If the UK HMG doesn't care about its citizenry (of course they don't), then what are they for? - @fluffy2560
Giving corrupt mates good jobs with sacks of cash.
Chinese government is unencumbered by human rights concerns. That's problematic. But it's also unsustainable. It's the same with any dictatorship.
- @fluffy2560
A good number of democracies have far worse human rights records, especially the one doing most of the complaining about China.
I'm truly amazed anyone even thinks this is a democracy or a human rights thing, but the fact that more lowly thinks do says a lot about how effective US propaganda is on a weak mind.
This is about a battle between the old "oil wars" world and a new "cooperation in business" model where both countries benefit but nobody bombs civilians with B52s.
The US, when it finally falls, will be recorded in history as the most evil nation on Earth.
The traitor, and there's no nice word for a man who took foreign money to work against his own people's interests, deserves to die behind bars.

That's too easy. Put some meat on those bones please.
BTW, there are wrong 'uns everywhere humans are involved.

Now you're veering towards using the usual of one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist.
Let's go dialectic on this one. Reason it out and drop the rhetoric and emotion.

What emotions?
He took money from a foreign power to betray the people of his country.
That's fact, not emotion.
@fluffy2560
They used to hang people for crimes he did. - @SimCityAT
Hang him (Nathan Gill) for 40 thousand quid sponsored public speaking engagements, but the Chinese traitor did a lot worse and you demand his freedom.
You have to decide if treason is right or wrong. Also, a few speaking events gets you 10 years, but attempting a coup is not much to care about.
You might like to remember your posting history before you contradict yourself so badly.

Not sure why you quoted him and attributed it to me.
Another premature ejaculation of trolling perhaps?
Anyway, is Jimmy Lai a freedom fighter or a terrorist?
That's the current question for you Fred?
Btw, I'm already getting bored.
These so called, Leaders are on each other for control when TSHF.
Only one can be the supreme leader.
None of them give a ratz a@@ about the citizens of their countries.
The want a NWO with one head honcho.

Added. Simon's reply was aimed at you, so perhaps you might like to check before ranting.

Diversionary BS. Me no rant, you rant.
Answer the question Fredo or is it too complex?
US/UK:
New roadblocks slow US reckoning over Epstein as Europe races ahead
My schadenfreude meter was wiggling watching Ghislane Maxwell taking the 5th.
I really liked her offer to Trump - clemency and I'll exonerate you.
You're so big on doing deals, how's that working out for you Donny?
He's damned if he pardons her (she'll be considered unreliable), damned if he doesn't (she can implicate him freely).
I think he just won't respond.
If she does get pardoned, as a French citizen (through her mother) she should be on a private jet to France. France doesn't extradite its citizens.
Anyway, is Jimmy Lai a freedom fighter or a terrorist?
That's the current question for you Fred?
@fluffy2560
Neither- He's a traitor who sold out his country and people for foreigners' cash.
A freedom fighter is a bloke in Afghanistan fighting the Russian invasion.
The same man is a terrorist when fighting a US invasion.
Hang on, does that mean the US gets to define what terrorism is?
A handy situation if you are the worst terrorist nation in history.

Aw, come on, you know the answer. We're talking about Jimmy Lai.
Not the USA, not Afghanistan, not Russia (this time anyway).
It's time to put away the childish diversionary arguments Fredo.
How would you define Jimmy Lai - terrorist or freedom fighter?
Aw, come on, you know the answer. We're talking about Jimmy Lai. How would you define Jimmy Lai - terrorist or freedom fighter? - @fluffy2560
Neither, as I have explained in a way most 10 year old non-native speakers of English would understand.
Unfortunately you are trying to divert by asking stupid questions.
Is Nathan Gill a terrorist or a freedom fighter?
Yes, it's also a stupid question with no answer.
I only ask in the hope you can see what a twit you are being.

I'm sure you feel really clever when trying to get me to answer a question with two piteous options as supplied answers.
I tend to see it as childish, pathetic, or perhaps just very silly.
You might like to seek help.

