Absolutely Anything Else
@fluffy2560Had someone in Wales doing the same thing, moaning. It's the bloody countryside. It's actually safer than dog poo. It actually washes away in the rain. But its in the road, its not in the pavement where people stand in dog poo. - @SimCityAT
Yes, it's just life in the country. Dog poo goes in the bin here.
If we want horse poo here, we have to buy it I think at the local stables. We might even have to bring our own bags. It's really good for the garden. Just really vegetable matter.  We do see horse poo in the forest as some of the trails are used by people pony trekking. No-one collects it. And if it rains, it's gone.
Apparently if you want to keep animals out of garden, like cats. Tiger, bear and other similar poo is supposed to work wonders.  They are all frightened of what might be lurking around. But where to get this stuff from? The zoo?Â
p.s.
There's an animal story floating around here that a family of Meerkats have escaped from someone's house and they are not able to catch them.Â
I reckon we could be seeing the start of a new invasive species living in Hungary. What with global warming, they could survive if the eagles/hawks don't get them first.
It reminds me of the now extensive wallaby colonies in the UK - mainly Isle of Man, Scotland and South East. No natural predators and quite a few thousand hopping around.
Doom loop:
I was discussing this job in Africa last week and the plan was to fly via Brussels.Â
And of course the airport there is in chaos because of the cyber attack.
It's like the entire thing has got a death wish.

 If you are looking for extra poo, just bring a scooper to the sidewalks of Budapest!

Wrong kind of poo.

One doesn't want dog mess in the compost. That'd be dangerous.Â
But horse poo is fine but it's better dug into the ground to rot down. We dig our compost into the ground on a regular basis.  If I had the energy I'd create some "hot beds"
When we take our dog walkies in the forest, she usually obliges there. We cover it up with leaves and dirt. We don't remove it. The bugs have to eat and they are very keen.  I expect it'd be completely rotted down in a week or two. Â

I know, I was just trying, key word, trying to be funny. It can be such a mess in the city on certain streets. They do wash up the streets and sidewalks at least once a week where we live. Sadly it does not stay clean for long.

 I thought chicken poo was the ,gold standard of fertilizer.
Horse poo must be alright too.
What a topic!
Gross thing I heard, hope it is just a rumor, is some Chinese garlic used human waster to fertilize the ground.
Yikes!!
I do not go to the dark web but this tale is dark.
Saw it last night, The Erfurt Latrine Disaster.
60 nobles drown in poo when the floor of a church broke, what a way to go!

Chicken poo is a great fertiliser. I must say, when we had chickens here, they were quite good fun to have around. Shame they met a horrible end due to negligence of our neighbours not locking them in their house at night. That was the second set of chickens. My MIL didn't lock the first set in at night and they were also murdered.Â
But I always wondered about the chickens eating insects etc. I tended to think of them as insect to egg convertors. That doesn't sound that nice. But the eggs were good.
I've been to Erfurt and I can confirm that you wouldn't want to hang around - poo or otherwise. I think I stayed in a "pyramid" shaped hotel there. The rooms were oddly shaped with windows that were far too big. It was overlooking a major highway. All the drivers could see you when the lights were on and the blinds open.Â
Correction! The hotel was in Fuerth. I was "close", 222km apart.

Here in the countryside, horses are a common site; our 2 daughters both worked at the local stables and would often ride the horses around the village to exercise them. I'd go out with my wheelbarrow and collect the mess they left behind and turn it over in our flower beds.

Dang,the Luxor in Vegas has nothing to worry about, this looks so weird.

That's dedication.Â
I'd like some horse poo for the garden but we'd have to wait until winter and the beds are cleared.Â
Then we could dig it in for it to rot down over the winter, ready for spring planting.
I'll have to try and get to know some local horses. Sidle up to them, nudge-nudge, wink-wink, see if I can score an "on the spot" deal. Â
Upside: Multiple dollops for a carrot or an apple. Cheap!Â
Downside: I don't fancy bringing the bags back in the car.Â
In Hilo, Hawaii, we leased a nice 3 bedroom 2 bath kit house on 40 acres of land.The last Hawaiian pineapple fields were near us.The landlord and his wife were super nice locals who watched out for us.
The down side was, we had to take our trash to the dumb.
Thankfully we had a funky old van to take trash the dump site .
At least once a week we took or trash bags there.
My friend in Hilo and her husband made a side gig of picking up trash and taking it to the dump.

