Agency verification reports are sent to MoM directly, in most cases unless you are asked to get the verification done. If you get it done and share the outcome, your application goes through the normal review again and you must be patient. After 4-6 weeks you can do a follow-up with MoM via your application submitter.

Hi Shekhz, May I understand a bit more about the verification report. As there is a upload button for employer to upload the request  report, do you mean besides this system upload, mom will also waiting for the agency send them directly? Is it same report or more detailed report? Thank you

Hello all, for my case, my new company applied an EP for me on 17 Aug and unfortunately it was rejected on 30 Aug. The reason was "the declared salary does not seem to commensurate with this candidate's credentials".
We tried our best to prepare materials and submitted an appeal on 3 Sep. Finally, the appeal was approved on 15 Sep.
I've got lots of useful information as well as comfort in this forum during the waiting period. Just want to post my case to give some hope to people who are still waiting. Also, want to let you know that appeal would work if you could provide reasonable supporting documents and it won't necessary take more than three weeks. For my case, it only took one week and three days.

Are they concerned your new salary is too high or too low? and may I know what type of documentations you need to provide for the appeal?

Can tell us what documents and reason you provided in appeal?
My case also similiar, my EP also rejected with same reason , after that my HR appealed but unfortunately my appeal also rejected yesterday.

16 Aug EP Submitted
26 Aug EP rejected
26 Aug Appealed
15 Sep Appeal rejected

Reason for appeal rejection - "You have not shown that candidate should command the salary offered. Further appeals are unlikely to be successful."

I had applied for new job, with EP, on 6/9/2021, but unfortunately to get rejected on 16/9/2021... the reason MOM reject is that my educational level does not match.

I'm applying Quantity Surveyor position (same as my current job position & roles)with new company,  have 2 years relevant working experiences in SG, having 2 certs :  graduated bachelor degree with Sheffield Hallam University(UK) in First Class Honour & graduated with Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC, MSIA), new declared salary $3,200, is in market range.  Had gone thru the SAT, EP valid with $2,800.

p/s: had just renewed with EP with current (old) company in August 2021 with the same educational certs and status is successful.

HR has re-appeal for the rejection.

May i know what and why MOM saying so my educational level does not match? and so far how long the appeal takes?

according to few friends and my applications. We all tooks 9days working days +2 day weekends to receive the outcome.

However, my pass get rejected , not sure appeal tooks how long.

From my side, I basically prepared documents to prove that I am qualified for the salary offered, including a recommendation letter from my master program director, my master transcript, my payslip from the current company, some other certificates, etc.
From my company side, they write a convincing appeal letter to state my values from their point of views, using the documents I provided as the “evidence”.

Been 10 years in the island moving from S-pass to E-pass, and applied for a new job with a new employer  with the same role and 5% salary increment.

Date of application: 20.07.2021
They asked me supporting documents for education background.

I provide those (via RMI….and maybe I shall open another thread on this about their professionalism 🙄) and all documents were with green light and positive outcome, but, pass is rejected due to lateness on providing supporting documents.

Appeal made on 25.08.2021, rejected on 13.09.2021, reason given “inconsistency on education background”.

The agency Adecco, call the MOM they spoke to an officer different from the one handling my application and mentioned that this was a misunderstanding between diploma obtained in Europe and diploma obtained in Singapore since the certification from RMI was all positive with green light. The officer said they will expedite the case and come back within a week at most.

Anyone of you had similar case?

The agency withdraw the application rejected and submitted a new one as suggested by the officer.

Understood. Sorry of any inconvenient. But what i would like to express is, perhaps can check the status rougly after 9 working days onwards further, as the first week from application date there might have no any further updates yet. Thank You.

How do you know those kind of status like “request more info” sth like that
My employer didn't say anything even never disclose reason for rejection.
Even now never update the status unless I ask
Appeal is over 4 weeks alrdy.

My appeal was in process for 11 weeks in total. We submitted a lot of extra information on August 12. 5 weeks later the appeal was still pending.  Don't give up hope.  I'd suggest you ask your HR to contact MOM to see if they need extra information; in my case it was more information about the company plus validation of my degree which seems to be a new requirement for a lot of people.  I'd recommend anyone now has their degree validated. HR should also submit a letter explaining the recruitment process and why they need an EP holder.

Status checks are available via EP Online, all you need is your passport number/ travel document and date of birth- you don't need to ask your employer as to what's the status.

If it is rejected, yes, MoM will communicate to the employer what the reason is

Yes I checked from portal but postal shows my first rejection date only
So I am not sure still processing the appeal (that's why status still not updated or status showing rejected coz appeal also rejected again)
I am confusing…

The HR seems like she don't willing to process my application since from start.
I got job offer since June last week but they submitted my application on July 30. So now I am waiting almost 3 months . Seems like they hire another person and don't need me, that's why they are doing easy-going and never ever update me within these three months even until now unless I chase them. I tried another job opportunities as well unfortunately no offer. So this is my last hope.
Anyway that you for your encouragement , I am still hoping this job.

You can't see the status of the appeal in EPOL
Only your HR/ employer has that access
So you will see ‘rejected' until the appeal is approved
If you have a good HR, ask for a screenshot of what they see in EPOL so you have peace of mind your appeal is still pending

When in appeal, the status remains rejected unless approved, if appeal isn't approved, still remains rejected. Your employer gets a notification and reasoning.

“We know this is important for you. Let us allow next 3 weeks to process this “ at that time appeal is alrdy in 3 weeks . Meaning to say MOM will take 6 weeks to process this.

I'm afraid that is what it means
My appeal was 11 weeks. MOM requested more information from me and the employer after 5 weeks and 4 days.
There are people on this forum who have waited longer than me. 
Your HR can try to contact the MOM officer at the 3 week point but they may ask for more information or more time to process.
Stay positive-there are people going through this process who have positive outcomes

I'm actually in the same situation as you. My new job offer's EP application has been rejected, reason due my educational not match with salary offered. However, same educational certs are submitted for EP renewal for current company.

EP approved: 24th September ( internal audit pending 3rd week and 1 week later pass was approved)

Was made redundant in June from the beauty industry ( very similar role to current job , just a different industry)   and had to extend my Stvp quite a few times but I was pretty blessed that there was a cap on international arrivals so I was not able to fly home.
Can totally understand the stress of waiting esp for those who were made redundant or have already resigned!
