Perhaps he knows something we do not.Maybe he will score a 3rd term due to unseen events coming soon?My husband says war is coming soon.I have no idea if any place will be not effected if so.What is best, to be in Hungary or somewhere else? - @Marilyn Tassy
He knows a lot more than us but it's only due to his position, not because he's got some uncanny insight into anything special.
I cannot see him getting a 3rd term. It's not in the constitution. I don't think half the population could take it any more. His BS is old. It's the same here, people simply don't believe OV any more. And Trump's antics are so blatant and his self-enrichment so in your face, it would take an evil miracle to see Donny sticking around.
There's quite a few Trump smoking guns it seems in the Epstein files. Notice how quickly they tried to jump on it to push it down. There's apparently a list of 10 co-conspirators. Now that is interesting. Who are they? And is Donny in there? We will see soon enough! We know what he's like from lost court cases, apparent abuse of women reporters and his general demeanour/comments plus the clone wives. He's got no shame. And he likes them young and blond, like his daughter who incidentally is nowhere to be seen. His SIL is making packets off being associated with Donny. It's actually obscene.
I think your hubby is right, war is on the horizon. It's just a case of when and where. Judging solely on news reports of incursions by Russia, it'll probably start up internationally in the Baltics. So that's a long way from here but the disruption around Hungary and Slovakia would be extreme. Both countries want to ally themselves with Putin so no doubt they'll try and go "neutral" and sit on the fence. They don't get off so easy, being on the "front line" bordering Ukraine and members of NATO.
As for Greenland, the US has the right to expand their bases without limit. It's in their treaty. He doesn't need to invade or absorb it into the USA. He can build bases anywhere. It's just unfortunate he tried to escalate it. I cannot see his special envoy getting much more than being politely invited for tea and little cakes if he turned up in Denmark. And seal kebabs in Greenland or pickled herring (it's nice! aka Rollmops). Either that or being cold shouldered. Everyone in government is suddenly busy that day.
Santa rubbish ignored, a massive danger to world peace is the US hijacking of Chinese tankers.
https://militarywatchmagazine.com/artic … d-takeover
The US is forcing the whole world into a very perilous situation.
The latest hijacking seems to be the BELLA 1 (IMO: 9230880), a Turkish owned vessel.
https://english.elpais.com/internationa … fleet.html
LOUIS MARINE SHIPHOLDING ENT
Daire 18, Blok U, Mimarbasi Sokagi, Evliya Celebi Mah, 1, Tuzla, Istanbul, Turkey
https://magicport.ai/owners-managers/t% … olding-ent
We can also see that the US is sanctioning ships in the area in order to add legitimacy to their attacks. However, the second hijacking was the Hong Kong owned Century, a ship that was not sanctioned in any way.
Even if you accept the weak excuses the US is using to blockade Venezuela, the second ship doesn't fall under them.
I believe it's time for countries to seize US property in order to replace the losses to shippingcompanies, and fund a compensation scheme for the kidnapped seafarers.
Trump:
Trump warns against 'Bad Santa' and defends coal in Christmas call with kids
Asked by an 8-year-old girl in Kansas what she'd like Santa to bring, the answer came back, “Uh, not coal.”
“You mean clean, beautiful coal?" Trump replied, evoking a favoured campaign slogan he has long used when promising to revive domestic coal production.
“I had to do that, I’m sorry,” the president added, laughing and even causing the first lady, who was on a separate call, to turn toward him and grin.
“Coal is clean and beautiful. Please remember that, at all costs,” Trump said. “But you don’t want clean, beautiful coal, right?”
“No,” the caller responded, saying she'd prefer a Barbie doll, clothes and candy."
For some reason it appears Trump did not understand or remember the tradition of getting coal in your stocking for being bad. And he encouraged kids he called to like coal. Presumably he likes the pollution and asthma and that comes with it too.

