if you are a commerce student you should make a sample investment in the stock market.it will give you a good understanding of the market as well as the system.

Thank you but I prefer to invest in a country I can visit more often and am at.

there is KSE you can invest in.i want to invest in it but i am lazy to complete the formalities.

or you can invest in gold and get high returns with you having to worry much,but dont be in a hurry as the prices are fluctuating and chances of making losses are also high.but for long term it is the best investment as the value of money today will not be the same after a year or a decade.

KSE has historic data for each stock, now past performance is no indication of future results but its a good place to start.

also, check the dividends reports, we invest strictly for return, and return can be two types: cash or stock dividend. check which companies have a good track record with dividends.

there are websites that give you the ROE per share. Gulf something or other.

most importantly you need to register to trade in stocks on the KSE. its 3.5KD to get a number at the KSE, and then find a broker, i use USBC coz its cool, online and very user friendly. plus they dont require a minimum amount, like NBK capital require you to invest at least 5K. since ur in for a big amount, i dont think ud mind.