40 acres is a lot of land to look after. Wish we had that distance from our neighbours. I suppose you had help with the land or the landlord did his thing with the pineapples. Did you ever get sick of pineapples? Pineapple for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I could probably go for that - for a week. I was on an island in the Indian ocean and it was tuna everyday. It gets old. Fast.
Strangely I was thinking of trash today (as one does) and I was just wondering how small countries or islands deal with it. I've been on a few Pacific islands and mainly it gets pushed into the sea. It's devastating really for the environment.
BTW, I cannot believe how cold it's getting now. And I received an advertising e-mail asking me if I wanted to buy firewood. That's really showing which way it's going. And no, I've got enough firewood for several years. In fact I cannot wait to burn the damn stuff.
In Hilo the house we leased and the entire area had no trash service! Had to load our trash once a week in the old van and take it to the dump ourselves.
My friend and her husband started up their own small trash pick up and dumping service in Hilo.
Before he passed anyways, she no longer does that.
We had zero yard work to do. The landlord came every week like clockwork and mowed the grass.
The 40 some acres were all around us to one side of his land; It was actually part of C&H sugar company;
I remember the last harvest they ever did before stopping with harvests there; They had lights set up all night long, slashed the cane and burnt the left over stalks, Smelled both strong but pleasant too.
The local landlord was a nice guy, we only had to pick up after our dog, he did everything else.
Had beautiful kept grass all around the house, it was up on a hill and you could see the ocean sunrise and sunset from one side of the house;
It was built by him; He was wealthy and did a nice job on a kit house, for his wife;
The thing is she enjoyed living down the mountain in their little village setting where all her friends were; So they leased out the big house as more of an investment property.
He had a few cows and a bull fenced up near us, not close enough to be a bother but we could feed them grass etc; if we wanted to.
Once I came home to find my husband trying to round up the bull with our van; He got out somehow and hubby tried to get him back in the pen by himself.
I just got in the car, drove to the landlord and told him we needed help; He calmly took a bit of sugar cane stalk and walked the bull back into the pen.
City boy vs country boy!!
My husband had no clue what to do with a large bull on the loose.
It was lovely up there, no one really around, a few homes within a 5 min walk but no one so close by to be of any bother.
Bad thing was no cable tv , they wanted at least 40 homes within IDK, a 5 mile radius to put in the cable lines;
This was back in 1997, I am sure by now they have cable, internet up there.
It was so peaceful, used to sit on the grass with my dog and just look out over the ocean. Million dollar view.
Would of renewed the lease but I started to have Island fever and missed the mainland. Now I would give allot to be there again!

