EU rebukes Zelenskyy as tensions with Hungary escalate - EU Perspectives https://share.google/CCzmuYQ8ZIMTXSXea
In a rare rebuke, the European Commission criticised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday over remarks directed at Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Kyiv and Budapest have clashed over Hungary’s blocking of a €90bn European Union loan package intended to support Ukraine’s finances during its war with Russia.
Even the EU says it's true, but you feel the need to lie and excuse a dictator who made death threats against the leader of an EU and NATO country.
Dubia looks like a very strange place.
Ultra wealthy and ultra poor.
I am afraid to say much of anything, do not want to be in the middle of a dog fight.
I realize none of us can change the world, only how we think and act.
It is a shame the world is full of so much hate and distrust.

Yes, if you look behind the scenes, it's pretty oppressive and doesn't meet many of the usual standards one would apply in Western countries. Some people are very exploited there. Modern day slavery. I don't like it there much and I've been there so many times alone and with Mrs Fluffy, I really don't care to see more tourism there as it's all fake.  I doubt I would ever be able to work there either as I've got my own opinions and struggle sometimes to keep a lid on them but I'm often in difficult discussions. I'm less likely to give them both barrels now I've got older.  Contradicting a local in a work setting is unlikely to bring anyone good news.
Trump has gone completely off the rails. I think he thought it was going to be another Venezuela. No-one in the surrounding countries wants to get involved because when Trump gets bored and the US clears off in the aftermath, they are left holding the baby. Surrounding countries cannot change their geography. I cannot see anyone else in Europe wanting that level of involvement either. Trump seems to have misjudged the mood music - did he EVER get that right? Not to say Iran doesn't need reigning in, but a lot of innocents will die for nothing other than Trump's mental ego implosion.
Nope, Zelensky did not threaten to assassinate Orban.
He said, Ukrainians could call Orban and explain to him what is going on. Or visit him at his house. - @fluffy2560

2 mins and 10 seconds. That exposes your misinformation. I don't know why you lie when the truth is so easily available to everyone. - @Fred
Regarding treats this one actually not that deep.
Compare this to what addressed against Venezuela and other countries in recent years.
Simple classical diplomacy changed much, even the Chinese lost patience like two years ago, when answered in an aggressive way: We pock out their 14 eyes then.
Nowdays this called ordinary diplomacy rhetoric.
So many events happening all at once and we are only 3 months into 2026.
Pushing hard for agenda 2030 from our leaders.
Petrol prices have gone up in the US. Still not as high as in the EU but then again, unless you have experienced driving in the US would might not understand how far things are from each other, no car and you are lost.
My husband took the bus once in Vegas, arrived every 3 hours and he was in the city not the outskirts.
No car and you are dead in the water.
Collected 3 bags of clothing to put out or toss out, whichever comes first.
I can not believe the amount of junk we have collected here over the years.
Spring cleaning is coming early this year.
I wish I could get my husband to toss out some junk.
IDK, hard to make solid long term plans when the world is in turmoil.

I am on the way to the UK via Saudi Arabia and I am expecting fuel to be £1.30 to £1.50 a litre back there maybe more during my visit. It was my only escape route.
Trump is stealing Venezuela's oil for the US and screwing the rest of the world who rely on tankers from the Middle East by waging war on Iran. I suppose in the short term the cost of fuel will be higher but if the government there changes, sanctions will be over and oil will flow from Iran and the rest of the region. Price going down will hurt Putin for a bit but I guess he's given Donny his orders and obviously neither of them truly cares who suffers.
@fluffy2560
Joke:
You should bring oil home from SA. Cheaper than water.

Was wondering how the adventure was going.
Glad to hear you made it out.
I have heard petrol in the US is over $5. a gallon ATM and going up daily.
Donny is not sharing with the rest of the US, he is hoarding it all for himself.

