found out he had been shot, they rushed to his side; Later they adopted hi and he never returned to Hungary. If anyone could afford to fix his leg, they would have. He had to wear those shoes that were built up a few inches.

Marilyn Tassy

Some of these types of magnisium are not easy to find here.

Looked all over for Taurinate but so far can not find it.

Tried buying vitamins online, at Gym Bean store, Rossman and a few other places like the Bio shop.

Oxide that is what they usually put in those all in one vitamin pills is not good for you overall.

Check out Dr; Berg on U tube, he has short videos on different subjects.

Not everyone likes him, my Vegas friend hates him but I think he is very informative and gives good advice.

he has a video on just about any issue, everything solved for the most part through food, vitamins and exercise.

They way I see it, it can not hurt, doctors are always there with their magic pills if needed.

Getting mental help in the US is not easy. My sister has called the country several times about halfie and they never return her calls.They do not want to pay to care for them.

I didn't know there were so many forms of it.  I'm going to have read up on it.  Mrs F will no doubt be going somewhere where we can find it.  The problem here is that I don't want branded products as they are 3-4 x more expensive for the same thing.   We do eat green leafy vegetables - usually spinach.  But I cannot eat that every day.  I'd turn into Popeye.  But I'm willing to try anything to make it work better.

I Google'd how to commit someone in CA and it's quite difficult. Behaving irrationally is not enough.  They have to be a danger to themselves, other people or incapable of looking after themselves (such that they'd die).

So trying to cash the disability and ignoring her own court orders isn't going to cut it.    She needs to start saying far worse things.

And what I find really strange is that it's down to the cops to decide.  Like cops are mental health professionals?  Trigger happy cops with guns and low mental health awareness don't mix.  Someone having a crisis is likely to get shot.

Of course, is criminality or lack of reason sufficient reason to commit someone?  Imagine being banged up on mental health grounds for ignoring parking tickets or walking on the grass in the park.  And being held indefinitely?  I suspect a lot of people in prison have mental health issues.

It helps to have sponsorship.  I can imagine being helped by a rich couple in Switzerland was far better than hanging out here during all that turmoil.   I suppose he became a Swiss person.  That's really difficult to do.  My friend is a Swiss citizen through his mother.  He still had to prove he was a suitable person to hold a Swiss passport, even though his Mum is 100% Swiss.  Just weird.

BTW, I worked in Switzerland and I can confirm it is actually very boring there and extremely expensive.  And unnecessarily so.

I'm always concerned the docs are just experimenting on people.  They try different treatments until one works.  It's like pin the tail on the donkey.  They think they might just get lucky.   I've never heard of Dr Berg but I'll look on YT.    Buying stuff here that's a bit obscure will be almost impossible.  Small country, small market = no availability or high prices.

I needed hobby car parts the other day. It's for scheduled maintenance.   Delivered from Germany on Monday. Simply not available here. Other options to buy, Poland and China.  Must be bigger markets to get availability.  Problem with Germany, high and green courier costs.  Lot cheaper to deliver to Austria. I paid about EUR 230 for the parts and EUR 20 for the courier.   Would have been EUR 11 if delivered to Austria. And free in Germany.  Grrr....

I expected mental health to not be an easy ride to help.  Same in the UK.  At least the cops don't have guns but they do have tasers and they have killed vulnerable people using them.

I guess it's the same where your halfie and sister is as CA. Has to be a danger to life to someone.  But if the SIL goes further off the rails, it could be an avenue for leverage.

Marilyn Tassy

Easy to understand why the US has such a high murder rate.

I just read the news about 2 UK guys touring Hungary and renting out a B&B in the 7th district.

The 34 year old stabbed the 28 year old to death and tried to throw his body off the roof!

Someone had called the cops and they found the murderer dragging the deceased mans body down the hallway!

Not exactly an undercover move!

No doubt alcohol was involved.

Sad really, they said the guy will get 1 to 15 years. Seems like a real slap in the face to the dead guy. Makes you wonder how a HU prison is; maybe a year is like 25 years in a Swedish prison?

Someone must have money to get off so lightly.

We ordered vitamins online for years, just recently they stopped allowing customers  to do in store pick up.Dislike waiting around for a delivery guy so have been ordering at shops, at least for now.

I forget the name of the co; but it translates in English to ,To your health .com

Their prices were good overall but now since they charge for delivery not sure it equals out any longer.

We buy different brands and different formulas, sometimes we reorder or buy the same product.

My husband is not the sort to mention a ache or pain unless it really lasts or is painful.

A few years ago his back really hurt, hurt so much he went to a chiropractor in our area.

The guy tried to give him an adjustment but he was so tight. Was told to take 1,000 mg of magnisium and come back for another adjustment in 2 weeks.

Guess 2 weeks is the marker to see results with taking magnisium.

It worked, my husband did not bother going back to the guy.

I admit, the guy was a bit strange;

His office was in his living room, his dog was jumping all over and overall it was not a professional visit.

He shook my husbands hand as we left but grabbed me and gave me a kiss on each cheek.

It was odd and very uncomfortable for that to happen. All I did was pet his dog!

My husband was not happy about it either.

Too many years living in the US where no one kisses strangers, darn, I feel weird kissing family at times

In some way hubbies cousin got lucky to be adopted by that wealthy older couple; They had no children of their own and he got whatever they had.

He might be dead by now, must be in his mid 80s by now. He became a painter, oil paintings, not homes.

Out for cheap flights at Vienna-Schwechat Airport: Hungarian Wizz Air is closing its location. The first part of the planes are scheduled to be withdrawn in October, and then connections to Bilbao and London-Gatwick will be suspended. The rest will follow in March. The airline cites significantly increased airport fees, taxes and ground finishing costs in Vienna as well as the strategic focus on core markets in Central and Eastern Europe as the reasons for the withdrawal.

Never used Wizz air but that is too bad for those who depend on it.

Routes are changing on many airlines. I heard flights to the US are not as busy but then again, the airlines know how to make the most of it. Limit the amount of flights and over pack the few they have.

So disappointed in airlines.Charging for every little nicety.

Next year they are suppose to have none stop flights from Budapest to the US and Canada.

I bet they will raise the prices on those direct flights.

