find employment that will allow me to live in NZ comfortably

Hello All -

I live in the U.S.A. and would like to move to New Zealand.  I am single, with no children, and 50+.  I am training to discover where I might find employment that will allow me to live in NZ comfortably.  Any ideas?

Hello Valarena,

Welcome to Expat.com

Please note that for more visibility I have created a new thread with your post on the New Zealand forum.

In what field do you work?

Have you been to New Zealand before?

Cheers,

Hello and thank you for responding-

I both write grant proposals and manage funding.   While I am not certified I have taught English and drama in both middle and high school.  I also hold a Doctorate in theology.

Where should I look?  Is NZ a good choice for me?

At the moment NZ borders are closed and no students allowed into the country. Teaching facilities are laying off staff.
Not the time to be seeking work here in NZ.

Valarena

Thank you.

Quite frankly it's going to be an uphill battle, better check out the list of requirements and particularly the points system first.