I am back in the UK again and I've been here a couple of days. On arrival I slept for 12h solid
I was really tired. But I seem to have got into the timezone again no problem. Be back to HU at the weekend. Meantime catching up with my daughter. Weather is brutal. It is so windy and so cold! Delhi was 32C!
I paid £1.40 a litre yesterday for petrol/gasoline. That's up but not too much. It must be a lot more expensive in Germany or Netherlands. High taxes.
Donny has no control over oil prices. Releasing from the strategic reserves will make only 3 days difference. The war will go on 3 months at least, possibly 6 months or longer. Donny made that bed so he can lie in it.
What is the old saying, lay with dogs and get flees?
Have to look it up.
I am sure it will be sweet to get home and rest in your own home.
I am afraid this lamo war will be yet a different version of covid.
An excuse to give it to us.
They soon will make travel so expensive that the average Joe will not go anywhere.
It does seem however that travel from China to Hungary is in full swing. So many tourists never Blaha from China that it was hard to pass by them.
I do hope this so called war ends soon but not going to hold my breath.
This is the perfect excuse for the NWO to make major changes.

The Chinese will be coming in directly from there to BUD airport. I don't think they'd go via the Middle East. They'd fly over Russia.  They tend to travel in large groups. Japanese do that too. They have a courier with a flag.
Trump has definitely got fleas - most of them called Jeffrey Epstein and other scumbags.
Oil is over $100 a barrel again.  Radio said it could go as high as $200.  That'll kill off economics in some countries.
BTW, the volcanoes are once more active in Hawaii. Maybe this is the beginning of the 2nd coming.
@fluffy2560 Joke:You should bring oil home from SA. Cheaper than water. - @sjbabilon5
It's $0.62 a litre for gasoline in KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
I thought it would be cheaper than that. Someone told me it was about $0.08 a few years ago.
Of course, most of the costs in Western countries is down to taxes.
My biggest complaint is if electricity is being produced by green sources - like wind, solar, hydro etc - why is it linked to the oil/gas price? It should be able to float, specially now?  I did not include nuclear in "green".
If they did that, electric cars will be massively more popular.
I've just come back from a country with huge hydro resources and electric cars were everywhere. Charging overnight cost $2.  That's how it should be - speaking as a consumer.
Yes,was going to contact my friend in Hilo about the volcano acting up again.
She has Lupus and it is acting up plus her youngest son has relapsed with his drug use.
One son is a doctor and they other has major issues.
Probably linked to her Lupus flare up, extra stress.
She is the coolest lady, she is black although I thought she was Latin for ages.
Her father was a famous baseball player in the Negro division in the 1940,s.
She is a 2 time widow also teaches yoga on the Island and also has a yoga studio in her home.
Her life seems so cool but even she has problems.
She is always inviting me to visit her, maybe some day.
The second coming, that would be the most wonderful day ever!
Well maybe not for everyone!
Example, my bros wife.
He has been moved to Kern prison, Delano, once again;
The sent him there because he is suppose to be on a special diet, soft foods.
Well so far no soft foods given he gets what everyone else gets!
He has been moved 3 times back and forth which means at least a full week of being locked inside his cell without getting out!
Reason is they in their slow offices need to figure out which yard to send him to.Thought that was already settled.
Last prison he was doing OK.
Had friends he hung with, had his church group and even a pair of high top tennis shoes.A package from someone arrived but since he was moving the held it back and they even took his extra shoes away when he was moved.
He said they gave him one set of underwear, used of course undershirt, pants and socks, no other clothing for days, then he was given a worn ready to tear apart red uniform.
WTH?? His package might find him or not. As it is it takes weeks for his mail to come.
Ca.can not afford to care for those they lock up?
Thought Ca; was the 9th richest place on earth.
He is very down now, sorry he requested a special diet so he would not chock to death.
2 more months to go.
I still have hope his wife will keel over by then!
She defo needs to be afraid of judgement day!
Have not seen gas/petrol prices here in HU.
Not been using the car much and have not thought to look into it.

Yeah, the petrol/gas prices are going up all over.  Thank you Donny. That's getting even stranger. He's sending 5000 Marines to the region plus a helicopter carrier. I can only think he's going to invade Iran somewhere. Might be posturing. But why 5000? Doesn't seem enough. Never mind, we'll find out.
I guess living on a volcanic island brings all kind of problems, not least respiratory issues. All those noxious gases are being thrown out by huge amounts. I suppose a lot will blow away but some might linger. I guess the thing is not to live on a volcano. I always fancied seeing Iceland (been to the airport) but not sure I'd want to live there.
Being moved around from prison to prison makes you wonder how that feels. One has no control on one's own life. I suppose apart from a few personal things, he has nothing to take with him between each move.
I've said it before, prison is punishment, revenge and retribution in some countries but in others it's for rehabilitation.