Sounds like you've got city fever now. I get it. I just want to get away from people. A million dollar view would be nice.  Living on hills is good but one has to go up and down and that soon gets old. And one needs something, it's a drive down and a drive up. Â
These days, cable TV wouldn't be a problem, just use Starlink (Musk...grrr) and get your viewing over the Internet.  I think it's expensive though, $80 a month a least. That's about 3 x what we pay. But one can use it anywhere. I did think about it here but we can get a Telekom cable now. For years we couldn't.  We dropped the cable provider. Strangely enough we found the telekom cover from the pole lying in the road. Mrs F is going to get on to them.
I guess your hubby now is an expert on moving bulls around. But isn't that the same with all animals? They all are motivated by food. Not sure about cats.
What happened on the sugar fields etc? Just stopped it? Or planted something else?
We're still wondering what to do with the MIL's house. Mrs F says she through 20% of the books. So it looks like there's well over a 1000 left.  I'm almost of the view to get a skip (kontener) and dump the lot of them along with all the crappy furniture.  It's a shame as it seemed to be valuable to the MIL but meaningless to anyone else.
But what to do with the building?  I suggested we get an architect to create a modernisation plan but I'm not seeing much enthusiasm. I tend to lean to converting it to 2 flats or 3 townhouses. Â
The MIL also had land which now looks like it will be sold as a "fishing camp". It's a nice place down in the countryside right on a river. But a bit useless for anyone but an enthusiast - no water, no sewage but it does have electricity.  Just shed like buildings full of clutter no-one wants. They'll need to be razed.
Not so much city fever as sick of people fever!
No, not true but I seem to be a magnet for oddballs.
Like yesterday, I was on good behavior, did not talk to anyone at city hall.
Hubby had to submit his medical paper to have a new license made up.
Wrong day, we should of made an appointment, just slipped our minds to do that.
At least a 3 hour wait and he seemed to be the next number to be called so he did not want to walk out; Any minute now, they will call me up. No, did not happen that fast.
No decent chairs to sit on that long so I waited at the enterance where they have a few real chairs set up in the hallway.
After awhile a drunk homeless looking man came in pushing a women in a wheelchair who had both her legs gone.
I was not starring at them but right in front of my feet she got stuck on the enterance rug with her wheels.Hard to not look up with all that going on in my face. The guy looked right at me with red bugged out eyes, I gave a weak half smile not to have any conversation with either of them;
He came back out alone and sat 2 chairs over from me; Started chatting with me; I just put on my dealers face, just looked straight ahead. He kept going none stop. I was ready to walk into the main building where my husband was sitting but did not want to lose my semi comfy car where it had been peaceful. I briefly told the man I did not understand. Lucky me, found the only drunk homeless person who spoke English!
I had to nicely tell him I do not speak much English and kept looking ahead.
Like I need a chat with a bug eyed drunk. I love chatting with people but not all people.
My husband cannot believe it when I tell him I was minding my own business, people ,odd ones just love me for some reason.
Not saying everyone is odd but I am a what my husband calls, a weirdo magnet. I have empathy and I guess a kind face?? IDK, I think if I do not smile I look rather moody.
$80; a month for cable would of been OK in Hilo. Not joking, in a year I spent over $1,200 plus bucks renting videos from Block Buster video. 2 or 3 movies per day; The local tv was so boring. I like Sumo and Hula but if that is the only thing on then we have a problem.
All those books might be given to a library? You can open your own with that much stock!
My cousin informed me my bro was moved to another Jail; 796 beds. The big house!!!
They moved his court date up by a month so that should be better.
I am very upset over it all.
Nothing we can really do, he and his wife did enough.
A little weekend house near water sounds great but yes, need indoor plumbing .
Turning the old homestead into a 3 apt.complex would be a good earner in the future.
We kept telling our son to come here and we would buy him a starter place; he has waited so long that even those are too much right now.
The sugar cane was the last grown in Hawaii at least for commercial use.
The old tv add used to have a sing song for C&H sugar, Went C&H, C&H pure cane sugar from Hawaii.They no longer sing that tune.
Not sure where they get their sugar these days. Many Islanders moved to Hawaii from Asia to work the cane fields back in the day;
Here and there they still have some nice old plantation estates. The Sweds and Morman,s ran the show mostly in the old days. Missionaires who got rich off the backs of cane and pineapple field workers.
On Maui back in the 70s, my next door neighbor worked as a teenager for a summer at Dole pineapple; She gave me a tip, never buy crushed pineapple in a can. It may or may not contain fingers!