Got a link to that story? It's significant to me.

While I don't like the airport at all, VIE was always an alternative to BUD.   It's nuisance to get to but not impossible.

It has a lot more long haul connections than BUD.  Austrian operate feeder routers into VIE to use it has a hub.

There used to be BUD flights to Toronto, Montreal and NYC.  I don't think they've operated since Malev ended.

Marilyn Tassy

Malev was a nice airline; Great service.

I hate to give wrong advice, if you start taking magnisium, 1,000 might be good for the first 2 weeks then adjust it to a lower mg. maybe 500 mg per day; There is no real clear cut numbers, have to see how you feel, how you tolerate it etc.

Some types may bother your digestion it all depends on each persons needs.

Doctors never tell you about vitamins. They must work , so anti pharma they do not want people curing themselves.No profit is well people.

My brothers wife cancelled his auto insurance on him! She is getting outright mean;

He cancelled the gas to their condo since it was in his name.

He has to go into his bank for the 4th time this week; She is forging checks in his name and they are bouncing like a ball!!

$7,000 a month is not enough to support her??

He went to probation court yesterday, they judge had feelings for his situation but of course there are rules to follow. I wish he had asked for a police escort from the judge while he was there; He could go collect his personal items from home with an escort.

I told him to report her to the police for fraud,some credit co; do require a police report to stop payments on bad checks and not ruin a persons line of credit.

It is really turning into a soap opera.

Tune in for updates!

I guess the HU murder perp will plead temporary insanity.  I've seen a TV show (ok not reality), where the murdering perp ended up in a mental hospital, lasted there 2 years, then everyone said he was cured and could be released.   So that was a cheap sentence for a nasty crime.  As you say, no-one should forget the victim.    Our neighbour was in jail for some reason - in his youth.  But what he did, we don't know.  And we don't want to ask.  He's always been nice to us and we want to keep it that way.  I suppose a Swedish prison should be quite nice. And Dutch ones.

I admit, the guy was a bit strange;
His office was in his living room, his dog was jumping all over and overall it was not a professional visit.

Sounds very odd.  I was in a few places where medics were working out of their homes.  Even our dentist was doing that.  In the end, he bought the place next door and turned it into a proper practice with its own front door etc.  He's retired now so that's left us up the creek.  But we have another connection through the BIL so I think he's the new dentist.  He's younger so I reckon we'll not run out of time with him.  I should go there and get a once over.

- @Marilyn Tassy

That's a problem.  I've gone native and do the double kisses.  It did get a bit awkward with someone who clearly didn't expect it. I do agree, it's not normal in other countries.  British people don't do it generally.  And I had an awkward moment with a NZ co-worker that I hadn't seen for some years.  I now do it on auto pilot or follow the other's lead.  It gets a bit odd with people I hardly know.  But after being here so long, it really depends.  Like if my BIL came around with a new GF we've never seen before, then he'll get a handshake and the GF will get the puszi-puszis.

BTW, I've got  "hidden" hobby.   I'm a minor collector of international abstract art - paintings, sculptures etc.  Our art student daughter went to an art show in Budapest and sent us a load of pictures.   Absolutely beautiful pieces (at least to me).  Link here: Vasarely.  Annoyingly, not free for non-EEA on the 2nd Saturday free days.  No discounts for Brexit refugees. Pah, humbug.

fluffy2560

Malev was a nice airline; Great service.

I liked Malev too. I was "Gold" on them and I took many flights in the region with them.  I lost all my benefits when it turned turtle and sunk.  EU did that and OV gave it a push too.

Essentially it was an assassination so Wizzair could take over.   I reckon it could have been turned around with retirements, redundancies and restructuring.  I am sure most of the  active flight personnel in Wizzair were ex-Malev at one point.   I suppose it's changed since the collapse of Malev. New blood etc brought on.

I'm OK on this Magnesium thing.  Probably best is to start lower and then titrate up to higher doses to  set the tolerance.  Mrs F is on the job.  We probably can get some at DM Markt or elsewhere.  I do hate the issue here of branded medicines.  Non-branded generics just as good. Same licensing, same testing, same rules.

My brothers wife cancelled his auto insurance on him! It is certainly a soap opera.

She's got something going on.  Either someone else is pulling the strings (even a lawyer) and interfering, she's lost her marbles. maybe on drugs or medical or something like that or simply just out for revenge or angling for attention.

It could be simply that. Just attention seeking.  She's already breaking her own restraining order.  She sounds like she's being manipulated.  She probably didn't think of these things on her own.

Either way, it's totally unfair and ongoing escalation.  It's always the same. It's like one minute it's love, then when it's unrequited, it's war.  How many times has this scenario played out in relationships all over?

I reckon it needs a decent negotiator on the job to try and find a solution and set some rules of play.   Like reducing it to lists of points on both sides and drawing a line.   Forget about reconciliation now, it's about balancing up the books in the end.  And I mean, emotionally as well as financially.    Clear the air.

I do know from my ex-wife's behaviour, there's an absolutely lunacy in some people.  They are completely irrational.  Speaking slowly and trying to be logical is just infuriating for some people primarily driven by emotion.  They are unable to understand.   These are the kinds of people who'd reach for guns or weapons and not think of the consequences.

I think time will tell.   Leaving it for a while will help. Maybe your bro should head to your sister and halfie's location for a few days or a week or so.   A break from each other will give it time to cool down.

Obviously I know nothing of what is really going on. Much is speculation. I'm probably being too rational for those involved.

SIL is out of her mind.

She has A Fib, loads of people do but for her of course it is the end of the world.

She is one reason my brother got sepsis if you ask me;

He was in wound care for his latest toe amputation but the queen needed a nurse, it was him;

He was out and about, standing cleaning and cooking for her etc; He was told he needed to be off his feet till his toe healed but not with her demands.

She is on about 30 different drugs; All scripts as if that matters.

Hormone pills, anxiety pills, pain pills and God knows what else; Her mood swings are too much.

My brother has not drank for over 2 years so it is her issues.

I know she ses him like half a man now due to losing his leg. She has no respect and no love in her.

She puts on a show for her cat women teacher friends, all single old maids.They probably secretly are or were jealous of her being married and now their venom is spitting out. Feeding her ego with she is too good for him;

They did that years ago before they married, he is not good enough for smart arse her, well I think she is rather an idiot!