Yes, my poor bro, not bad enough he was in hospital and rehab for over a year, they took his leg and his wife went nuts on him.
No Galvin Newsom has to mess with people although he loves his illegals.
My cousin has sent my bro some funds, I soon will also be doing the same;
More on that later...
Beautiful day out there.
Windy but so springlike.
i am still in shock,my husband had a bad fall yesterday and I am so grateful he did not kill himself.
Men are so dang stubborn.
I woke up at 6:45 to a loud crash.
Jumped out of bed to find my hubby crunched up on the bathroom floor with his head in a strange angle against the wall, he feel around either side of the toilet bowl and blood coming out of his mouth!!
i went into Girl Scout mode, thankfully instead of panic mode.
He had done something so silly and stupid I am still mad at him;
The toilet was sort of leaking and he stood up on top of the seat to adjust the water flow from the valve; His feet slipped from under him and down he came!
I did not understand straight away, thought he had a stroke or heart attack, He had the wind knocked out of him when I told him to stay calm I was calling for an ambulance.
He finally was able to say no, not to call.
I Had slowly made his legs straight and carefully removed his head from the wall, whipped his bloody mouth and within 5 mins he was able to get up with my help and go to bed.
It seems he first hit the waching machine which broke his fall.
Weak me, still can do it under pressure, surprised myself how strong I was.
I tried to get him to see a doctor for at least an Xray or CT but no, so stubborn.
Seems OK today, praise God!
Sore though!
Man alive how silly can one be?
Today he was feeling good enough to have us go into a plumbing store and buy new parts for the tank.
Gosh, life sure has it, s moments!
I think today I feel worst then he does, my nervous system took a hit!
I can finally use my Klimaticket, a bit pricy but well worth it, €1400. But I get to use every method of public transport in Austria- I am paying it off monthly. I am trying to go to Vienna each day, and my monthly ticket is much more than what I am paying for this country ticket.
I've yet to see a lot of Austria, still, so why not just get on a Train and bugger off around the country at the weekend?

Good plan to get out and about. Does it include things like the Salamander?
We've been up there and we had goulash soup at the cafe (or it might have been another one like it).

Maybe he should go to hospital. If he banged his head, he could have something wrong which is not visible. Nothing wrong with being cautious. Try and persuade him to drop by the Accident and Emergency (US: Emergency Room) and to get the once over. People think they are OK and there's an underlying problem which takes a while to come out.  It's not like he's really got anything else to do.  I suspect they'll scan his head. It'd put your minds at rest.
I think probably Newsom is just following the typical lead that prison is for punishment, not rehabilitation back to society. People no doubt complain about them paying for criminals to be locked up.Â
In my own country, there was a news article about people trying to get back into prison because they've been released and end up homeless on the street. In the jail, they get food, can keep warm and have a bed to sleep in.Â
In the US, with no real safety nets, it's probably a matter of survival to get back in there, at least for short periods.
It is costing my brother over $4,500 a month to be locked up.
His pension and disability funds are suspended until he is released!
I told him so but I think he believes his bank account to growing, which it is not.
If they mishandled it and paid him while locked up, he has to return it all!
Yikes,huge mess.
I am keeping a close eye on hubby,s condition; He seems fine, really was more then lucky!
I made him promise to not do stupid stuff any longer;
Like one can change the way they do things.
Even a young person could get seriously hurt climbing on unsteady objects.
My friend in Vegas learned that sadly;
Her older brother was only 21 and broke his neck diving into the Kern River; Became a quad, had a friend in rehab give him a hot shot because he could not live that way.
Must of been over 50 years ago.
Still upsets her.

I had to look up what a "hot shot" was - looks like heroin with/without fentanyl or carfentanyl (100x worse than fentanyl).  Pretty much a death sentence. If he want to go out, that'd do it.
That's a bit strange stopping any benefits in in jail. I suppose if it's government money, maybe but if he had any private pension scheme, none of their business. I don't really know how the system works. They probably do the same in the UK.
I find going up ladders quite difficult. I tend to find myself feeling dizzy up there. Not a good situation. I've never been keen on heights anyway so I don't know if it's just my nerves/fears coming out or something more serious.
I think it'll dog walking this arvo.  Now back from travels, domestic reality butts in here once more at Fluffy Towers.