Blockbuster, now that's a blast from the past. Strange how that failed but Netflix did really well. I remember when Netflix used to post you DVDs. It worked for a bit but that leap to streaming really changed it all.
I've met people who look like down and outs but they really are just retired professors having a hard time.  I was even given rides by moonlighting engineers driving taxis.
Mrs F also attracts people. They come and confess their sins and ideas to her. For some reason she seems sympathetic and they confide in her. She should have a PhD in patience and confidentiality.
Do people pay extra for pineapples with fingers? I am sure worse things have been found in tins!
That other jail sounds really big. I suppose it's all gangs in there. As an older guy and with one leg, your bro is no threat to anyone. I hope they leave him alone. Why is he even in there? Surely he should be out on bail? What the hell has he done to warrant being locked up?
I honestly have no clue what he did; His son was there and told the police he did nothing but his cutie pie school teacher wife and her lawyer did something for sure;
Not saying he is perfect but it takes two to tango.
I did some reading up on how disabled are treated in jail.
For the most part, it he does not argue with anyone, they usually leave them alone.Sometimes they even will push their wheelchairs etc.
The good thing is the jail only holds inmates up to 2 years max; So I doubt anyone will want to do max time somewhere else for hurting another handicapped inmate.
Soft criminals in there? As if there is such a thing; Hopefully no mental inmates will challenge him.
My cousin called the jail, got the mailing address so he can receive mail. She offered to print out e mails from me and add them to her mail or even mail on their own. She is sweet.
Even if we visited him, where he is only allowed up to 15 mins visits behind glass or worst, more modern way is with a computer screen image; Why go all the way there to see him on a video screen; Can do that through a service with Skype, costly though; I am learning the insides and out of jail!
Great to learn new things but I could do without this knowledge!
I am worried about where his van is, if they impounded it, they charge daily rates for storage, It all comes down to money and how they can make it off someone,s hard time.
My Vegas friend had tests done, look like some brain injury with MS.Now that is out of the blue! We thought she had MS decades ago and now this?
Her doc is waiting for the insurance to give the OK then he is sending her to a nursing home! Was going to go to rehab but he thinks she will get more therapy in a nursing home;
$300. a day with her insurance out of pocket!! Insane how they charge in the US. Now she is afraid their savings will be gone. She wishes her heart had killed her instead;
Sad to get that down and depressed.
It is criminal how the medical system works in the US; The gov will pay if you have nothing but if you have a couple bucks saved away, they want it.
They only allow a senior couple $3,500 in savings or they go after it.Hardly enough for a month of living in the US. They want everyone poor and depending on them.
Told my husband if we ever visit the US even for a day, we need some serious travel insurance; Never know when you may take a slip and fall and have the gov; rob you blind.
She will be fine, she is a fighter and very stubborn.
I mentioned it before.my husbands old boss in Ca; well he did sub contractor work in the mans shop was super wealthy. He was an engineer who lived in Asia for years running a machine business.
He was Hungarian, my husband almost always worked for Hungarians, sometimes that was good and other timee IDK. They knew he knew his stuff and left him to it, he liked that; No one breathing down his back. Well that guy had wild curly hair like Albert Einstein, drove a beat up looking old Volvo from the 1960s and in general looked somewhat homeless. Hubby went to his home once and said it was a mansion, thick Persian carpets so thick you almost turned your ankle walking on them; He later just out right bought a huge factory for himself. My husband was his top guy and the boss used to go out of his way to help us when we were young; He paid for a moving truck and made some of his lower ranked workers move our things; Just so my husband would not take the day off; He was more valuable then 6 workers and a truck for the day. He always bought my husband expensive booze on holidays where the others got beer. He even paid a months vacation pay when we came to Hungary in 1978. As a sub contractor he did not have to pay for our vacation.
He got hurt we think when my husband left him to try his own machine shop.
Not many bosses out there like that guy was, strange but super fair.

- @Marilyn Tassy
I am very curious (aka nosey possibly) about what your bro has done to be banged up in the clink. Seems outrageous for simple case of domestic issues. The restraining order must be enough. Obviously if there was a risk of trouble, then presumably she thinks she's in danger and has spun that to the authorities. It sounds like he doesn't have the resources or health to fight back.  I'd take it as the end with the wife now if she can be that vindictive. He's on his own and he needs to be as far away from her as possible.  Perhaps this is the opportunity to build a life elsewhere.
BTW, insurance gets difficult on foreign travel when you get much older. I got a letter from one of my insurers saying I was no longer insured as I reached 65. I was a bit surprised as I'd had that policy for perhaps 25 years. How time has flown.
UK has limits on savings before the government steps in. I think it's £23K which is probably $25K'ish. People give stuff away to bring down their wealth but one has to do it at least 7 years before any claim on the state. So people gift their property and cash to their relatives.  If one does it less than 7 years, they consider it to be an attempt to circumvent inheritance taxes and social security measures. One of my friends already has started giving away his assets to his kids and he's 63.Â
Work yourself half to death then have to give it all away before you kick it!
In the US as far as I now they just go back 3 months but your assets are much less, just a savings of $3,500 for seniors and less for younger people. I am not sure but think a house is safe from their greedy fingers. You car has to be less then a certain amount in value; Forgot how much, no Rolls but as cars cost so much now, even used ones, the price range must be higher since last time I checked.
I looked into travel insurance for just a short visit, wasn,t insane but not cheap either.
Hopefully one never needs to use it.
As a US expat, we have part A coverage for free but it only covers the hospital. No doctors fees, tests, meds,office visits, so that is not great; Part B they take straight out of your monthly income unless you did what we do; Told them to forget it since it does not work over here, so long story short, they have to know you are outside the US as a resident or you will be charged even if you can not use it; It costs allot since they also add on IDK 10 to 20 percent depending on what doctors you see; Just under $400; per month for 2 people plus the extra for actually using it.
Such a scam. I looked into US prices for expensive tests I had done here, cost 10 times more in the US.
Speaking of doctors my Vegas friend does have MS. 44 years ago they told her it was then another doctors told her no, she did not have it; All these yeas and all the doctors visits and it took her having a heart attack to find out what is really going on with her health.
Dumb doctors, they do not care at all, as long as they get their money.
I honestly am not sure what happened with my bro; He seems to have broken his probation by breaking that restraining order but IDK;
Still waiting myself to find out.
His wife was setting him up, she knows how addicted he is to her and she kept calling him, coming to his motel without an invite and telling him she had some nice food for him and she was worried about him etc;
May she burn!!
I told him in Ca; any property and assets they have are shared 50-50 in a divorce UNLESS the court sees special circumstances like a DV charge. She is just greedy and wants it all for herself.
Crazy guy though, second wife to put him through the ringer; You would think he learned the first time around.