My brother went to his bank about her writing bad checks to his old account; Total she has written are now up to 9 bad checks!

Thankfully the bank told him he is not responsible for them. I believe he told his probation officer what she is doing. Hope so, she needs some time in the clink!

Haflie has gone nuts too. I could write a book! Not a very exciting book but a book about being stupid in a world that does not care.

Maybe she needs to come off all those meds and be reviewed by a Doc and only have the needed ones.   She sounds highly strung, over medicated and suffering from psychological problems.

Alcohol is the cause of much domestic confrontations.  Best not to do.

Maybe, and I am being rather cynical, they could try Jesus together.   I'm absolutely at best an agnostic and at "worst" an atheist but all that happy clappy singing stuff could bring them together.  Only a thought.  Last resort.

There we go then, "in sickness and in health".  Maybe she had her fingers crossed behind her back at the wedding, presumably religious rather than civil.

Yes, that's fraud writing bad checks.  I think the cops probably need to visit her to read her the riot act.  I wonder why she has to do that?  Drugs, gambling, being blackmailed, just nuttiness?  No idea of course but I have an almost entirely film plot driven imagination.

Haflie has gone nuts too. I could write a book! Not a very exciting book but a book about being stupid in a world that does not care. - @Marilyn Tassy

Ah, now a book!

I think you should you have some good anecdotes from life in 60s CA etc.  And in the background of an "entertaining" family.   Just type it up and save it as just pages. Just get it down.  A good book editor or ghost writer could assemble it into a story easily enough.  The biggest problem is getting started.  Main thing is to just start and as time goes on, how it should look becomes more and more obvious.   I'm no author but I mainly actually write for a living.   I do other things to know what to write about.  But in the end, it's words on paper.   As I just said, just starting is really the most difficult problem.

And what madness is the halfie up to now?

Stupidity is everywhere.  The Darwin awards have started an AI version - How AI will mess up people's lives and do crazy things.  I'm working with morons.  I've had to ask for management to intervene as they seem to be on a kamikaze ride into oblivion and taking me with them.

BTW, my relative is on WhatsApp asking for marital advice - like I would know....I've got a big mouth and many opinions that's for sure. But at least I know my limitations (if any).

My brother actually has become more of a person of faith since all he has gone through. Always said he believed in Jesus, even has a tat!

Now he says his friend the minister and his wife helped him allot; They picked him up from jaill, spent over 3 hours trying to speak to him with his wife about Biblical things about marriage; He is willing but she is off her rocker;I think it is best if he cuts her off for good.

He has been under her thumb since they married. I had no idea she was that rotten.

Angle face with a devils heart!

I have suggested he ask for an injection against her harassing him, calling, texting etc.

I know she is setting him up to get more time locked up, he needs to stay clear of crazy.He can even seek a request on her order of protection since she is the one violating it.

Until it is OK with a judge however, he needs to be careful of her sneaky ways.

I asked him if his bank wants a police report about her bad checks, they usually do for legal reasons.

He still seems to care for her, if not he would protect himself more.

Halvie, or is it Halfie, no matter, nutter sister, is on her phone all day long into the night, she however never checks her e mails;

When she moved in with the elder sister she set her up with pass codes, etc; Had her write them all down for safe keeping;Of course she misplaced the codes!

I should not talk, I lost some of mine too over the years but I am not trying to get a job.

Walmart e mailed her to come in for a orientation. Never saw the message and missed the date!!

Elder had her e mail them, they were nice and made a new date for her to come in.

The younger still does not know how to sign into the elders computer. older one just walked in the door yesterday from work and haflie started yelling at her to check her mailbox for her!

What the heck does she think about herself.

She had her wallet stolen , what a month ago? Still has no photo ID. Walmart told her to bring one in.

Older one now has to pay for the others ID just in hopes she actually starts working.

I get so angry, the older one is turning 78 in a few weeks and does not deserve this treatment.

I told her to have the user sign a document on exactly how much she owes her to date; Take all if any paychecks from her until she is fully paid back; Before the younger one can buy more useless junk like ore salt and pepper shakers or more towels. Or get fired.

I am glad the younger one can not check her mail and that I do not use a phone right now;

If so, I would lose it and tell her off.

I will never loan her a penny if she needs it.

I can now understand why some people cut family members out of their wills. Some people need to learn lessons.

My husband and I live a peaceful life and he dislikes my family upsetting me. he asks what can I do, not much so why worry. True but not so easy to do.

My brother can not legally travel right now, he is limited to staying in Ventura county while on probation;

He would need to show a judge a solid plan if they allowed him to move away out of the country.

Walking the streets but still a in prison.

Sorry about that huge space between thoughts.

I am stressed out over their problems.

People are not mentally there these days;

This morning we were chatting , my husband said when he was young he could look at strangers on the street and see they were like him. Normal people going about their day not bothering anyone; Smart, city people who knew how to act in public etc; He said, where did they all go?

I told him they either moved away, died or are afraid to go out!

Yesterday, I allowed myself to get angry  over a thoughtless dude. I am usually cool, might just call out a name and let it go.

Walking home on our st; and school children were approaching us.I walked on the right side to let them pass; No problem. Out of the blue some really tall dumb looking, acting guy in his 20,s wearing headphones just about knocks me over to me left; He passed really fast on my right side, never gave warning or said excuse me; The magic words, if someone says excuse me, that goes a long way.

He was walking like Charlie Chaplin, feet splayed out and  in another world;

I called out, Excuse me, then I saw his headphones on . Then I called out , You Knuckle head! Think he heard that as he crooked his head. I had a bag of apples in hand and went up to him and starting swinging them towards his bottom; lost my mind for a moment while calling him names. He acted like he did not hear a thing! Took of his headphones and escaped into a building;

Man, why on earth do I get myself so worked up over idiots on the street? A simple excuse me would of been enough;

My husband was laughing because I walked behind the guy also like Charlie Chaplin, the duck walk.

They defo are spraying the air with something!

My husband did say the guy was out of his mind, just looking at him told the story but he also said he was dangerous; If I was a typical little old lady he could of lost his balance and pushed me to the ground and broken my bones, very easiley, one reason I was so mad knowing how fragile old people can be and getting no respect at all.

