I both experienced, for me jogging outside will make you sweat faster than treadmill......:D

I like to run outside, but I also have a treadmill. The one that will burn the most calories is the one that you will use longer and more often. If it is a beautiful day and nice weather outside, you may go longer and have more of a desire to go if you run outside, but if it is rainy or super hot/cold, you will probably burn more calories if you use the treadmill.

Athletes run outdoors as much as they can.

narz4u

of course outside running but i want to own a threadmill.

Treadmills are no good. You run for 2 hours and you are still at the place where you started. haha.. just kidding.
But yes, you are running literally at the same place inhaling your own breath and the surface you run is always the same with same level of friction which means slow rate of calorie burn.

If you are running outside, the uneven surface you faces with every step you take will put more pressure on your body thus increasing the rate of calorie burn. In addition to that, you are also getting fresh air which as everybody knows is absolutely good for health.

Just experiment yourself one day. Run outside and you can't run for more than 5 minutes, considering you are not used to running but try in Treadmill, I bet you can run more than 20 minutes for sure.

Treadmill is just tiresome for me! 12-15 mnts everyday natural running is doing very fit and best  :top: with me.

Hello Mal,

Does this mean you have a treadmill to give away?  :D

Do you have pictures to show that natural running is doing very fit and best for you?  :/

Hi Jack,
You did not include which one of those two burns makes you win in your question.

The best answer to "Treadmill Running or Natural Running?' comes only from Usain Bolt (world's fastest runner), past champions and also from marathon winners.
Through their top performance, they earned the right to answer, their opinion counts because it's a fact more than an opinion, and their answer has more chances to be correct than the answers from amateurs.   :)

More beneficial to everybody at everything is to win. Amen.

So it means 30 min treadmill = 60 min walking or running
Thanks for information

Walking is not equal to running.if u r doing brisk walk or running that it equivalent to treadmill.

Read all the posts and I must say that I agree with the most of them.
I prefer natural running.
But where I live is not always preferable:
Amman is not a "flat" city with all the hills and mountains.
In the area where I live is very traditional so it is not done that a woman, and more without a scarf, is running in the hilly streets. Beside the "cultural thing" is also the weather conditions. The most time of the year the weather is hot or very dusty. For me not very healthy.

Then a treadmill is good alternative.
Specially when you can train in a air cooled space with in front of you a big screen. :D
Don't forget that you can choose different programs based on your goals and endurance.

No I dont have a treadmill to give you but in this area and in my work place there are lot of gyms and I dont think they will give that away. Physical fitness is something, someone feel and you can not get that into a picture John. My health and fitness is ok for me.