Grrrr, get home, and the missus has reset the internet Router to the factory password. Well, that was painless to connect the mobile and tablet once, as they are linked together so it would seem.
ddDFKFLZFL8ZFG3IFO How are you meant to remember something like that?
I want something simple, so when friends stay over. Surely she could have finished the job; she managed to give them both names (its a dual WiFi Router 4G/5G)
Now my Alexa needs resetting, double whammy as I use it to switch on the lights, listen to the radio, and as a calendar reminder for the day, it's linked to my phones calandar.

You can login to it and change the password to anything you want. You might find it's got a QR code on the back or underneath and you can scan that.  It's pretty much normal these days.Â
I really despise the equipment provided by the telcos/ISPs. Really trashy junk.
We have a lot of stuff here for IT, most of it professional level.  I am now trying to get my security cameras to be accessible from a mobile application. I only just realised I could add them to a fancy application which operates on the laptop.  I thought it only supported their cameras, not other manufacturers.Â
I was just looking at a smart doorbell but they are really rather expensive and I can just look out the window or front door to see who is at the gate.
My bro gave me a fancy pants camera with PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) and that's quite fun but it's a bit crazy for our small bit of Hungary. It's not Fort Knox here.  He said he couldn't get it working and it took about 2 minutes to get it working. He should have asked me to set it up. But he just bought a different one and let me have his cast off.

Maybe you can visit each Wien station and do a guide for each one.Â
BTW, I was in Manchester (International) Airport (MIA) and they have trams there which I had not seen before. It was very peculiar at MIA. So many operators there and lots of restrictions on tickets. People were being hassled for being on the wrong train, even if it stops at the same stations. Chaotic. I had a ticket to my station by any route but it was pretty expensive for what it was.
The Salamander in AT is painfully expensive. It was run by OBB but it now seems to be run by some other company and therefore possibly excluded. Probably not worth going up there now, be horribly cold and snowy.  But be OK maybe May onwards. There's also the Rax cable car. Be good if those were both included in your mega-ticket.
My bro,s pension is a city one ,they can stop it if he is locked up.
A private pension would still be active.
My cousin in NM told my bro she was not willing to send a package or mail to his wife for him;
I wish he would wake up and realize he must go total no contact and only use a lawyer.
Think of her as dead, if dreams could come true!
My mom sadly dropped the ball with those last 2 late born children.
My deceased sister had been tested to have an I.Q.over 145 and I think the last 2 are barely 80!
I do wonder sometimes how accurate those tests really are.
Older sister was 131 but she does some silly things at times, like get married 4 times.
Me, not that high but respectable but then again no one is perfect, I get bored so fast that I never follow through with things. If I do, it takes it all out of me mentally. Have to care about a subject to learn it or not interested in wasting my time.
My husband can sit for hours thinking about a project and the best way to tackle it, if it takes longer then 5 mins to figure out, I am done.
The weather is lovely here now.
I hope the water levels will be good at the lakes this summer; Last years was not so good.
Picked up a package yesterday at one of those depot areas. A young 24 year old American women was inside picking up her package; We all chatted for a bit, nice to meet a young person with a good head on their shoulders.
She said there are allot of Americans living in Hungary.
IDK, I never really met many and those have all left.
- @SimCityAT
Good plan to get out and about. Does it include things like the Salamander?
We've been up there and we had goulash soup at the cafe (or it might have been another one like it). - @fluffy2560
There are some you can't use, I think thats one of them. But I am only interested in the buses, trains, trams and underground in Vienna. I really must look up what's not included.
- @SimCityAT
Maybe you can visit each Wien station and do a guide for each one.
- @fluffy2560
I'm not a licensed guide, you have to go to school and train. They are pretty hot on it. I have today travelled quite a fair distance today on the train. I thought how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful country.

I meant write an online guide to Wien public transport. You don't need to go to college for that.Â
I don't know if trainspotting is a hobby in Austria.
Plane spotting is a hobby here - especially at BUD airport.