Staying in today to keep the world a safer place for all!

They always side with the woman usually.  At least they do in the UK.  It drove me insane.  My relative is being emotionally beat up by his wife.  He's reached out for help, rejected it, then he's reached out again saying they are useless and he can deal with it via You Tube.  WTF?  I've told him to physically meet with someone because YT does nothing to deal with his isolation.

I sincerely hope your bro has someone local to confide in.  And I don't mean the bible bashers.  Praying over a dusty book made up by some dudes thousands of years ago isn't going to cut it.

Halvie, Halfie - dunno but the last one seems to look better.

So much crazy stuff going on.  Confucious said "may we live in interesting times" or something like it. I think I'd prefer less stress.   Your bro must be able to live his life and go somewhere else. Hanging about with his wife on the prowl and some kind of mania going on between them isn't helping stabilise things.  Maybe he can ask to be allowed to travel out of the county to visit "elderly" relatives.  It must be allowed.  I'm not saying move, just visit and come back for the probation officer.

I think those earphone and phone zombies need to get a life.  But I think most people are wandering through life without noticing anything around them.  They should wake up.   And probably smell the coffee if available.

We were walking the dog and our dog, always out for a friend, rushed over to a young woman.  She was very happy to pat our dog and our dog was super happy to have a new person to give her some love.  That was just normal stuff.

We've had other dog people screaming when our dog rushes over to be friends with their dog.  Literally sounding like a fire alarm siren.   I know our dog is super friendly and enthusiastic for fresh experiences but anyone who knows dogs, they can read the body language and see it's no threat.

I see they caught a suspect in that shooting.  And he was dobbed in by his father.  And Trump sticks his face in a legal process to say he needs to be executed/death penalty.  Where's the due process?  Meh, I should lay off the news sites.  I should stick to sci-fi, zombies, aliens and vampires.

My Vegas friend and someone she knows both got into it on FB about that Charlie Kirk thing.

I had never heard of him before,never follow politics much.

So silly to have  a drag out verbal fights with strangers on line about things that in reality have zero to do with our lives. Like our opinions matter?

I was banned for 6 months on FB, honestly I have no idea why.

Something to do with running an add, but I never run adds or sell anything on FB.

Some scammer must of done it to me; At first I was upset about the ban for 180 days but now, I feel free. Anyone who needs to contact me knows how to.

Nothing is that important anyways; Remember snail mail? Sometimes it took weeks to get news or longer.

Everyone seemed happier then too!

I rarely let my Max off lead just because he was a excitable, super large Doberman and he frightened people just by his looks;

He was the sweetest thing though.

Yes, dog people can tell if a dog is friendly or not. Most of those dog walkers are probably on their phones and not even paying attention to their own dogs.

I see it all the time, people with a long lead on the phones not watching their dogs at all. I used to chat with my dog as we walked; They are not stupid and they do understand language. They like it when you chat with them.

Lon, my bro filed a police report!!! I am glad of it. A detective is looking into it! Jail time I hope for his wife! Crazy thing is my eldest sister told me in the past Halfie was doing the same thing to him!!

You would think he would not use checks any longer, direct payments are safer in his case.

Halfie is suppose to start at Walmart this coming Monday!! Hope her Walmart career is not over with by noon on Monday!

The eldest just wants her to fix her car and move out, then start paying her back, she wants her freedom back more then even her money.

Time will tell but if they offered odds, I would bet she can not show up on time within a week. Excuse after excuse with her.

I did actually suggest to my husband that I go get my brother and bring him here for a vacation. IDK, not so easy we would have a time getting him up the stairs and inside our flat.

IDK, if he was clear to leave , he has the means to live here.

Might even think of buying a larger house outside the city limits. Peaceful with a garden.

My eldest should come too. Next year Cindy should be getting her widows payments from the gov;

I probably would move away rather then have them all in the same house with me!!

Love from afar is better!

Cindy is known for her 3 hour showers,no one needs those water and power bills!

This is the only social media I'm in.   I'm deliberately not in any of those things like FB, Instagram, Linked In etc. When I saw what it was doing, I had massive privacy concerns and did not like exploitation of my data.  At least here, there's some anonymity but obvious the management here know who I am but I try to be very careful in what I give away.   I therefore decided not to be in any of it.  However, I know I'm tagged in photos.

As far as the dead guy goes, I'd never heard of him.   When I read up on him, he seemed to be a 30 year old subjecting younger people 18 year olds to extremist views.   That's not fair play and a manipulation.  I don't miss him, makes no impact on me and it's a long way away in a niche that I don't care about.  He was however able to interfere with the Teflon Don's thinking.   So in that respect he was influential so there will be minor knock on effects but by the time the funeral is over, everyone will have moved on to other things.  And he'll be yesterday's news.

It seemed to be a US thing but increasingly I'm seeing US politicians sticking their faces in on English speaking world politics. It can only be because they don't have language skills to read news in other languages.   Same as here, the average HU person won't be able to read a newspaper in another language so they believe OV's schtick.  It's a technique that's time honoured - control the media, control beliefs.

I rarely let my Max off lead just because he was a excitable, super large Doberman and he frightened people just by his looks;He was the sweetest thing though.Yes, dog people can tell if a dog is friendly or not. I read a dog could know up to 200 words.  That's almost the same as having enough words for a human to get by in a foreign language basics.   I talk to my dog as well.  I can say anything to her and she doesn't complain and doesn't want me to explain.   She's very happy if I call her a complete idiot and swear at her so long as I do it in a happy voice.  That's the key isn't it?  Delivery!  And maybe like comedians, dogs need timing.

Lon, my bro filed a police report!!! I am glad of it. A detective is looking into it! Jail time I hope for his wife! Crazy thing is my eldest sister told me in the past Halfie was doing the same thing to him!!You would think he would not use checks any longer, direct payments are safer in his case.

He didn't have any choice.  She'll get probation too.  And a sad fall for an formerly upstanding teacher. I expect the judge to admonish her - a lot.  I think she needs a mental health assessment.  Maybe Lon could push that angle.  Quite possibly she'd be detained or at least seen by social services.

