Buying 2nd hand car can be risky sometimes specially from car dealers, target expats who are leaving on final exit and want to sell their car, if owner takes good care of the car it would be hassle free.
Go for Toyota, Hyundai, KIA, their spare parts are easy to find and cheaper, its also easy for mechanics to repair or catch the fault.
Mitsubishi or Mazda cars have low market value and expensive spare parts.

But I am not sure about MARAZ/car dealers, first they will give you at high price.
second, They will not allow if you want to go for checkups/test for a car.

Select a car in your range from expatriate website or any one near in your surrounding wanted to sell, then refer it to a car mechanic. He will check the car and say your how much price you should buy and how much money you need to put for repairs after you buy. I have recenty changed my care got Chevelet Epica 2007 for 14,000SR. There are few more points which i cannot write down here if you want to know then inbox me.

Is Toyota Yaris a good vehicle here? We found a few with the price quit nice.

I was using Toyota Yaris back home. Never gave us troubles. But the engine size wasn't even 1L.