Having being through a very nasty divorce, if it came to it, I would not give up anything. I'd want my half completely. I would not even argue about a desire from the other side to divorce. OK, fine, we'll split it down the middle and you sort yourself out. But our kids are old enough to do their own things now so they can also sort themselves out too. I would definitely leave the country.
I'd have to do my own thing. Quite possibly I'd go and live in African English speaking country - just to potentially get a quiet life. There are plenty of crotchety white old folks floating around here using up their savings on their way to the grave. Life and death in many African countries is cheap and medical services for complex issues non-existent. You could easily die of neglect or hospital incompetence. There's no social security. People die of a broken leg.
Trump is trying to reduce the cost of medicines which is laudable but he's doing it the wrong way saying that the US is subsidising foreign drugs for Europe and elsewhere. He needs to introduce universal healthcare and nationalise the entire US health system.  But of course, that scheme was half-invented for US audiences by Obama so automatically the Orange One dismisses it. No Nobel prize for Donny, he's just lining his own pockets. He's not interesting in anything that doesn't do something for himself.
Meanwhile I hearing about Trump's plan for Gaza. I am truly horrified. It's a massive land grab by Trump himself and his posse. And the discredited Tony Blair, I mean WTF? That guy has never been accepted by the majority out there in the Middle East. That's the guy who declared war on Iraq on false information and to suck up to George Dubya Bush.  I almost threw up listening to Trump's press conference. I bet in the next months, Israeli settlements will appear in Gaza, protected by the IDF. They are already doing the same in the West Bank, trying to squeeze out the Palestinians from their land. I only hope Netanyahu will be watching from a jail cell (wherever that might be, the ICC or Israel).
Seems like there is turmoil everywhere.
Mass shooting just about every week in the US. Middle east troubles, NATO troubles.
It is almost like they, the powers that be, want a war.
Most people no matter where they live just want to live their lives in peace and not bother anyone.
Those power hungry fools just want their own glory and are all on a power trip.
Stupid, they will die one day too.
I feel they want to break the world and redo it in their own image.

Yes, I don't know why Trump wants to screw people over. It's not like he can take it with him to the other side. I suppose he wants to leave a legacy to his kids who are the same kind of lizards. But that will be a history which people will write up critically one way or the other.  Public opinion is definitely not in Trump's favour. At least according to polls I've read. It's the same for Netanyahu. What are people going to write about him?
Perhaps the both of them and Putin like the chase and enjoy the win. I can get that but why annoy people on the way to wherever they are going. All of them are about the same age. So perhaps they'll all be seeing Beelzebub together.
I just saw Lviv near Poland was hit by Putin. In case people, don't know, that's only about 230km from the HU border and much closer to the border with Poland.  Presumably that other member of that special team, OV, will have something to say. How's going to explain his stance as the missiles get closer. Will the Hungarian parts of Ukraine get hit.  I reckon it will be. Eventually. Then what's his excuse?
We really are living in a fooked up world right, and it is scary.
It is safe to say Trump is the 21st-century Hitler. The way he is rounding up immigrants is just like what he was doing with the jews, and now what he is doing by sending the army and national guard into cities. Thank gawd I dont live in America.