I suspect someone who is more or less normal acting out of character suddenly changing looks a bit medical.  I keep thinking drugs, dementia or some psychiatric problem.

US and Canada is a real problem with check technology.  It's pathetic really - sorry, it's what I've read and I have directly experienced.  I read one reason Trump wants control over things like the US government payment system is so he  can print his face on the checks.   Transfers won't allow him to do that.  Anyway, US is so fragmented on its technology for payments, I've seen African countries doing better. And cash is just going away.   I read just 20% of transactions now across the EU are cash.  Everything else is electronic.   In the UK, it's becoming impossible to pay in cash.  I keep cash in my wallet but I've been reducing it.  PReviously I might have say, 20K HUF in there.  Now I've got about 10K HUF.  Just no point in keeping the paper when I can just use a card or my phone.  In 10 years, I reckon well under 5% of transactions will be in cash.  Maybe even gone altogether in some countries.

Halfie is suppose to start at Walmart this coming Monday!! Hope her Walmart career is not over with by noon on Monday!The eldest just wants her to fix her car and move out, then start paying her back, she wants her freedom back more then even her money.Time will tell but if they offered odds, I would bet she can not show up on time within a week. Excuse after excuse with her.I did actually suggest to my husband that I go get my brother and bring him here for a vacation. IDK, not so easy we would have a time getting him up the stairs and inside our flat.IDK, if he was clear to leave , he has the means to live here.Might even think of buying a larger house outside the city limits. Peaceful with a garden.My eldest should come too. Next year Cindy should be getting her widows payments from the gov; I probably would move away rather then have them all in the same house with me!!Love from afar is better!Cindy is known for her 3 hour showers,no one needs those water and power bills! - @Marilyn Tassy

That'll be a new twist on the soap opera - Walmart begins.  If she can keep going for 3 months, she'll possibly settle into it.  Fingers crossed.  For everyone.  Older Sis might just get payback and Halfie can get her own place and live her own life.  How can anyone have a 3h shower?  I don't think any water heaters here would support that.

I've heard about older folks moving in together.  I can see that might work under the right circumstances.  Everyone gets company, help, security and even interpretation.   And by pooling resources, they might get the deeper care older people need like mobility and nursing help.    There are loads of large houses in the countryside that are empty and could be fixed up.  It's a bit of a business here now, these kinds of paid for care homes.  But a family one could be like a cooperative.  It's a shame my bro isn't alive - he'd have been up for financing that kind of thing.  He was pretty well of financially.

Maybe your bro could just have a rented apartment here on a ground floor for a short period while he recovers his situation somewhat.  I know he's limited in leaving but that won't be forever.   Only problem here would be isolation and language issues.

I actually suggested to my 2nd daughter that she and her BF come and live here.  We'd rent them an apartment for 6 months over the summer.  But it would be difficult for work for them and the money low.  He could work as EU (he's an artist) , but my daughter (Human Resources), less so as only British, only possibly on his coat tails.  And neither of them speak Hungarian. They are only in the mid-30s so they don't want to hang out with the oldies so they went to Canada.   Both are learning French as Ontario needs that apparently.  They said they'd go to Vancouver, BC as no-one cares about French there. I'd love it if they went to BC and got jobs in the film industry!  Then I could go there on holiday and be an industry groupie cum hanger-on.

Anyway, big news from them is they got married in Canada yesterday.  Yay!  I knew it was coming but didn't know the date.  We saw the pictures but not able to interact yet due to the time difference.

Marilyn Tassy

Congrats on the wedding!!

Maybe a grand Fluffy is in the cards?!

My deceased sister lived in Vancouver for a year in the 70,s. She loved it.

Filming once again last night and this morning on our st.

Was chatting with our son this morning in Japan.

He had a crazy idea for U tube or tick tock shorts,setting up a camera on Cindy at Walmart. All the interactions with customers and her lazy way of handling things, would be funny.

This is also my only so called social media.

Life is too short to sit all day long sharing nothing all that important.

Sometimes it is fun and other times I feel foolish.

Lon is letting me know his wife did not pay her bills for over 2 months when he was in a coma! What the heck?

In rehab she brought in the bills and had him pay from his bed when he awoke!

His buddy from HS visited him everyday before work for over 3 weeks. He said he never saw Lons wife there! The staff did not either! She lied telling him she was there everyday holding his hand and praying.

What sort of sick person does that??

I am disgusted.

She likes to look like a caring person to everyone but it is all a big lie.

She is playing head games, telling LOn she is thinking of moving her ex into her home or to her condo in AZ. Just have him pay the HOA fee of $500.

Yes, maybe a grand-Fluffyette will appear.  But not before they get themselves a proper life.  Decent living place, proper jobs, cars and improved domestic circumstances.  They are a bit like gypsies wandering the Earth. I thought maybe they'd come back to Europe, go and live in Ireland (he's Irish) and sort it all out there.  A kid need stability and predictability.  British and Irish have special agreements on living in each other's countries so no Brexit issue.  We have no restrictions on living and working in Ireland.

I always got the impression BC was very rainy.  Same as Seattle.   The number of times you've mentioned them filming in your street, they should be giving you money for the inconvenience and hassle.  I begin to think I know which one it is.  Often doubling as Paris if it's the one I think it is. I've seen the same street in quite a few films.

Cindy and Walmart might have something to say about it.  Cindy would be outed.  And Walmart would look slapdash at hiring.  Perhaps.  There's those photos of "People of Walmart" floating around the Internet. Some really odd types there but then again, each to their own.

Internet is a massive waste of time.  But it is useful of course.   I mean, we're here.  And I use it for work a lot of course and it's great for research. I spend quite a lot of time getting things on ChatGPT.  Saves me looking things up but while it can write English well, I think some of what it says is wrong.

But ChatGPT cannot do everything.  Yesterday I had to replace a headlight bulb on one of the cars. It's an insane design. I have to remove half the front, just to get to the bulb.  It's impossible to see and impossible to get your hand in there. A 15m job turns into 2.5h. Wheels off, plastic bumper off, two people to do it - one to hold the light and the other to do the fiddly work.   ChatGPT needs to be  a real robot that can do things like that. Musk is planning to send robots to Mars.  Better if he goes and leaves the robots here for us.

