Watched a news briefing with Trump this morning.
Not sure if we should laugh or cry!
My husband swears he was drunk.
What a Maroon in the words of Bugs Bunny!
Guess we will have WW3 for Xmas!
What a gift.

According to the videos, the population of Indonesia is - it seems - revolting. People interviewed are very unhappy. I believe there are also food shortages. Maybe the President of Indonesia should ask them to eat cake. I hear Brioche is nice.
BTW, I'd be very happy to hear that DJT was gay. It would explain why he was so against the LGBT+ community, i.e. self-denial. So many gay people repress themselves for fear of being judged by society. But the actual repercussions do not seem to be that bad if one has a good personal support network. - @fluffy2560

Nationwide student-led protests have erupted across major Indonesian cities due to a severe intersection of environmental disaster and economic hardship. Public outrage reached a peak around October 20, 2026, marking the two-year anniversary of President Prabowo Subianto's administration.

Having lived through times with dementia afflicted people (mainly my MIL), they sure do have hallucinations and imagine all sorts of things - conversations, imagined happenings, confusion over who is who and especially time related events.

Trump is definitely in the "zone" for mental decline.  Anyone past 75 is fair game for brain problems.  Quite possibly no-one (ever) should be in public office past this age.

With that, I note in Brazil Lula is re-elected and I think he's 80.  Not that the other candidate is in any way desirable.  But in a bad choice, Lula at 80 had to be the best bet instead of the fascist.

The press pick people to support their story.

Well over 60% of people here support Prabowo, and hardly anyone is without food. Of course poverty is a serious issue, as it is in many countries,  but the vast majority here are happy.

Still, I believe the comments you make because of the twenty years you didn't spend here.

National polling data reveals that public sentiment toward Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is highly contested as he marks his second year in office. While your local experience indicates 60% support and improved food security, broader national data shows a significant squeeze in approval ratings due to economic anxieties and logistical hurdles facing the administration's signature initiatives.

Indonesia president's approval rating slides further to 44.5%, survey shows

Following the latest deadly Russian attacks on civilian shipping in the Black Sea, the European Parliament calls on the EU to consider deploying a naval operation in the region.

Members of Parliament strongly condemn Russia’s escalation of its war against Ukraine in the Black Sea and stress that freedom of navigation and maritime security are essential to protecting the region and NATO’s eastern flank.

They also criticise the Bulgarian government’s weak response to the Russian threat and call for greater EU support for Bulgaria and Romania in detecting and tracking hostile drones threatening shipping.

Parliament urges the EU to make the Black Sea maritime security hub operational and strengthen regional cooperation to protect civilian shipping and critical maritime infrastructure.

Good Lord, Nicki Minaj, who?  How many people know who she is?  And post-Trump, she's going to find her life is going to be rather different.  Same for anyone who professes love and admiration.  How do true believers cope when their belief system is destroyed?

As for Norway, I don't think they care about Trump.  Their sovereign wealth fund is massive and they are doing really  well.  They did it right (unlike the UK which gave its oil/gas away).

And of course Trump doesn't get the Nobel Committee and the Norwegian government are two entirely separate things.  But since when is the truth every stopped the Orange One opining spewing bovine half-digested chyme*.

No, its just you don't like facts, and only believe your propaganda bullshit! It is so strange that you constantly discredit the media, and then use them to push your news when it suits you. It really is quite entertaining.

You must lead a very sad boring life.

Other Oct 2026 polls.

• IPO (Indonesia Political Opinion): Recorded a 66% public satisfaction rating in its October 12–20, 2026 survey.

• Poltracking Indonesia: Reported a 55.3% public satisfaction rating and a 64.8% public trust rating in a survey of 1,220 respondents from September 30 to October 7, 2026. View the Poltracking Survey Report on YouTube.

• Voxpol Center: Showed that 63.3% of respondents believe President Prabowo is capable of running the government.

• Private/Unnamed Media Poll: Placed approval at 55% in October, down from 78% the previous year. Check out the NHK World News Report for more context.

Those with limited thinking skills tend to believe whatever suits them as freeing their minds with critical thinking is beyond their capabilities. That or they assume readers are stupid and will accept everything they push without question.

Either way, It was a pretty rubbish post. Worse, you failed to notice it had already been posted and debunked.

BTW, everyone, debunking is not the same as Fred just taking a convenient self-serving contrary position.

This is an interesting one, not least in the context of Russian relations. Vučić was always a Putin apologist.

So while we see places like the UK, France and Germany right wing politicians spinning their way to being Putin's lackeys, we further East have already moved on and removed those people.

One thing which might be interesting is Kosovo.  Serbia might finally let go of it's policy of not recognising it.  I know Kosovo well and there's really no reason why they are not on a proper trajectory to join the EU along with the others around there like Albania.

As I said, self-serving plus lack of objectivity.

Not everyone is in the pay of the CIA.   That's like claiming God told me to do it.  There's no answer other than to rotate one's finger around one's temple while looking at the perp and calling for the men in white coats.

Germans say, "einen Vogel haben" which pretty much sums it up.

I read that and Mrs F was already on the job with the jokes from social media.

If Orban becomes head of the UN, by the end of the day, Tiborcz will own the entire building".

Tiborcz is Orban's SIL and a major person of interest in alleged dodgy EU funded village lighting contracts.

And for some reason Tiborcz and his wife (Orban's daughter) have left the USA and now live in the UK.  It's unclear why they went there as they are more in reach of HU prosecutors should a legal case be forthcoming.

Anyway, Orban has no chance.  He'll be vetoed by other members of the security council.  Trump is against the UN and has created the Bored of Peace to circumvent it. So maybe Orban is intended to bring it down from the inside.

It's a long way from alleged wrong doing to it being proved.  It will take years to work its way through the courts.

Until there's a verdict in their favour, they've got nothing.

And the protests and political unrest continues. If the current administration will survive or not is the real question.
