Is Anderlecht safe for living?

Hello Altrulist,

Recently I moved in Brussels with family as an expat and I am going to sign a rental lease contract which located in Anderlecht (Boulevard Sylvain Dupuis).

However, I heard that this area is not safe for living. Is it true?
Would you please share your opinion/experiences?