I guess if he was in coma, why bother visiting him?  I would think just sitting there chatting about nothing much might help.  No-one knows what goes on in a coma. I suppose it's just like a bad dream.  My cousins told me it was pointless visiting their Dad.  He had Alzheimers.  Didn't know up or down.  I think they just stopped going.  He didn't know who they were anyway and they lived far away.

What is going on with her money?  If she really has a pension of $7K a month, where is it going?   Is she giving it away somehow?  Gambling? Drugs? Something!

I'd find it hard to spend half of that!   I could try though!

Marilyn Tassy

Lon told me after awhile he remembered being in the medical coma. He could hear the doctors and nurses talking. Knew sort of what was going on around him but it felt allot like a dream.

His friend who visited him is a cool guy. He was his Best Man at his first wedding.

Spending that much every month seems hard to us normal minded people. How many things do you actually need at once?

She probably helps her 2 sons out and does spend on eating out and wasting.

Just spent a ton on redoing their condo, even put in a huge copper sink in the kitchen.

What a waste if she is not making the payments.

Never trusted her the few times I met her. IDK why  but Lon always gets himself some selfish type mate.

My brother Mike made good money but he never wasted a penny; Generous if someone was in need but he still viewed me as a credit card queen even years later when I repented.

He bought a new Jeep and kept it for over 35 years? Fixed it up to go off road and kept it in good condition.

Would buy weapons worth thousands of bucks but kept them oiled, cleaned and ready for anything.

When he and his wife visited everyone in Vegas for a reunion, he was so generous it made me hold back and refuse meals out; He was paying for everyone,s meals 3 times per day for 4 days. At the time I was a bit put off by Lon and his wife because I knew they could afford to cover for themselves. Mike paid for Jane and Cindy, $400; bucks or more per meal for 7 people; My husband refused to join us for meals, that,s just how we are, we like to pay our own way. It can be stressful because we seem like party poopers at times.

Mike fell in love with his wife till the day he died; He loved the fact she was no nonsense. Worked longer at being a airline mechanic then he did, raised her 3 boys by herself by fixing planes. He first saw her climbing on the wing of a airline with a rivet gun  or something in her hands, love at first sight.

She is not a waster either.

Hmm, tomorrow it will be exactly 3 years since he checked out.

Seems like it happened last week not 3 years ago.

Hubby going to get his driving medical done today; I already know he will pass;

Yesterday some dumb bike rider, grey haired, maybe mid 50s was in the bike lane next to our car. I told my husband that they guy looked oddball;like he could not make up his mind where to ride. We were behind him and had to slow way down as the road made a few turns and we did not trust the guys biking skills.

Guy went to the right as we did onto another road, then out of nowhere on a red light to cross, he swings his bike from our right to right in front of us; Brakes squeal, smoke from tires but we avoided hitting the idiot; On both sides of the crosswalk there were  pedestrians waiting on the red and they could of been witnesses to him just going out of nowhere in front  of us. Counting on eye witnesses is not for sure though. Glad either his guardian angles, ours or all of them worked overtime and nothing happened. He just waved at us and rode off onto another sidewalk.

I would lose my mind if I drove all day long in the city like those taxi and bus drivers do; How many times per day to the deal will helmet less nut cases pulling out in front of them?

Interesting graph.

IDK, what the job market is doing in the US but it seems like many people are being laid off.

Lots of different fields too.

White collar and blue collar ones.

The Golden Gate casino in Vegas let their last live dealers go. 119 AI type machines instead.

The Golden Gate was a break in house, a place for new dealers to get experience, been a downtown classic since the start of Vegas.

I remember we used to go there once in awhile for their huge 99 cent shrimp cocktails with crackers and a 99 cent drink. $4. for a night out on the town!

It was a real Vegas classic.

In the mean time I heard Trump screaming, You,re Fired!!!

Guess who was fired from Walmart before they even clocked in?!

You guessed it, haflie!!

I would laugh if it was not so stupid.

She never got her photo ID which was stolen well over a month ago.

She of course is gaslighting the older sister, saying it is all her fault!

They had a huge verbal fight over it yesterday, the elder almost called the cops;

Seems like a recent family thing, to have a DV charge over our heads!

At this point the eldest is losing her mind,  Halfie,s dog is pooping inside all over and peeing inside, halfie sits all day long on her phone on social media, never cleans up and just takes and takes;

I would of dragged her out by her hair by now, I too would have a DV charge!

I joked she would not make it till noon her first day but she outdid herself, never even got to clock in.

My husband passed his medical driving exam yesterday, I am very glad of it. We like our old family doctor, she gets to the point and does not waste our time.

Well lets see how the drama unfolds in Minn;

I see these jobs numbers and I think meh.  What jobs?  Professional? Picking fruit?  CEOs?  What kind of jobs?

AI in casinos is an ideal application for the technology.  I am not surprised it's gone automated.  Of course, the machines are programmed to win, even if it's a percentage.  So the take might be 15%.  Put in $100 and return $85 to the punter.  And rarely pay out say, 5% every few days.  That's the way it seems to work. I think it might be even legally enforced (at least in the UK).  Plus bet limits.  No punt worth more than say $1.  Facial recognise the person and cut them off if they play continuously for more than 1h and not allow them to return for 24h.  Easy to do.

We tried that free'ish food in LV and I was really disappointed.  It was terrible quality. I forget where it was - MGM or something like it.  Plastic tumblers, cafeteria style trays.  I wanted to try it but I thought,  are we really that desperate?

Haha, so she stayed true to form.  Excellent to know she's consistent.  I wonder when your sis will be showing halfie the door?   Mrs F has a halfie and he's really come good after a really difficult early period that caused his Mum and Dad problems.  He's now doing very well, got married and has calmed down.  Even has an own business, vehicles etc which is going OK and he's always busy. Thank god for that.

I'm on the 2 year DL checks I think but I might go to 1 year now I'm 65, I've forgotten.  I'd have to look at the rules and my DL.  The medical exams are cursory anyway. I wasn't even checked properly.  Took my blood pressure but didn't check my sight if I remember correctly. Mrs F has to come with me anyway and I tell Mrs F the letters and Mrs F translates them.  I don't know if she corrects me.    Meanwhile, I wear glasses for driving but not reading.  I think my eyesight is good enough.   Oh and there's the low "don't care much" statutory fee plus a bit of extra "to speed it up".   Old habits die hard despite extra incentives not being allowed.

