i have just come to the island and have been looking for a work opportunity here.but sadly i have known that mauritius dosent register or allow an optometrist from india to work here.i really dont understand as to what is the problem.please do guide me on this.

Hi Ekta

You can have your certificates authenticated and seek their recognition and equivalence from the local authorities.

There are many other optometrists from India working in Mauritius, though I do not know whether they followed their courses in some other countries, which is quite improbable.

Not sure - may be the Indian qualification??? I am an Optometrist from UK and although I am not currently working I found that it would not be problem for me to work here if I wanted.
