Hi everyone, we are a South African family looking at a possible move to Mauritius. My wife is a remedial teacher with experience in autism. She has B Ed general, B Ed Honours and Master in Psycology (play therapy) degree's. We would like to get some info regarding the need for teachers on the island and which schools you can recommend we can approach? Thank you in advance. Alten.

Hi,

Considering your wife's profile, there should be openings at private and other specialized schools. But they recruit periodically. Quite a few private schools in Mauritius. A quick search online will list them all.

There are also public state funded specialized schools but they rarely recruit expats.