Marilyn Tassy

I need glasses to read but not for driving since my cataract surgery.

In 2026 my NV license needs to be renewed.

Last time the young lady doing my eye exam at the DMV, Dept. Of motor Vehicles said I need glasses but just let me through.Cool gal, old school like me, trusting that the person will do the right thing without Big brother down their throat.She just told me to get glasses and signed me off.

The US USED to be that way with just about everything. Do what is right and do your best and no one will bother you.

If only we had a time machine to 1970!

Yes, my soul hurts for my elder sister, I know the halfies game. Disappointed and angry through that she could abuse the elder who is trying to be a good sister.The eldest was married about one year to the day that the youngest was born.

Mom was pregnant  with Lon and holding one year old Cindy in her arm at the wedding photos;just saying Jane did not grow  up with Cindy and in all reality does not know her or owe her a thing.

My step dad was a stand up sort of guy, his children sadly are far from what he would of wanted.

Life is hard, if he had only lived a bit longer they would of been different people.I know he would of  made sure they could fend for themselves as he did.

Everyone tends to blame our mother, except for me; What did they expect from a 1950,s housewife from a broken family who had a horrible divorce from her first husband and married a younger man and had only a 8 th grade education.

It seems like many people want to brush off their own weakness to their parents.No, it is up to everyone on their own to be their best, never blame anyone else.That would be giving too much power to someone else.

Nice day, ran some walking errands around the city.

Vegas used to be semi fun.Everyone could go there with

$500. and have a great time. now that would be gone in a few hours, not a long weekend.

I won an $80.dinner for two at a nice Italian place once and $80. on the slots, took it out to buy some fancy eye cream before I lost it.

In a weird mood today, sad it has been 3 years since my bro passed and sort of sad for Jane with cra, cra; Other wise all is great. Hard to be happy though when loved ones are not doing great. Hate be an  sensitive person.

That's the sort of thing I've started saying.  Things were simpler back then.  But I wonder if they really were.  Stress is going up all the time, AI interferes with the most basic things.  I had cause to contact a retailer after the locker/collection box refused to open.  The box/system said I'd already collected my stuff.  Nope, it didn't like my attempts to put in a code.    I had to go through AI nonsense before I could talk to a human who solved it in about 30s.

I think AI is a bubble like tulip bulbs, Y2K (the failing IT systems when year 2000 was reached), Ninja Turtles and My Little Pony.   It simply doesn't work properly.  It's been rolled out too early.  I've just read the UK is building lots of mini nuclear power stations to power AI data centres.  I get we need power but really?  Just some lazy people cannot work out how to do things themselves or worse, don't know how to look stuff up.    And AI robots aren't carpenters, plumbers or motor mechanics.  Imagine an AI generation trapped on a desert island with no Internet and ChatGPT to guide them.   They'd die pretty quickly!

People had to do whatever they could to get on, protect their interests and family.  Sometimes I wonder why my parents came back to the UK from their long term Pacific colonial assignments when they could have gone back to Australia.  In retrospect,  and in my view, they should have gone back to Australia.  Lucky country.  Lot luckier than the UK.   I guess, at the time, it all seemed logical and the right idea.

We of course, never lived in LV.   I thought it was a mad yet special place.  Like a weird extreme kind of theme park.  I wondered how anyone lived a normal life there.  Perhaps it was normal in the burbs.  Mrs F and I were there as tourists so perhaps saw a sugarcoated version down on the strip.  We did all the tourist things - lost money on a slot machine and couldn't see the point - seemed like a waste of money.  Went to the Grand Canyon in a little plane.  So cold there! Went to the MGM theme park on top of the casino and got wet on the log flume.  Went to Wet n' Wild.  All the things people expect.   We left there and went to San Francisco and San Diego.  I don't remember the order we went around but we went to Mono Lake (it was a Clint Eastwood film location) and also Yosemite and hiked some trails. I suspect we went to San Diego (didn't like that place) and then worked our way up the coast back to SF via Monterey and LA.

My bro will have been gone 10 years soon.  Poor guy didn't deserve it.   But does anyone? Yes, come to think of it, some people do deserve it.

BTW, I can imagine a kind of Rosie the Riveter romance over airplane wings with your bro.

AI scares me.

My husband wants AI to run all gov. and remove all gov. workers.

Less corruption but who knows for sure?

I hardly slept last night.Tossing around thinking of how stupid halfie is.

bugs me, I know no one is perfect but come on!

She needs all her ID papers again, I took less then 5 mins and found her marriage certificate online in Vegas where she married. Just $20 and 3 weeks of waiting around unless she could use an instant PDF copy.

For a second I was going to just order it for her but na, my husband probably would not like me using our cards online, not very safe these days.

In that way AI has made life easier, When I needed a document for the HU immigration dept; They did not except credit cards so I had a huge run around getting my sister in Minn; to get a money order , mail it, wait for the paper to arrive then mail it to me; I was nearly deported in all that wait time.

Much easier now, only 6 weeks for international papers not the months I waited .

I am now under the impression that halfie may of actually worked for a day or two. The eldest mentioned how nice it was when she was at work.

How stupid to lose your ID and not replace it straight away.

My husband told me to forget it all, said go fix things if you can; Guess he is right once again, not much I can do. As they say, you can not fix stupid!

Grand Canyon by air, no thanks;

Years ago my eldest sister visited Vegas and talked me into one of those small aircraft fly overs to the canyon.She loved it, had so much energy the pilot invited her to shotgun in the front.

Meanwhile I sat white

knuckled with my eyes closed for an hour!

Does any listen these days??

Yesterday we went all across town to the bank; They only have a cashier at one location, the furthest from us of course!

Waited, husband was with the female teller for a good 20 mins trying to get a new code. She said it was fine, came home and nada, she did not do anything!!

OK, next week perhaps another teller knows their job and can actually do it right?

My half bro does not listen either; My cousin had a feeling and checked it out online;

Yes, he has been rearrested! What a week!

