Jeddah flood info

Salam. I would be grateful if anyone can inform whether it is possible to go to Makkah from Jeddah airport tomorrow(29 January,2011). We have bought airways ticket for Riyadh-Jeddah and intend for performing Umrah inshaAllah.

sorry for the late reply, but I think you should delay your visit to Makkah the road from the airport to Jeddah is clear but between Jeddah and Makkah is close due to the floods, so just delay it a week or two.
May Allah give you as your wish "neah" for.

Actually my brother just got back from Makkah.

The highway is clear.

it was hot today - so most of the water should have evaporated.
Insha-Allah, you will complete your Umrah and it will be accepted.

thanks to all. Alhamdulillah we are back from the Umrah,the highway was clear,although the area near Jeddah city showed signs of flood.May Allah save the city.
