USA etc (Reuters):

Putin proposes summit with Trump and Xi to discuss Ukraine deal, WSJ says

Oct 18 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed a summit next month with US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping to negotiate an ‌end to the four-year-old Ukraine conflict that would favour Moscow, the Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday, citing people familiar with the discussions.

Trump and Co are going to stitch up UKraine. Zelenskyy even said that if this triumvirate decides Ukraine's fate, then the country is toast.  I cannot see countries attending the G20 if that meeting goes ahead in Florida.  How can there be a peace without Ukraine being at the table?

Trump really has taken it all too far now and it's clear what  the agenda always was.  It's not interesting times, it's really scary times.   NATO may break up - US may leave.  I am not sure how that is going to go down with NATO members.

I think quite possibly war with Russia  is coming far faster than the predicted dare of 2030.  I think quite possibly all the conflicts going on like Iran are going to merge into one global conflict - Trump is effectively going to bank roll Iran via Russia which US military personnel are dying.  It's just lunacy.

Shady Vance was on the spot as well according to reports regarding the death of a US service woman.  He said he didn't know about failures of leadership at the US Department of Defence.  Just bonkers.  What you been doing Shady?  Just reading the sports pages?

After a few years of the US telling the world how horrible Russia is, we are now told cooperation is a good thing.

Russia and the United States are discussing several joint projects, including data centers powered by small nuclear reactors, following a recent diesel supply agreement.

If the report turns out to be true, I hope people finally manage to work out it'as cash, not people, that politicians are interested in. Lying for profit is average, not exceptional.

The UK's idiot of a PM is sending the RAF to protect Saudi.

Quite why a country as rich as Saudi needs help from a seriously depleated RAF is a guess, but it's be a deal for oil .... and perhaps a little fatter wallet for Andy Burnham.

I think one needs to look at the BAe support contracts for the Saudis.

There's really big money involved and many years of deployment.  I doubt Burnham is lining his own pockets.  He's too much of a socialist to do that.  He's a believer in the left wing project.

Anyway, it's nothing special really - Oman and Brunei and quite a few others have British military presence.

I am surprised they haven't mothballed RAF Fairford yet.  There are no US planes there.

Meanwhile, Hegseth is putting his foot in it again just for local gains cheered on by his idol Trump.  Allies need to push back on that nonsense.  UK lost 457.  I don't call that hanging around on the sidelines.
