Do you have any unwanted IT equipment that you could donate?

Post new topic

Jaden

As some of you know, myself and Brigi work a NGO working with physically disabled children in Mauritius teaching them both physical skills and providing education.  Part of that education is IT but we are suffering a bit as we only have two quite old PCs.

I was wondering if anyone had any unwanted IT equipment, or knew that their company had some?  In particular, PCs (either working or not as I could use any working bits to build or upgrade another PC), laptops, printers, scanners, wireless routers, keyboards, mice, etc.

I am quite happy to come and pick any items up although it obviously wouldn't make sense for me to come all the way to the north of the island from Quatre Bornes for one keyboard for instance.

The NGO is called The Ranger Foundation and the website is here: http://www.therangerfoundation.org.  It is recognised by the Mauritian government and properly registered etc.

Thanks in advance for any help that you can give.

Ben

Hi Ben,
There is no contact information on the webpage of the foundation. Can you please provide one. I have an Old working PC that I would happily donate. Got a printer too, just need to make sure that it is still working.

Regards,
Sachin

Dear Alisa_ram and sachin_seesurrun,

Yes please!  We still need more IT equipment and would appreciate any donations.  We are particularly looking for laptops but will happily accept PCs, monitors, printers, etc.

I have had a look and you are correct that there is no contact information, apologies for that.  You can contact the senior person in charge (who is actually based in Switzerland) via the email address 'mail@therangerfoundation.org', myself via 'ben@thejadenproject.com' or the headmistress of the school via phone on 7731339.

Please let me know if I can help any further.

Regards

Ben