Yes, thank god I don't live in Hungary, the model version referenced by Trump.
Oh wait a minute, I do.Â
Trump's playbook is straight out of Hungary's MO.
What I find odd is that the Hungarian version on how to do this stuff was designed by a Jewish guy from New York - allegedly.  I'd have to find his name. I find it an anathema that is how it was designed. Why would anyone formulate something like that, especially given the history of that religious group? Â
One can only describe the US situation as a coup. And we know which direction those things go. The coup in Hungary is more slow moving but also more complete. It's now run as an open kleptocracy and organised crime group.
Mrs F is distraught about the way Hungary is going. And she's very sure that if Orban is back in at the next general election, we should leave the country.  But where to? It'd be like being refugees.  I've said that before. I think about how people can time their departure before they find themselves unable to leave.
I am sure people who voted for Trump are having serious second doubts now.
So many people losing jobs, prices going up and no where to turn for many.
Not everyone has support to back them up like family or a large bank account to ride it out.
My niece pays $4,200 per month to lease a 2 or 3 bedroom apt;!
She lives in a very nice area N. of SF but says she has to for now; It is all about keeping her daughter in a safe good area until she is fully grown.
My niece is lucky her job pays really well but not that well overall.
Not many widowed mothers doing it alone , most families have 2 big incomes.
We complain sometimes about bills in Hungary, we have forgotten the US prices.
She says she can not wait to move to a cheaper place after her girl is set.
Not sure people should sacrifice themselves so much for their children but many do.
Trump is punishing 12 US states that did not vote for him. Cutting off Federal funding for projects. So cra cra, everyone pays their Federal Income Taxes. They have no moral right to not give them funding based on how they voted.
My husband also is worried about the next HU election, wants to sell ot but go where? Not going to pay $4,200 a month to rent, gangsta land.
They are setting up homeless camps on sidewalks in Vegas right now!!
I heard people getting EBT, food stamps have not had their monthly allowance put on their food cards since there was a US gov; shutdown; Always going after the poor and weak.

Oh dear., even your hubby wants to head for the exit. You two and us lot, we do have the power to leave but it would be a major shock to us. I don't know how we'd handle it. And if it was an emergency, ay caramba.
Yes, Trump is the biggest gangster. He is well underwater in the polls. And who is surprised? He's turning ICE and the National Guard into his private army. And SCOTUS is just his rubber stamp. But one of his acolytes - a Fed judge - as ruled against NG deployments to Oregon from California. So someone has some sense on the fascist side. BTW, Antifa is anti-fascist and a terrorist organisation (apparently). So if Antifa is that, it means Trump and Co ARE fascists? Seems like irrefutable logic. We've been here before.
It's horrible for people for the Federal Government to be shutdown but that's the lunacy of the system there. In places like Canada, failing to pass the budget is essentially a vote of no confidence. Governments would fall. That's what needs to happen in the USA but if it's a vote against Trump and he resigned (as if), then the worst person to take over would be Shady "Eyeliner" Vance. He's as bad if not worse!
There's a principle in taxes and especially in the USA. Taxes are to be shared out equitably with the States. It almost sounds like they are trying to break up the country. The compact between the States and the Federal government could be broken. Maybe we would see the Republic of California float off. Or the entire West Coast!Â
Sadly, Trump still has a cult following, and they support him through thick and thin. He can do no wrong. A lot of them are quite stupid, but there are quite inteligent people.

I am not sure there are intelligent people supporting Trump.
Who in their right mind would vote for social division and to screw over their neighbours?
They must be a tiny minority. It's like Farage and his one trick pony campaign on immigration. The immigrants did it!
Where did we see this kind of demonisation of a section of the community before?
Yup, we all know.