In other news.
Trump has ordered a blockade of Venezuelan oil, much of which is bought by china.
https://news.sky.com/story/white-house- … s-13487300
There are unconfirmed reports that China is exploring the idea of modulator weapons systems that can be fitted to cargo ships, possibly to defend commercial vessels against US piracy.
Venezuela and Nigeria share a few commonalities.
- Both do a lot of trade with China.
- China has built roads, ports, and/or other infrastructure in both countries.
- Both nations have been attacked under direct orders from Trump, and both have been attacked based on fabrications.
The evil, road building Chinese are clearly being very nasty when they improve the lives of locals and the wealth of various countries, so the US is fully justified in killing people to stop such abhorrent activilites.
The US is ging to love this.
https://idrw.org/india-awaits-russian-n … d-vietnam/
India is selling missiles that were jointly developed locally in partnership with Russia.
As a non-US Dollat transaction, the US can't sanction India or anyone else. The US has no hope of sanctioning India in any meaningful way anyway, and sanctions against Russia only matter in countries that have bowed down to US bullying/want to sell weapons to Ukraine.
The Obama/Biden war in Ukraine looks like it may be coming to an end anyway. Ukraine seems to be going to accept Russia taking control of Russian speaking areas in Ukraine, but only if it's called a DMZ or free trade area. After all, he has to save face ........... and make sure he keeps the bribe money he will get for selling his country out to Trump.
I suppose Volodymyr Zelenskimitoffthetop will add the cash to his many offshore accounts.

I'm betting he disappears quickly after the war, and is never heard from again ... untill he turns up on a paradise island with a drink in one hand, and a stack of cash in the other.
Can you remember when we were supposed to hate Russians because they were attacking innocent Muslims. That was just before we were told to hate Muslims. That enemy is pretty much played out now, so we are told to hate the Chinese .. oh, and Russians again.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-WmDszVxti0
Thisbis why only idiots believe propaganda, and only total morons repeat it.
Sanctions are pretty much useless in the end. The Chinese, Russians and the Iranians are past masters at it. The Venezuelans less so but they can acquire skills quickly, possibly from Cuba.
As with all these things, a ban on the use of currency is a minimal problem.
Everyone will just resort to barter.
I think back to Oliver North and the Iran-Contra issue in the mid-1980s which used bartering to get around legal obstacles.
The UK's Channel 4 produced the alternative Xmas message this year with Jimmy Kimmel.
Jimmy Kimmel's Alternative Christmas Message (Channel 4 UK)
This is the alternative to the King's Christmas message broadcast on other channels. The alternative is a popular tradition going back to the early 1990s. I've enjoyed these alternatives in the past.
Jimmy sounds optimistic. A lot more optimistic than I feel we are. But thanks Jimmy for taking the time.
https://www.kyivpost.com/post/66955
This effectively makes the UK a combatant, or at the very least a legitimate target as part of a supply line.
This is why countries are moving away from the USD, and why they are right to do so.
It also very clearly shows why you should never trust propaganda.
This was notable and possibly a sign of worse to come (in the East).
‘It’s getting worse year after year’: Could water from Hungary’s thermal spas save arid farmland?
"Nagyapáti has watched with distress as the region in southern Hungary, once an important site for agriculture, has become increasingly parched and dry. Where a variety of crops and grasses once filled the fields, today there are wide cracks in the soil and growing sand dunes more reminiscent of the Sahara Desert than Central Europe."
The evil, nasty, Venezuelan drug dealers must have their oil money stopped so they can't export drugs to the US ... except for the oil money the US supplies to them.

I wonder if anyone is still stupid enough to believe the US actions aren't about stealing oil.