Happened to take a ride over near the airport.
Wanted to see for ourselves how the bus ride there actually is organized.
On the way back a women in her mid 30,s passed out.
I could not see her very well but believe she had been standing.
Bus pulled over till she recovered and then she was sitting looking pale and off;
She was a bit on the heavier side so standing for a long period in one place might of been too much for her.
After we deboarded the bus she and her friend also got off;
I told her I hoped she felt better and she replied and had a UK accent.
The flight from the UK is not too far if that is were she came from.
For a moment when I saw people holding her up and laying her on the filthy bus floor I thought, oh great here we go again; I might need to volunteer to do CPR. No way, last time the guy died on me!
Too old to be a hero now!
They really should provide enough seating for everyone and they also have no area to store lubbage.
I do not care, we can ride for free even on the airport bus.
Beggars can not be chosers!
What a way to start your trip, laying flat out on the bus floor.
My Vegas friend is a bit reckless with buying reclining chairs.
So far within the year they have purchased 5 new ones.
She ordered yet another one which will be delivered on Friday.
Just can not find one comfy enough for her liking.
Got a Laze e boy one this time, super pricey for a somewhat ugly looking chair.
She just gives away the others for nothing.
Her husband is keeping his for now, unless she decides it does not match her new one!
IDK? we have the same old junk my MIL purchased new in 1978!
Wish I could take her toss off chairs from her!
Strange how some people have holes in their pockets and others are penny pinchers.
Moderation is not bad.
I do hope this time she is happy, she said it costs more then a car!
No really but some chairs are over $2,400 and they look like something a granny would of had in the 1950,s.
Beautiful weather here, heard Vegas is already in the 90,s.

Nice weather brings gardening here at Fluffy Towers.  We're emptying some of the plant pots. We're dumping the old compost into the larger garden compost heap. It can rot away there and we can mix it up with new compost in production. Means getting the spade out to turn it all over.  The grass is growing quite a bit. And my exotic grass collection needs a major clean up.  We have a major weed infestation in our lawn. I don't know what's under there but it must be pretty bad - I originally planned to put the compost on it.  Mrs F and I have been thinking we'll get gardeners in to put some turf in and to put in some walking paving stones. The dog has worn a path and we have free stones from the MIL's place.  They were supposed to be used for their driveway but they both kicked the bucket. And they didn't have a car.
We've got an old chair which is mechanical for laying back and has a foot rest. Must be 1970s or 1960s. We inherited from a house we bought. It's one of the most comfortable chairs we have. It does need restuffing and re-covering but it's so expensive we haven't done it but maybe we will in the future.  It's historic. It's where we sat feeding the kids when they were wee bairns (it's Scottish, means childs/baby).  It's got like "wings" on it and relatively high sides and more of a sit up straight kind of height. It means you can get in and out easily and stuff cushions under your arms to support yourself and the baby while giving a bottle.  Those were the days. And it must have worked - those wee bairns are giants now - taller than us. Those chairs are ideal for people with very young kids.  Maybe your friend could give the extra chairs away to an old folks home or possibly mother and baby centre.

I guess that was bus 100E.Â
It's cheap to take but it still gets screwed up in the traffic if they are working on that airport road. Talk about bad design. I keep thinking why don't they extend the metro out there to T2? It's been an annoyance for almost 30 years since the regime change.
It could be the fainting person on the bus could have had any number of conditions. Even pregnant.  They should have taken her to hospital.  If she had the free UK health card, it would have been free but she would have missed the flight. So many people do not have insurance or the UK health card. They can get away with free healthcare on a passport in theory.
I often watch the planes on Flight Radar 24. It's amazing how busy it is up there.  Usually coming in to the airport, I see people lined up to watch the planes coming and going.Â
My husband used to watch the flights at Harry Reid airport in Vegas when he was a cab driver.
Noticed some retired Malav planes.
That was a nice airline.
The women fainted coming into the city after her flight.
I have a feeling she locked her knees or needed some water.
Hate to say it, she was not very fit for her age.
As a table games dealer and hairdresser we learned to not lock your knees while standing for long periods.
Perhaps the military also teaches that?
Yes, it was the 100E bus, not sure why they do not have luggage racks inside.
We usually take that Mini Bus or taxi when we go anywhere but it is nice to know we can hope on fro free if we needed or wanted to.
Great to meet anyone at the airport without breaking the bank going both ways.
I forgot how small that airport is, sort of reminds me of the small ones on Hilo and Maui.
My brother worked for years at LAX before transferring to Charlotte.
Every time I see a plane, I think of him.
He used to move huge planes by himself to different areas in the airport.
Must of been a trip to be driving a plane built for hundreds of people all by yourself.
Back to the trip to the airport, most passengers on that bus looked more like your basic economy passengers then business class or even premium economy. Only a few had luggage with them, most were back backers who looked like their last camping grounds had no showers!
This young women with greasy hair came rolling down to a seat in front of us, she had a pair of muddy looking old trainers hanging off of her pack; Real classy like! IDK the days of dressing up to travel are long gone!
My mother flew from Ca. to Conn around 1961. She had on nylons, high heels, a new suit, handbag, pearls, her hair done up and lipstick and makeup on.
She looked like a movie star as did everyone else.
Today the water company (now "Capital City Water Company" - same as Budapest) turned up to check all our infrastructure, including our water meter (again) and they also - unusually - checked our drains/sewage connection. We were advised we had the wrong type of inspection holes.Â
According to their records, we also did not have a sewage connection! I wonder where they thought it was going.  They looked in the holes and decided it was good enough. Not paying for a new set of holes. They can pay.

