The Hunting Party follows a group of highly- skilled investigators tasked with tracking down the missing killers after an explosion lets them loose from their top-secret prison. If hunting the most conniving and sadistic criminals wasn’t enough, it’s also up to them to discern whether the explosion was really an accident or all part of some grand master plan.

Kirstin Dunst is a really good actress. She made the transition from child actress to adult very well.
She was excellent in Interview With A Vampire.
She's also married to Jesse Plemons. Hollywood royalty.
I started watching Scarpetta.
I am not sure what to make of it.
There's too much focus on the titular ME's relationships with all the dysfunctional around her. It's got a good cast but the approach is less a murder mystery but a mystery how those people ever lived with each other or ever got together. There's not enough technical stuff either about what she's doing in an autopsy. She just pulls out people's livers and chops their ribs up. All that depth and detail is glossed over. It's a stitch up to get to the personal lives. Do me a favour!
And there's two parallel stories going on - one from the past and one in the present day. It's not helping.
I don't know if I can go on with it past episode 1. I'll have to watch the 2nd episode but I am not leaning into it.
If I was Patricia Cornwell - the author - I'd be wondering if I'd sold my soul and someone had squatted there and trashed it.
p.s. I accidentally deleted my original post
Blue Skies
TV Series 2026 -
National Park Investigator Jodi Larsen and a lost dog named Blue team up to solve mysteries in the wilderness, forging an unexpected bond amidst danger and healing.

My core problem that is hard to find films to watch in the past 10-15 years.
Even when widen search: barely known French, Scandinavian, Baltic, Asian films.
Funny as just recently did watch Clint Eastwood films from the mid 1980's, which strangely more watchable than most recent ones from Hollywood.
Feels either old or retro.

Personally I am a mega fan of 1960s and 1970s movies and Clint was a machine turning out genre hits one after the other. My all time fave Clint movies are Unforgiven and Where Eagles Dare. Unfortunately he's so old now, I fear he won't be with us for that much more. Still working as far as I know.
I've got a French version of The Talented Mr Ripley queued up. Stars Alain Delon. Forgotten the French name. Looke glitzy and has that French style only they can do. Downloadable for sure.
p.s. I should have added The Outlaw Josey Wales to my Clint list. One of the best Westerns ever!
For French films: they are good to make extreme ones, like:
- Martyrs
- Raw
- Baise-Moi
In many regard they are in pair with Japan which made the original bases for countless US horror remakes.
As for Scandinavian films (they have good tv series too):
Agent Hamilton.

I've seen it all and the last season is interesting but I feel there were more stories to tell.
This looks interesting and it stars the Jessie Buckley who has seen a meteoric rise in popularity post-Hamnet - The Bride. Trailer gives the impression of a zombie style Bonnie and Clyde comedy/drama. Director is Maggie Gyllenhaal which is an interesting curiosity. Christian Bale is always good value.

Continuum
2012 ‧ Sci-fi ‧ 4 seasons
Continuum is a one-hour police drama centred on Kiera Cameron, a regular cop from 65 years in the future who finds herself trapped in present-day Vancouver. She is alone, a stranger in a strange land, and has eight of the most ruthless criminals from the future, known as Liber8, loose in the city. Lucky for Kiera, through the use of her CMR (cellular memory recall), a futuristic liquid chip technology implanted in her brain, she connects with Alec Sadler, a 17-year-old tech genius. When Kiera calls, and Alec answers, a unique partnership begins. Kiera's first desire is to get "home." But until she figures out how, she must survive in our time period and use all the resources available to her to track and capture the terrorists before they alter history enough to change the course of the future. After all, what's the point of going back if the future isn't the one you left?

I'll scream if they make any more Scream movies. I saw maybe 1 and 2 but 7? Really?!

Exactly, 3 was enough. I had no idea they went this far!