Well, come on, you must have an opinion on it. Or is the hole you've dug too deep?
It's a common discussion point to ask the terrorist vs freedom fighter question.
I'm not trying to get one up on you. Do a bit of research and perhaps you'll reach a rational answer about Jimmy Lai.
Incidentally, Trump called the two ICE murdered US citizens domestic terrorists. He also doesn't know what the difference is and apparently neither does his staff.
HU:
Rubio to visit Hungary and Slovakia after Trump backs right-wing leader Orban
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel next week to Hungary, the State Department said Monday, after President Donald Trump endorsed its right-wing leader Viktor Orban, who is trailing in polls ahead of April elections.
Rubio will travel to Hungary and Slovakia, also led by a right-wing ally of Trump, after addressing the Munich Security Conference, where last year Vice President JD Vance berated the European Union and championed the continent's far-right.
So once again, we'll have chaos in town due to unwelcome visitors. It won't save Orban. Rubio is just part of the Trump MAGA axis.
Well, come on, you must have an opinion on it. Or is the hole you've dug too deep?

- @fluffy2560
I have no opinion because your question is stupid.
These are acts of greed allowing people to sell out their own people, not acts of violence or a series of events designed to create fear.
Only political activists and mindless sheep respond to such rubbish whilst the vast majority are far more interested in paying their electricity bills and getting their kids to school.
I will type slowly in the hope you can understand.
The idiot took money from the CIA in return for an attempt to destabilise a very efficient political system that has made both the country and it's people far better off.
I taking the CIA bribes, he helped the United States in its goal to destroy China's dominance in so many markets, replacing their products with often inferior, and always more expensive, US made items.
The greedy fool don't just sell out his own people, he sold out the world's consumers.
You may be unaware as you are in a stupid area where Chinese stuff is commonly banned due to 'security issues', but I live in a place where extremely cheap but high quality Chinese products are easily available.
Starmer and all the other EU twits need to do what we have done. We get the Chinese to build factories here so we get local jobs, local support jobs, and local taxes whilst still getting all the good stuff at crazy low prices.
You, however, appear to prefer hate to common sense.
It's amazing how people work against their own best interests by believing propaganda.
@Fred- @SimCityAT
You can see the intelligence dripping from that post in the same way pee pee drips from a poorly potty trained 5 year old kid's shorts.

I didn't read your other post as no time for nonsense. These personal attacks divert from answering the question.
And it's not a stupid and it is a classic and fair question.
I am still hoping you might spend some time reading up on the discourse/dialectics around that statement as you purport to be well read. It's a question anyone in political government should be able to answer immediately. As a commentator, you should know too. Just Google it.
A good example of political types who do not know what they are talking about were - as I said - the murders by ICE in Minneapolis.
I'm not trying to embarrass you or get one up. I just don't think your arguments are very well thought out. You can always back track. No shame in shifting positions. That's what debate/dialectics/discourse is about. A negotiation if one wants to call it that.
Have a deep and meaningful think and we'll come back to it.
And it's not a stupid and it is a classic and fair question - @fluffy2560
No, it's definitely stupid as it doesn't apply to the traitor in question.
I'm not trying to embarrass you - @fluffy2560
Perhaps not, but I would be very embarrassed if I had posted your question.
Even worse. you keep returning to it as if it has some validity.

Or what is he?

Yeah, the personal insults don't work on me. It's a fairly typically used distraction but it doesn't change the core question. It's not a win for you.
Maybe you need to read up on negotiation skills. It's very similar to how we should discuss things here as debate.
And of course, you didn't answer the question. It's a very valid question. If you don't know the answer, try analytical writing and justification about your rationalisations - Pros/Cons, Strengths/Weaknesses, Opportunities/Threats?
Thinking it through logically will help.
Maybe another tack will help you - are the Taliban freedom fighters or terrorists? Or the IRA? Or FARC?
Maybe even yet more - was Stalin a fascist or a communist?
And it's not a stupid and it is a classic and fair question - @fluffy2560 No, it's definitely stupid as it doesn't apply to the traitor in question. - @FredYes it does. You're implying he's a terrorist.Or what is he? - @fluffy2560

Might help the hard of thinking.

You should know.
Here's another one:
"Are you a communist or a fascist?"
Another eternal debate.
You should be able to deal with these kinds of questions with ease.
It's just a case of moderating oneself, retaining objectivity and engaging in the discussion rather than blanket statements.
It's kind of interesting as it's almost the opposite of trolling. I've never understood what trolls get out of it.
