Full time job in Berlin, can I continue side job?

Hi there,

I have recently been accepted a job offer in Berlin on a full time basis.

I have also recently started a side hustle working for myself as a social media manager where I manage business' social media channels. This is just for a bit of extra income on the side no more than €500-1000 per month. My salary is €2060 per month so the side job doesn't exceed this.

Will I be able to continue doing this in Germany? Even though I have residency through my full time employment in Berlin will I also have to apply for a freelance visa alongside this to continue?

How would I go about setting myself up as a freelancer alongside being full time employed, is this possible?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Check your visa: If it allows any work (without restrictions), then you are fine visa-wise. If it allows work only for this employer, or with other restrictions, then you are not.
But please also note that many employment contracts prevent side jobs - and those in competition to your employer's business are always taboo (this is interpreted quite loosely by the courts, so better get written permission from your employer before starting anything!(.
