I am RAJ. I have a valid student permesso di soggiorno until january 23 ,2019.I have completed my studies recently and applied for the conversion of student permesso to cerco di lavoro (work search permit). I got the appointment date in april 2019 but i have to travel to my home country (India) in february 2019. can I plan the travel with the expired permesso ? please help .

I would contact the relevant authorities about this. Traveling with expired documents may get you turned away at the airport on your return.
