Hi, I have received a job offer in Hamburg, Germany and I understand I can apply for EU Blue Card at the Germany Embassy here in Singapore. i hold a singaporean passport and fulfil the requirement of the eu blue card.

However, I have couple of questions so hoping anyone could advise:

  1. i am confused at the whole process, can someone advise what is the proper process i should be taking?
  2. does applying for the EU Blue Card in Singapore refers to only obtaining the "visa" part? does thsi mean that i have to still register in Hamburg once i have arrived? or does applying through the embassy in singapore means i complete the full process?
  3. Does anyone know the time limit i have to enter Germany upon receiving the eu blue card approval?

thank you!

I don't know the answers for 1. and 3. - you better ask the embassy.

Regarding 2.: Everyone who moves to (or within) Germany has to register his residential address at the local town hall or registry. This cannot be done before moving.