The US of A, the biggest armaments dealer in the world, has sanction suspected Iran and Venezuelan armaments deals.
They now both share the inability to attack the US, and both have been bombed with attacking the US as an excuse.
Only Iran has suffered regime change at the hands of the US, but Venezuela is heading towards that same fateful mess.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/ … -nationals
This is quite interesting as, whilst these countries are small and inconsequential as far as the US goes, they have banned US citizens from entering.
Will US citzens in the country be expelled?
The interesting part is not the countries banning US citizens, but the potential this has to spread throughout the rest of the world. As the US bans citizens from various countries, will those countries follow suit and ban Americans?
Others countries might well demand US citizens social media history or impose other restrictions that mirror US rules.
Looks like things are getting (more) serious in Iran:
Iran on the brink? Key information about the protests
"Iran has been gripped by demonstrations amid the country's economic crisis, with social discontent fuelling open protest against the regime. Media and authorities have pinned the blame on foreign intelligence services...... the government's draft budget for 2026 envisages tax rises of 62%, with inflation at 50%, which many on the street see as straightforward robbery. Public reactions suggest Iranians no longer differentiate between "reformers" and "hard-liners" in their political leadership, but instead see the entire political class as devoid of credibility.
I also heard the head of the central bank was replaced. Like that will make any difference to the economics. Looks like many different de-satisfiers are coming together. The drought is serious in Tehran. Food and medicines prices also a problem pricewise....
Trump:
Bruising on Trump’s left hand sparks renewed questions about his health
New bruising on Donald Trump’s left hand is reviving questions about his health nearly one year after he became the oldest president to take the oath of office....Across a series of events last week, the 79-year-old Trump appeared with discoloration or light bruising on the back of his left hand, in addition to the more persistent bruise on his right hand that has been visible for months.....The new bruise appears to complicate the White House’s explanation that the right-handed Trump developed the bruising through constant handshaking along with a regular regimen of aspirin that can make such discoloration more common.
Not wishing anyone bad things for 2026, but I've seen several predictions that Trump will never see the end of his term. Wishful thinking on some people's part perhaps. Maybe it's a problem or maybe it isn't regarding his hands and what is going on really. I don't believe their explanation of handshaking. That seems ludicrous. I've also heard some dementia type drugs are administered via cannula in the back of the hand. Not unusual to have a cannula - for all kinds of drug administration. I've had one myself for anaesthesia in day surgery. It's all just guessing. We're not seeing any sign of details on his health which is just going to create a lot speculation. People will lose faith in him if he seems vulnerable. As soon as that happens, I cannot see him getting anything done. He might be forced to resign but my prediction is he'll die in the saddle and we'll end up with Shady Vance.
We know Trump's going to have a really hard time in the courts. There's likely a big crash coming if SCOTUS rules against the tariffs. We've seen dissent there recently on the National Guard deployments. Looks like they've grown a pair but possibly thinking of a world post-Trump. We know that's coming and planning ahead is sensible - planning to fail vs failure to plan. This is one for the popcorn.
I hope Lidl still has caramel popcorn for sale after the NY.
Black and blue spots happen all the time to older people.
I sometimes get them from sleeping!
I see a mark and have no clue what happened.
It happens to everyone who lives long enough.
I did see how they say Trump will not finish his term, maybe it is going to be because of a nuke?
Or they will have set up the NWO leader by then?
Does not matter then who is in charge, we are all in trouble.

Popcorn is always needed for Trump's chaotic style. I don't get black and blue spots but maybe I'm just not old enough yet. I find I do have bruises and I also don't know where they came from.
And no, we have no idea what is coming, NWO (New World Order) or not? I do like speculating though.
I wonder if Trump dies or Putin dies, we'd find out immediately or it'd be liked delayed 48h? Either of them could have a stroke or heart attack. I cannot see Putin falling out of a window in the near future. And Trump, he could be in a coma and his brown nosers will be bigging him up.
The one I think looks massively unhealthy is Orban. He's way way overweight. Needs to get on Ozempic to lose 20-30kg minimum. Needs to get to the gym and work on that ample belly fat cum blubber.
Meanwhile, I saw that JFK's granddaughter Tatiana Schlossburg passed of leukaemia a day or so ago. Those Kennedys must be one of the unluckiest families in history. Some of them really were the worst and RFK Jr has to be one of those. He cut cancer funding for supposed programmes involving Tatiana's disease. You'd think he'd have thought about what he was doing. But apparently not. Hard to fathom.
Kennedy,s, my idea is a bit off perhaps,
They have to give some blood for all the blood they have spilled over several generations.
I do not feel sorry one bit for any of them.

