I watched it; I vaguely remember the case. It was reported in the news, but I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Hmmm, well, I'll let you watch it and see what you think.

The Crash, watched the court case on U Tube.

Selfish insane chick.

She should get life.

Re watched The Kingdom of Heaven the other night.

3 plus hours long but flew by fast.

Good film with a good cast.

King Baldwin 4 was a teen hero and I am surprised he has not been made a saint yet.

I think it was you Fluffy recommending Ghostery. Its bloody amazing. It blocks adverts on Tubi and Fawesome but it also blocks adverts on YouTube.

So well worth having it as your Ad blocker.

Yes, it works well. They make their money reporting to advertisers what is being blocked. So that's a bit of a twist to the usual stuff. The blocking on YT is a godsend.

I also recommend installing Reader View software cum extension. If there are too many nag screens blocking viewing, just push the reader view and it'll show the text and relevant images without clutter. Press again to see the original.

On my Android phone I use the free PersonalDNSfilter application. It kills BS ads on Euronews. I generally only use it for that.

It's 30th of May and that means it's the UEFA European Championship league final in Budapest at the Puskas Stadium.  This year, it's PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) vs Arsenal. Kick-off 1800h.

The bad news is not being shown on British TV for nothing.  Here in HU, it might be on RTL or Sport 1 - not sure we have Sport 1.   But will it be free?   Apparently the UK has it on TNT Sports for £4.99 or something.  This is not good news that it's not free.   Usually national events are shown live on public broadcasters.

I heard a report that downtown is fully  mobbed by fans.

@fluffy2560

You can watch the PSG vs. Arsenal match live in the US on CBS (English TV) or Univision / TUDN (Spanish TV). For live streaming, the game is available on Paramount+, as well as platforms that carry CBS and TUDN like Fubo.

To watch the Paris Saint-Germain vs. Arsenal UEFA Champions League Final in France, you can tune in to the free-to-air channel M6 or the subscription-based sports network Canal+. Live streaming will also be available on their respective digital platforms.

Watch the PSG vs. Arsenal match live in Austria through Sky Sport Austria or via the Sky Go streaming service. Alternatively, you can catch select UEFA matches on CANAL+ Austria, ServusTV, or ORF. (The later is Free)

That pretty much covers it.

Locally there's a giant TV screen downtown in Heroes Square for those without tickets or only passing interest.

I've got the "free" Proton VPN but I don't have the ability to choose which country it uses.  It will never choose the UK so its usefulness is a bit marginal.  It often defaults to the USA so this should be sufficient.  Radio 5 in the UK is carrying the commentary live I believe.  So I can watch on any foreign channel with the radio commentary completing the game.

It's going to be a bit of a push for time to take the dog, get to the supermarket and car wash.  And it's not sunny and looks like rain.

There are reports of football hooligan clashes last night in Kiraly (King) Street.  It's a place full of ruin bars, restaurants and wot not.  17000 tickets per side have been sold but many fans are in town without tickets.  It's asking for trouble.  We heard rumours of 6M HUF for an apartment rental for the few days around the timing. I said we should rent the MIL's place out. It's a dump but it's not that far away.

Richard E. Grant is much underrated as an actor.   He's great.  Good choice.

My two fave films of his are:

How to Get Ahead in Advertising (black comedy, worth watching)

Withnail and I  (this is an absolute cult classic)

Well that didn't work out, Arsenal lost!

I managed to see the game but it was quite boring.

My final solution was streamed commentary on my mobile using my UK phone simcard and watching the TV on the HU RTL channel with the sound off.  The delay on the mobile was intolerable and I eventually settled on just the HU commentary.   The BBC radio commentary was blocked for non-UK visitors.

Bit of a waste of time really.

My husband watched the game on tv but also said it was boring; This morning I asked him who won and he had forgotten as it was so dull.

The town was nutty, we went over to Arena Plaza and people were sitting all over the lawn outside eating and obviously already half way to zombie land with drinking.

People were buying alcohol inside Tesco.

Sorry, I do not get it, spending so much money on a silly game just does not register in my head.

People walking around with their teams shirts on, drinking and carrying on.

More rowdy then a ZZ Top concert!

The movie Killing Dad with Richard E. Grant was more fun to me.

Watched a long interview with him afterwards.

Wow he has lived the life.

Born and raised in Swaziland.

My husband went there back in 1975.

Said there was nothing there except a Motel and casino.

When Richard Grant was 15, his drunken father put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger!

Lucky he had the shakes and missed!

Yes, that's right, Mr Grant is indeed Swazi and British.  He's one of the great national institutions.  He'll get a knighthood in the end.  I always liked him and he deserves it.  I didn't know about the gun.  Not something you want to see.  In a no-horse town, I guess drinking and gambling are the only things to do.  Maybe like LV at the beginning.   I can only think I'd have spent my time extreme gardening in a place like that - don't drink and don't gamble and the only other is womanising and that would be with Mrs F.    BTW, I had a weird dream the other day I was growing coffee beans here in Hungary.  Fat chance.  Our grapes look good though and the apples, plums (greengage) and the large cherry tree are all looking plentiful despite little rain.

Anyhoo, "Withnail and I" is a pretty good movie - it's a dark comedy and needs to be seen a number of times to get all the nuances.  Perhaps one of the greatest British movies ever.

Your hubby was right. It was a terminally boring match.  Nothing special at all. I was disappointed. I expected more.  They screwed up the coverage.  They were messing about with an ad break or talking nonsense when Arsenal scored.  Talk about bad timing.  That's why they don't have ad breaks in football (no, it's not soccer) because it's a full on game for 45m until half time and same therafter.  All those football shirts are just part of the cult of the game.

ZZTop must be geriatrics now.  One of them died but don't remember which.  They were a great band but we don't hear much about them these days.

I'm working on Falling Skies again on Netflix.  I've reached Season 3.  I usually watch it at lunch time to kill two birds with one stone to save time - nourishment and entertainment.

I'm looking forward to this movie becoming available:

Its quite raunchy, and very amusing with a 18 (R) certificate. Actually it's surprisingly good.

I love all genres, but after a marathon of heavy films, the ones you have to concentrate on. It was nice for a change.

It's got a really solid cast. Brett Goldstein was in Ted Lasso and shone there as well as being one of the scriptwriters. He'll be a big star. Impeccable comic timing.

Clay Lomax is released from prison after serving seven years for robbing a bank. He goes looking for his former crime partner, Sam Foley, who shot Lomax in the back as they ran from the bank and left him to be arrested. Learning of his release, Foley hires a trio of young thugs—Pepe, Skeeter and Bobby Jay Jones— for the promise of $100 (5 double eagle gold pieces) to track Lomax's movements. Foley tells Bobby Jay they are not to kill Lomax; if they do, they will not be paid the $100. Lomax locates an old friend, Trooper, a former U.S. Army cavalry soldier now using a wheelchair, running a saloon/hotel in a town called Weed. Lomax offers Trooper money for information about his ex-partner.
