I got a job offer as a teacher in April and sent my documents but they did not send me a contract. They just said they sent my file to the ministry of education and that I should now wait for the ministry approval to apply for the visa. Is this normal? And how long would it take due to the current circumstances?
I feel very frustrated as I don't have the privilege of waiting and it's been three weeks already with no news.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Update: my contract got cancelled and I was told that the MOE would not issue any visas for all nationalities.