They just turned up?
Gosh, this would have us fuming!
We had a very high water bill a month or so back;
Went in as I reported to 3 different offices, arrived at the main office 30 mins before they closed.
They actually shut the lights off while my husband was still winding down his visit and still speaking to a clerk!
We treated last min. customers in a beauty salon better then that! In any case they could not go over our bills with us or show why they charged so much. Like the wild west, take it or leave it.
One reason my husband had that bad tumble last week, he was trying to check out the toilet water valve to see if it was running still.
Long story but he is sick of these utility companies. Can not live without it though so they have you over a barrel.
I honestly hope they do not start some BS with your water holes. No idea what that would be but sounds like yet another lame excuse to charge for some services.

Yes, they just arrived without sending a letter.  They had a plan with all the properties on and they were ticking off all the ones they do not have details on.  Our external waste pipes were all replaced a couple of years ago.  We had "surface" pipes and not "underground" pipes and they were just not good enough as we'd converted that land to a driveway.  They would have cracked under pressure of vehicles.  And as for the holes, these are rodding points. And usually they occur at a change of direction so we did it OK. I did have to insist that the builders added larger holes at the change in direction. We had small ones just before the property boundary which is what they were commenting on.  If they insisted, then they'd have to pay as it all works just fine.
They have no rights on the property as far as I know. They only begin at the property boundary. And our waste goes into their existing pipework so that's the demarcation point.
Our water company in the village seems to have been transferred or sold to Budapest Water. We're only a few hundred metres from the boundary anyway, so it's OK but I expect our bills will increase because of it. It was a real muddle before and we never got a bill until a couple of years ago.
Mrs F says we're currently being offered a "more electricity" and "less gas" deal by the MVM (utilities company).  It's got to be an election ploy.  Obviously more nuclear power will be cheaper in the long term for us as consumers. And they cannot get Russian gas now. It's such BS. They can easily get gas via other routes.

I know people got dressed up for going on the plane. I recent history, I've seen people all togged up to fly somewhere with all their finery on. Frankly, they looked ridiculous. It's horrible flying anyway - even in business class. They'll arrive all sweaty and uncomfortable at the destination. Simply not worth it. Casual clothes, preferably sports wear like a track suit works. No belt on trousers saves time at security. Â
They have new scanners now and at least I can keep my electronics in my hand luggage. No way I am going to check in my laptop. That's just asking for trouble. They haven't reduced the liquid restrictions. Some airports now allow 2L of liquids.Â
BUD is a useless airport for any serious travel. We now have to look at VIE (Vienna) for long haul. Parking there is diabolically expensive so best to be in and out.
Most airport buses are stupidly designed. People have luggage, it's heavy and there's nowhere to put it. Surly personnel on the buses don't help either.  It's not an ideal way to get to the airport if you've got kids or bags.
I have been on 100E - it was all bunged up around there so I went to the Terminal shopping centre for Mrs F to pick me up. That's bad design as well. Small road to airport and major shopping centre. What could go wrong?  They always get traffic planning incorrect and they don't know how to lay out roads and favour lights instead of roundabouts.
They redid a road in our village but there was easily enough room for a roundabout but they kept the lights which malfunction quite often.  They also made the angles incorrect. That's a common theme around Hungary - not being able to lay out roads with enough space for turns. Usually one ends up hitting the curbs with the nearside rear wheel.
- @fluffy2560
I think only hydro reliable in case of rivers.
Others need always a backup, especially solar. Which can reliably done by natural gas plants, not even nuclear can jump / ramp up production that fast: that rely on fix operation.
Nuclear is rather clean, even compared to wind/ solar, does not need that many rare elements, nor disturb wildlife (like wind farms for birds, or solar for insects).