IT IS AGAINST THE LAW!!!
31 U.S. Code § 5112: This law, which governs the specifications for coins, states, "No coin issued under this subsection may bear the image of a living former or current President, or of any deceased former President during the 2 years following the date of the death of that President". This provision explicitly applies to the Presidential $1 Coin series.
1866 Act of Congress: The long-standing tradition of depicting only deceased individuals on currency was made into law by an 1866 act.
Circulating Collectable Coin Redesign Act of 2020: This more recent law also restricts coin designs. For the 250th-anniversary coins authorised for 2026, it states, "No head and shoulders portrait or bust of any person, living or dead, and no portrait of a living person may be included".

I suppose he could have them struck as collectibles if they aren't legal tender. And when has legality ever stopped him!
I'm looking forward to the Trump themed toilet paper, trash bags, haemorrhoid cream and butt plugs. He is after all a PITA.
Hmmm...now there's a bunch of ideas.
I really wonder if the Nobel Peace Prize committee will cave over Gaza.
BTW, that coin should show the other side of Trump with half an ear missing.
A Trump coin? Egads!!!! We ain,t see nothin, yet!
King Trump??
Looked at current real estate sales in Hungary, ATM some flats qualify for the 3 percent loan. Prices are high right now;
Even a cellar is going for over 20 mil, for those on a budget who like living like moles.
Not sure how long prices will rise before they crash.
My husband is tripping, seeing a Hawaiian sunset in his future.
Actually why not?
This entire system is about ready to crash, would rather be in the sun then stuck out in the cold.
My mind is elsewhere today. Bro seeing the judge later today in Ca.
Fingers crossed he gets bail and his van is not in impound.
I know if he stays locked up much longer, he may never get out alive.
My cousin wrote him a solo letter before she mailed out some messages from us.
Her mail is being returned; She added some preposted envelopes and paper; Guess they think she is trying to smuggle in drugs in the stamps? IDK but she is really upset.
They really are hard core to the point of being cruel.

Yup, Trump's ego is going even more mad.  That bouffant hair is laughable. I wonder how he manages that. You know, bald people have an excess of testosterone as that's what kills the follicles. Having a full head of hair at his age looks like low testosterone.  So what's he selling, a tough guy image with cojones, but the look doesn't meet the shtick.
Isn't there some way your bro can use his prison bank account to pay postage?  Surely there must be some way. My views of the US prison system is that it's rife with human rights abuse and is a downright dangerous place. But that's formed by Hollywood.
I'd have thought Hawaii was a place to avoid right now if the US will go to war or have conflict with China.  Hawaii is absolutely one of the biggest targets going. That and Guam and Marianas Islands or any of those places like Palau or Micronesia, Marshall Islands. Â
You need to be the other side in the Caribbean, like American Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico etc.  That's still far enough for the missiles but less likely to have a Chinese aircraft carrier passing your window.  But what do I know.
Trump's spoiling for a fight but it's not really clear why he's making such of a meal of it. There have been Chinese slowly evolving expansionist plans going on many years.  Even Biden knew all that. I was over there when the US Army or Marines were renovating runways on islands what had been major historical airfield sites for WW2. I used to see them all the time.
Over in Europe, we're not so worried about that, it's Putin that's on our minds. We'll have Russia on our doorstep. I reckon if Russia invaded Hungary, or more specifically, invited in by OV, Russian officers would be living in our house and we'd be on the street. And our washing machine and domestic appliances will be on the way to Moscow.
I'm avoiding the news at the moment. It's all very boring, the only thing is the shutdown, BS Barbie Bondi, BS Barbie Leavitt and the inevitable ripping through Epstein documents. Come on, where's the beef?!  Let's get the gory details so we can gossip more about it.
There's a well known video of Trump talking to Epstein at a party. I don't know why they haven't had a lip reader on it. To me it looks like Trump and Epstein are observing the women on the dance floor like cattle market.  Looks pretty sickeningly predator like to me!

Prices are increasing everywhere, though. You can still get lovely places in France at a good price. Italy has some as well, but they do need a bit of work to put into them to make them better standards. Austria's prices are increasing as well, and people tend to rent here. Children will inherit their parents houses, but that will come to an end at some point.
I quite often find abandoned houses on my walks, and I do wonder about their history. Maybe the owner died and had no children to pass it on to. Who knows, I have seen houses being knocked down, and just left as a land plot, maybe so the family doesn't have to pay any tax on it, but are exempt if its empty land? I am not sure about the rules here. Maybe I should look it up. I should talk with the brother-in-law as he is a surveyor of some kind. Either way, I am sure he will know.