OV is definitely keen on his grub. Bit too keen. I suppose the stress means he likes his pies and booze. It's a situation of his own making. Moving himself closer to the grave. He could chill instead but maybe he shouldn't as anything to get him out would be acceptable to many here in HU.
I'm also no fan of the Kennedys. The granddaughter of John F - I suppose - didn't do anything to deserve leukaemia at 35 but then again, no-one else deserves it either.
I do think they make repetitively stupid mistakes - Chappaquiddick comes to mind. And the father of the more famous ones, Joseph Kennedy was an apologist for Nazis and the IRA. Good riddance to him. Winston Churchill had him replaced as US Ambassador. He wanted the UK to surrender! What an a**.
There was another one - JFK Jr - who crashed his plane due to his arrogance over the weather and his flying skills. Killed a bunch of other people who were in the plane with him.
And now, another one has screwed things up. RFK Jr has killed off people's healthcare plans. What kind of idiot trusts an ex-drug addict with people's health? Donald Trump, that's who!
I have just about given up on finding any fairness in this world. Does not exist.
OV, bet they have , dancing girls or boys, the finest of wines and foods, all the latest films entertainment possible while sitting in a hot tub of poo!
Disgusting beyond what we normal,s can even comprehend.
Fantasy Island on the Mainland!
In the late 1960,s one of my husbands first driving jobs was as a delivery driver for Gerbeaud pastry shop.
Besides taking trays of the finest treats to the airport to deliver in Paris at the HU embassy, he delivered sweets to many local HU churches. Besides pastry delights they had the finest of wines delivered; Yes, easy to look all holy and not into money when you just have all your needs met. So much for fasting!
He said they were beyond what everyday people can purchase; Not even available to us.
Fruit plates of marzipan looking like a fresh fruit basket; some made out of ice cream.Carried in tubs of ice.

In other words, Iran's traitors are being directed by MOSAD, and possibly other foreign agents.
Regardless of you views of their government, it is a consequence of the UK and US removing Iran's democracy. A person trying to overthrow their government on behalf of a foreign force is a traitor. They deserve the death penalty.

Maybe and we all know about the Shah and the history but that's not what I asked. Let's stick to the point.
It's here and now on what does Trump mean.
That's what I want to know. Not anyone else and of course Israelis would say that. It's Trump I asked about. What's he going to do about it?
It's a bit rhetorical. My own interpretation I expect it's more hot air from TACO man. I cannot see him doing anything at all. If he bombs Iran more, he risks rallying them against the Great Satan. What he could do is try to politically split the military/police from the Ayatollah. The Revolutionary Guards and Basij (morality police) will try to stick it out - they know which side their bread is buttered. Maybe civil war is on the cards. Maybe others will intervene as proxies, like Saudi. Idle speculation.
Kensington Palace has confirmed that the Prince of Wales will attend the funeral of Pope Francis on behalf of King Charles. This follows the King’s recent cancellation of engagements due to "temporary side effects" from his cancer treatment. In February 2024, King Charles revealed his cancer diagnosis and began treatment. He returned to public duties in April of the previous year, and sources suggested in December that his treatment would continue into 2025, with progress being made in a positive direction. - @thespike Volleyball

Anything else more analytical?
One thing which could happen is a falling oil price if the regime collapses.
Iran (before the sanctions possibly, didn't look too hard) was pumping something like half Saudi's production/day. That Iranian production could be back in the market.
Maybe Trump's (or more likely cronies) thinking is more of a reasoned opportunist move.

This is interesting for a couple of reasons.
Russia, in adopting the ship, has changed the playing field. It might very well be illegal to change the ownership of a ship at sea, but that doesn't change the fact it's now under Russia's protection.
The other point is to note that part of the crew is Ukrainian. Whilst it might be true that the men concerned are in a reserved occupation, thus not subject to enforced conscription (kidnapping), we have Ukrainian nationals diectly working for Russia.
I believe I predicted earlier in the thread that Russia and/or China might take some action - It seems Russia has. If this vessel is subject to an attack, Russia might well send military escourts to pretect future runs.
