Segregated school or Co-education

Post new topic

Djzubaid

As i was having a discussion with someone i though of asking to all of guys, which one is better ,you can state your own experiences and preferences .Well for starters i like to mention i prefer Co-education

abasu

Good in co-ed, u ducate as you go in life! It's all around development.

aryavrat

Well co-education or segregrated schools same thing for me.................One must be clear that schools were for education if boys comes to study or girls what big differences or both comes together........

Djzubaid

i agree i have been to both types of schools in my childhood and Co-ed schools are way much better than segregated not only does Co-ed helps the students to interact with opposite sexes but also discourages gender inequality

beppi

If school is supposed to prepare for real life, then better have the sexes mixed like in real life (unless one wants to become a hermit, monk, priest, extremist, gay or any other profession that does not mingle with the other gender).

I am totaly agreed with you..................

I went to mostly girls' schools before university.  It was some of the best education of my life.  The parties were much better at university but the environment was far less educational.

I indeed agree with you ,but one cannot simply compare school life to university, that like comparing a bicycle to a sports bike .
While the bicycle is eco -friendly and easy to steer and handle. On the other hand the sports bike has multiple gears, hard to handle while speeding and needs gas ,if you crash you might loss your life but on the other hand bicycle is like stepping stone ,you fall and then you get up and ride again.Thats the reason why most of students feel more pressured when they enter the College or University life .They have lot of option to chose from and gain knowledge  but also want to party and hang around to become cool .In this sensitive balance between social life and education .We cant just compare between school and university

aryavrat

Its her view and she felt like that............

Djzubaid

Ya ,you are right ,so is she but i felt like to justify

I read the bicycle analogy three times.  What does it have to do with gender in schools?

My first kiss was behind the bike sheds.
Bicycle is also used in English slang to suggest a lady is easily taken behind the bike shed. "She's the school bike, everyone has ridden her".

After your education in English slang, mixed schools are generally a good idea but not always.
My sister in law is just about to enter junior high school and she'll be going to a girls only establishment, a Muslim one at that.
She's going off the rails, only slightly but enough to get worried, so we've arranged a girls' Muslim boarding school place for her.
The stricter environment will, the Almightly willing, get her back on track.
The place looks pretty good, a green school with a very nice environment, but strict rules. I've visited several times and the students seem very happy, always laughing and joking with each other.

What did i just watch  :unsure  ,though he sounds more drunk than stating reason for his protest.

Fred

Just to set the record straight, he's trying to talk about "Muslamic rape gangs", but he's far too drunk and stupid.
However, whilst there are clearly some extremists in Indonesia, this school doesn't seem to harbour any.
They all speak English as a second language and have invited me to speak there.
At the time of the invitation, they were unaware of my religious bent.

I think you may be mixing up muslamic ray guns and Men in black neuralyzers.
Elvis has the latter no no one remembers meeting him, but I had my eyes closed as he was leaving my local chip shop, so I fully recall his visit.

Yeah, but that was before he put on pounds and pounds of flabby fat and then started popping pills. Half the time he wasn't sure if it was time to pop one to wake up or have a sedative to retire for the night. Shame really, but he wasn't really too well endowed upstairs.

Yes, well exactly!  :)
That's a bit beyond me but I'll put down what I make of it.

It's OK and near a great pub, my friend."
