Visa Extension

Potechika

Good day all,
I am from Nigeria and only have maximum of two weeks Tourist visa on my passport.
Is it possible to do an extension?
How possible is it also to convert it to Student Resident Permit as I intend to my Masters Degree here if given an Admission?

Tourist visa extensions are done through the Passport and Immigration Office in Port Louis.
You need to comply with a checklist of requirements and provide supporting documentation as well as proof of funds.
As for converting to a student Visa, you will not be able to do this whilst you are in Mauritius on a tourist visa and then stay on under the student visa - you will have to fly out and re-enter Mauritius. The process for admission on a student visa is again similarly regulated and detailed.
I suggest you speak to the University you intend enrolling with for your studies who could give you all the information you need.
