"What to look for on: TV, Online, Radio, & Cinema"

I watched this movie this afternoon (as it looked like rain, outside work on hold). It was on Netflix.   Good cast but a bit gung-ho.  Movie of its time.  It's set mainly in Laos but I've been there many times and it's not like that now.  Very different and a common backpacking destination.

Uncommon Valor

This was my movie today:

The Silence

The Silence is a 2019 post-apocalyptic horror film directed by John R. Leonetti and starring Kiernan Shipka, Stanley Tucci, Miranda Otto, and John Corbett. The screenplay by Carey and Shane Van Dyke adapts the 2015 horror novel of the same name by Tim Lebbon. The film depicts a world under attack by creatures who hunt by sound. Shipka plays a deaf teenager who seeks shelter with her family, and a cult tries to take advantage of her fertility.

I primarily watched it because Stanley Tucci was in it.  Bit of a soft spot for him as he lives in London and is married to Felicity Blunt, sister of Emily Blunt, the famous actress.  Anyway, he's quite popular on UK TV programmes.  I find him sympathetic.