I told him with every message to stay clear of his crazy wife, Not to answer her calls or see her;

Not sure what went down but it is not good;

I found his name as an inmate, was busted on the 18th in the afternoon;

Last time he had no commissary, a in jail account to buy better food, toothbrushes soap etc;

They take away your phone, money etc; and without a in house account you are without any resources to buy anything.

I am looking into opening an account for him but first need to find out what his stint will be this time.

My husband is not too thrilled with it at all.

They only way he can call is to call collect, if he remembers anyone,s phone number.

He is really  addicted to that selfish women.

All I can hope for is her heart condition gets worst, yes, we all have  a bit of evil in us; I did not cause her heart problems but will not shed a tear if it goes out on her, has if she even has a heart!

We did it in a propellor plane.  Two engines - pilot and co-pilot.  We had headphones on a commentary was playing.  It was fine but no-one told us it was so high at the Grand Canyon.  We were absolutely freezing.  We had sandals and  T-shirts on!

I think that will make things much worse.   I am not scared of AI, I don't think it works very well.  It will get better.   I had cause to argue with Amazon's AI. It took ages to get past the AI to a human.  My daughter told me, she just types "human" into the AI to try and get past the AI BS.  She's young and technical and cannot stand it either.  If the govt was run by AI, it'd do stupid stuff.  We've all seen the Terminator and Matrix movies.  It could happen! 😁

In that way AI has made life easier, When I needed a document for the HU immigration dept; They did not accept credit cards so I had a huge run around getting my sister in Minn; to get a money order , mail it, wait for the paper to arrive then mail it to me; I was nearly deported in all that wait time.
Much easier now, only 6 weeks for international papers not the months I waited .

Maybe Halfie has some mental health problem which is unaddressed.  I know I get bad tempered due to my diabetes.  There's a strong relationship between mood and sugar levels.  Maybe she's got mental health issues that need solving.  Probably impossible to get health care for odd behaviour.  It's her right to be chaotic and disorganised.  That's free speech!  A highly topical subject and BS'd by so many.

am now under the impression that halfie may of actually worked for a day or two. The eldest mentioned how nice it was when she was at work.
How stupid to lose your ID and not replace it straight away.
My husband told me to forget it all, said go fix things if you can; Guess he is right once again, not much I can do. As they say, you can not fix stupid! - @Marilyn Tassy

I wonder if they paid her for a day or two?   Hubby's right.  Nothing one can do about it.  And not your Sis's problem to babysit the Halfie.

It's a problem with ID documents.  It's like here, with DL and its truck endorsement,  each year I'll get a medical and a new card.   The more cards, the more paperwork, the more of a burden of clutter it is to just exist.  I'm already carrying too many cards and documents around.  I find it a grind and interference.   We're supposed to carry our passports but that's a nuisance.  Means carrying a bag with all this stuff in.

In my own country, we don't have ID cards.  And you don't have to carry anything to prove who you are anyway.  HMG (His Majesty's Government) has been talking up ID cards again over there.  Many people are pathologically opposed to it (including me!).

We're cleaning graves today.   Mrs F has got some chemical cleaner and we'll go to the cemetery and give them a bit of a scrub with some acid which removes staining from headstones.   I'm going along because it's such a nice day.  I like this time of year.  Warm but a kind of cooler edge to it.    Won't be long before all the leaves are falling off.  I notice thinner foliage in the forest now.   What I'm not looking forward to is ice and snow.  And that long drag from mid-November to mid-February.   If only we could hibernate!

Was mild when we left this morning but hot by 11 am.

Went to the farmers market.

Have not gone for a few weeks.

Yes, halfie can say what she wants but the problem is she has lived free for over a year only gets food stamps which she spends on herself. Moves around the eldest things, bosses her around, demands rides , does not clean up after herself of her messy dog then has the nerve to scream at her sister if things do not go her way. Who needs a person like that around?

More relaxed today but had such a pounding headache last night. Hearing my bro was locked up again did me in.

My cousin dug deeper, he has a court date on Monday then we will see what is going on. It seems to be an issue from 2023, first time his witchy wife did him in.

I have no idea why they dragged him in.

Revenge on her part most likely. I know everyone in the family has told him for years to get away from her.

Me living so far off, hardly knew they had issues.

I find it shocking he put up with her for so long .

He is a Scorpio, guess they tend to get overly emotional and can not let go?

Me being a Sagittarius just can not relate to anyone playing games with my life. I would run and never look back if they tried.

I am hoping they release him on Monday but they probably want bail money. No idea how to help him from over here.

I can not even access the sheriffs web site from here to get details. Keeps coming up as a blocked site.

Need my cousin to let me know what is going on.

IDK, blows my mind how mean is wife is, I doubt he did anything so horrible to be treated like this after his medical issues and all.

You're not wrong.  It's taking the mickey and advantage.  Some people are just users.  I don't know Halfie but it sounds like she could bit of a grifter.   Maybe it has to come to a head.

It was very warm scrubbing up a gravestone in Biatorbagy.   I think we made a good job of it.  We scrubbed it with stone cleaner,  used loads of water, put some new plants in and we had a special pen to fill in the worn away letters.  Looks tidy now.  I doubt after Mrs F or my BIL have gone, anyone will go and tidy it up.   It's only "rented" for another 10 years.  That grave is for the black sheep of the family.  Apparently he died of a STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) age just 30.  He was ostracised by family back then and was ignored.  But in modern thinking, he was hard done by and unfairly treated.

If you PM me with the address of the web site, I will see if it's accessible.  There are a number of web browsers which can fool the geolocation.  All you have to do is install the web browser and press a couple of buttons and web sites blocking by geography will work as expected.  I do it all the time to get around that silliness!

Haha, yes.  That's Austria! Land of the twitching curtains and busybodies.  Nothing else to do.

Anyways,  horse poo is less likely to be considered bad.   It could go on the roses.

In any case, I was watching carriage processions a few times and they usually have "Bum Bags" on them to catch any droppings.   Everyone is happy, including this smiling donkey.  Google "horse diapers".  You can sell anything in the USA.

Had someone in Wales doing the same thing, moaning. It's the bloody countryside. It's actually safer than dog poo. It actually washes away in the rain. But its in the road, its not in the pavement where people stand in dog poo.
