About the new visa medical test

Hi everybody,

My brother is planning to work in Dubai and is about to apply for a work visa.

Has somebody gone the medical test for a newcomer visa recently, and do they test for Hepatitis C?
He was cured for Hep C many years ago and RNA is negative but antibody is positive.

BTW, his job does not fall in the 6 categories.

Could anybody let me know the answer? Thanks a lot and wish you all the best.

Based on the recent experiences of people, yes.  They will test for new visas and for jobs within the six categories. If you are positive, they will check the RNA.  If negative, you will get a visa if not in the six categories.

But if your brother is coming from Phil and goes through GAMCA; they will mark him as UNFIT.  So tell him to go to UAE on visit visa, give the medical there directly and then convert the visa.

Got it, thanks a lot.