I haven't looked into it but I wonder what happened to the hydro plant on the Duna shared with Slovakia. I think it never was completed.  I remember the UK commissioning the Dinorwig hydro/pumped storage plant in Wales (zero to 1800 MW in 16 seconds! Wow!).  They could make one of those here, perhaps in the Matra. It could be done.
I've got no problem with wind farms or solar. It's free power and not linked to the oil/gas price. And the nature disturbances are much overplayed. My own country has a lot of wind power as it's an island with 4000+ miles of coast line. Unlike Trump, I like the wind farms and also unlike Trump, I do not confuse windMILLS with wind turbines. No-one is MILLING anything.
I see gas turbine plants all over the place in the UK - usually distributed systems. They can spin up in minutes. Just have to pump in the gas. Kind of reminds me of the small scale nuclear plants they are designing now. Every town will have one. Ukraine must be moving towards this kind of solution as a hedge against attacks. Others will be thinking of that. Ukrainian ones I expect will be underground in bomb proof shelters.

It s not free, needs to be produced (the parts), install it, connect it, maintain it, also take care of backups.
As for shallow water coastal ones: those are in fact more feasable in certain areas (UK, Holland included) than inland ones. Some country just have really lucky geography, for example Norway with their rivers and hydro, problem starts when others try to copycat outcome and off course fail because have different conditions. Best example is Germany which get ruined by this green agenda in recent years.
" small scale nuclear plants"
Yes that is in progress, and seems suitable on paper.
There are security concerns if actually get civilian oversight instead of military. So I can expect those in Ukraine, USA, Israel, Russsia, even Japan, Korea, China and Turkey, but would be a surprise in Western Europe save the Swiss and maybe Austria where are serious security contractors. Elsewhere they hardly able to provide suitable security for dozens or hundreds of small plants scattered around the country. There are warnigs about the French ones even when those are larger and well estabilished.
My Vegas friend is happy with her new chair but now she is full of guilt over the price.
If I lived there, I would take her old chair off her hands or is that off her bottom?
Every item in her home is perfect and in place. No idea how she keeps it up from her wheelchair.
If she saw our place she would have a nervous fit, I know I do myself at times; Hoarder husband.
I swear we must have more unused junk laying around then a swap meet vendor has.
We could open up a store!
Even paying to hoard junk in the US.
Hope to settle up with that soon enough.
Dumbest thing we did was open up a unit for our sons gaming stuff.
We did not want to mix our things up with his believing he would not stay long in Japan.
Mistake. I almost want to contact one of those storage buyers to just give me a price on the whole thing without dealing with it.
Never going to even get a penny on the dollar of what we have spent on rent there.
Our son claims his games and collection or rare Japanese games and books are worth at least $20,000.
Now days with a bad economy he is dreaming; How many people have extra cash for games?
I have a ton of old Stones LPs, as well as other bands LPs.
My bro was saying the first Beatles LP was worth over $1,000. My sister left one behind and I guess he sold it long ago.
IDK, sounds like a pipe dream. I do remember my sisters had all the Beatles gadgets, books, mags, posters, concert stubs, even one sister had a reply letter from Johns auntie thanking her for being a fan.
They grew up and moved away; Left everything in boxes at my mom,s home;
Mom did a huge spring cleaning and threw it all in the trash!!
I understand though; She stored my eldest sisters classic car in her garage for a decade! Step dad would start it up but no one drove it.
I asked my step dad to store an antique bed frame for me when we moved to NY, he said no way.
He did save my 10 speed bike but I never really rode it much.
I do sometimes wish we had a lawn to mess with, allot of work though to keep it nice.
Rented a house in New Mexico with a large yard, it was so hot and dry we never even went out there.
Yes, the way they made some of the roads in Hungary are dangerous.
I know we visited a friend in Farmos and left after dark; The glare from oncoming headlights in the rain was terrible. They had concrete road dividers just pop up out of nowhere, hard to see in the rainy darkness. The lane just shifted out of nowhere.
6 months ago we drove towards Tesco and a city bus went into our lane about 25 percent. My husband pulled to the left to not get hit but our front left tire, tyre hit a jagged bit of concrete divider and it blew out!
We hobbled out of traffic and changed it but darn!