There are so many run down places in Hungary. Usually they are left to rot because no-one has capital to fix them up or there's an ownership dispute where no-one can agree on what to do.  They often say, 2 Hungarians can agree but 3 Hungarians, no chance. Probably the same in AT.  We have the same with Mrs F's grandad's house. It has 9 owners as it's been diluted over the years. It could be a nice place but no-one can agree. It's beyond stupid. On the other my MIL's house now only has 2 owners so that could be agreed on. However my BIL is digging his heels in.  He hasn't got over the grief. I reckon 2 years, minimum before he's over it. He goes there and hangs about gardening. It doesn't move the house on - like clearing out the damn 1000+ books. Mrs F has managed to dispose of other land based property owned by my FIL and MIL, so that is good.  It's clearing the decks. We will probably end up with more property, possibly apartments or other houses. It's how Hungarians store their wealth.
I see some interesting properties. I was sent details about a run down mill in Szombathely, next to the border with Austria. It had a working waterwheel based power station of 1MW working there. I found that intriguing! 1MW is easily enough to run your house and all your neighbours too. Selling the power to the grid would also work. But to fix it up, probably north of 200K EUR, minimum, just to get it habitable and get the power station under control and earning.  If I won the lottery, I'd give the mill a punt, just for fun - I like the idea of self-sufficiency. Maybe turn it into holiday apartments. Looks like a nice location in the pictures. Property itself has potential. Just day dreaming.
I know in AT, if you have permission to renovate, you have to do it in a certain time, otherwise you'd be in trouble. On the other hand, letting a property decline needs no permission, so that might be another explanation.
So super windy outside today.
No market day for us.
Very mad at the moment; My brother sent a letter out of the big house to our cousin.
His wife did set him up, she just followed him around then called the cops saying he spoke to her!
Well welcome to the highway to hell! She will defo get the road map!
I suggested he change his plea to not guilty and ask for another lawyer;
His case has been moved to next week.
His evil wife has put us all in prison , emotionally at least.
I went into U tube land to hear tales from ex inmates about how handicapped people are treated inside.
No creds for picking on them but many scumbags will steal from them, easy prey.
He said he wife just wants his pension and disability money; It goes directly into his own account so IDK what will happen if she lies more and more;
So money hungry, her $7,000 a month is not enough, she wants his $4,500 too!!
Oh well, her heart is weak and we can only have hope!

That's pretty bad for your bro. If he's getting $4.5K a month, he should be able to cover his living expenses if he lives frugally. Or just goes somewhere else. Easy for me to say with two legs.  Why does she need all this cash? And if it's paid to him, she's got no claim on it. Maybe he's got a claim on her!
I can believe other inmates will take advantage, that's why most of them are there, they are criminals. And criminals leech of society to the disadvantage of their fellow humans.
It sounds like almost a storm in a tea cup which doesn't deserve for him to be banged up in jail. That's just madness. It's a domestic issue. Unless she said he was dangerous. Who knows?! He could have cut off all contact, changed his number, used a burner, not told her where he was etc.  His lawyer should ask for bail but at least he's getting three squares a day and healthcare. It's not ideal of course, but his pension should be piling up at least and he's no rent to pay. I'd have thought the judge would take pity on the guy. He's got enough trouble without her.
I don't know about the USA, but if they are still married, and she dies, perhaps he's got a claim on her estate? If he made a will, I guess he should change it immediately. Her lawyer should have immediately changed it to exclude him from being a beneficiary. In my own country, a divorce invalidates all previous wills.
Meanwhile, here on the West coast of Africa, it's very warm. All T-shirts, sandals and shorts. It's going to be a shock coming back to Europe. I'm going to have to carry my "autumn" coat from a place that's 35C to one that might be 13C It's just weight.  I was paddling in the sea and I was amazed it was really warm. It's the Atlantic and I've never seen it that warm. Most of the time I am avoiding the warm weather and keep the airco on. It's all work work work, even today and tomorrow. I was saying to my colleague we're both going to have PTSD by the time we finish this very painful piece of BS.Â
