TimeOut's study found that one in four Melburnians had been to a concert a week before answering the survey. Residents of Melbourne are also the second happiest city-dwellers on Earth and the city also ranks very high for food, drinks and multicuralism.
Chicago
Residents of Chicago say they're the happiest and the proudest of their city! Indeed, Chicago ranks first on overall happiness and pride for their city. Is it because Chicago has the best food cities around the world have to offer? Because, yes, Chicago also ranks first for the food and drink factor. But residents of the city are also very health conscious as 52% of them cannot get through the week without exercise.
London
What is is about London that makes it the fourth best city in the world? Culture, food and live music scenes say Londoners. Indeed, England's capital ranked very high on these three factors. The city also feels very safe to its residents despite reports of rising crimes and 80% of respondents say they felt happy about living in London.

The City of Angels is full of happy, satisfies and zen residents according the TimeOut's Index. Indeed, the city ranks very high on happiness of its residents but also on diversity, dynamism and creativity. The food scene in Los Angeles is also gaining ground with its residents eating out more than residents of any other city in the United States.
Montreal
Montreal is affordable, the second most affordable city on the planet, and does not overwork its residents, being the city with the second shortest working hours. Is this why Montreal ranks very high on overall happiness of it's residents? Maybe but that's not the only thing this city has got going for it. Residents of Montreal also report being able to be themselves more than in any other city around the world and are proud of the city's diversity, dynamism and creativity.
Berlin
Coming in at the seventh place is Germany's capital city, Berlin. The city has one of the most vibrant nightlives and the city's culture and live music scenes also rank very highly. But that's not all: Berlin is also one of the most inclusive, creative and affordable cities around the world according to its residents. Good to note Berliners are also very health conscious being the most likely to be vegan or to be cutting down their alcohol intake.
Glasgow
The Scottish city is the smallest in this top 10 but also the friendliest and the most affordable city in the world according to TimeOut. The city is rainy but it makes up for it's weather with its music, nightlife and food scenes.
Paris
The city of love, Paris comes in at the 9th place. Of course, the city ranks first for culture. Parisians are the city residents that go out to museums and galleries the most often to the world. It is also the world's most sleep deprived city (maybe because of its vibrant nightlife).
Tokyo
Closing the top ten is Japan's capital city, Tokyo. The city ranks very highly for culture and convenience. But what earns Tokyo it's place in the top 10 is probably it's vibrant dining scene. Indeed, this city's residents are the city-dwellers who eat out the most in the world. Tokyo is also the city most people want to visit in 2019!