I watched this and it wasn't bad at all. Bit US gung-ho and all that but reasonable action movie. The scenery was nice. Filmed in Australia, NZ and Canada. I never rated Alan Ritchson but he did OK in this one.
@SimCityAT
Continum was just fine.
Funny fact: among the very few where they actually was able to manage for a proper closing of the series, as production team planned to cancel it, but in the end the final season produced to complete the story.

I do like watching these old ones, some episodes I had missed or totally forgotten.
I watch them on TubiTV.com. If you have a VPN (set to USA). Its great to watch them.
USA:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Nicholas Brendon dies aged 54
My older kids loved Buffy. Even I liked it. 54 is too young to die.
BTS is doing a comeback concert now streaming live 12-14h CET on Netflix. Over 260,000 fans are expected there in South Korea. They have a huge following. Many millions worldwide will be watching.

I know, 54 is young , my sister and step father both passed at age 43. Mind blowing and very sad.
I have known several people who also moved on in the mid 40,s and early 30,s; my auntie passed at 26 as the mother of 2, one being only 10 days old.
Life is very uncertain.
I do not care if a person is 100, that is still too young to go.
The older one gets the more you understand that age is just a number.
No one really ever grows up or gets old inside.
At least this young man saw some of his dreams come true.May he RIP.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man
2026
Crime / Drama / History

After his estranged son gets embroiled in a Nazi plot, self-exiled gangster Tommy Shelby must return to Birmingham to save his family — and his nation.
Netflix:
Prometheus - Alien based movie - is on Netflix. For some reason, I missed this episode completely. Good cast of famous faces and plenty of alien action and nice pace. Deserved a sequel but it's dated 2012 so obviously did not get one but there's the Alien TV series due for Season 2 sometime - maybe 2027.

US:
Tributes paid to movie star Chuck Norris, who dies aged 86
Bit of a shame.
Chuck Norris, the iconic martial artist and actor, has died at 86, his family announced on Instagram Friday. The news comes less than 24 hours after Norris reportedly suffered a medical emergency in Kauai, Hawaii and required hospitalization. TMZ reported that Norris was in "good spirits" after the incident and even returned to training.Norris turned 86 last week and looked spry in a video he posted to Instagram, as he sparred a trainer and said, "I don't age. I level up." - @fluffy2560
So from now on there can be a Chuck Norris bridge at Hungary.
Some years back actually people voted for that, but was not possible legally to name a building after any person who is still alive.

That's not stopped Trump. OK, it is the USA and not here. Just sayin'
I saw an interview with Chuck and he was pretty level headed. He found his niche.
Strange goings on:
We have a local airport called Farkas Hegy (Wolf Hill) which is just a grass strip. A helicopter was doing slow turns over an area close to the airfield.
It had two groups of people - one each side - dressed in black ready to abseil off the chopper. Then we saw it making fast passes over an area at the end of the runway. Backwards and forwards, with and without the ninjas aboard.
I think they were filming an action movie or show over there. They've done filming before around there. We sometimes take the dog over there for walkies so I thought we might take a look during the week. Someone might know what it's all about.
I've started watching Outlander - there are 94 episodes so far and 8 seasons. It's on Netflix and also downloadable - all of it Scottish themed. Unfortunately the Redcoats (British) are the evil ones as usual - Mel Gibson style. It's a little bit soft porn in front of roaring fires, roughness of men in kilts hiding daggers and sultry strong/smart women. Love story of sorts.

Saw 2001 movie The Pledge on Netflix. Stellar cast but not sure the ending was sufficiently satisfying. Lot of questions left unanswered and I would have preferred a better resolution.

I did watch yesterday the few episodes which are aired from the TV series Marshall's.
Well as action series it is acceptable more or less. But it was grave mistake to put into two girls as "commando" who by their performance failed to ever attend even at an airsoft game. In the US it is not that hard to find girls who actually ok with guns.
The recurring actors from the Yellowstone series deliver their performance at least.
But it seems like screenwriters changed much, so the series mood is different than Yellowstone, more like a failed attempt to reproduce something other than the setting/ ascetics.
