What did you do ? Were you able to exit and re-enter to KSA without Iqama

Dear Reader,

The story goes this way. I came to Saudi Arabia in Feb-2013 in a new Visa as Electrician. But my sponsor could not provide me the Iqama yet because of some problems with Labor office (but He is in green). He assured me that he will get me the Iqama in another 15 days. That story ends here.

Now, I need to go to India urgently. My question is that "Can I get reentry from Jawazat"? My friends are telling me that Reentry is not possible without Iqama and I would need to wait to go India till i get my Iqama. Is that true?
