Avant les ANONYM, ils s'appelaient les Inkonus. Pourtant, ces jeunes sont bien connus de la scène locale. Après un premier album appelé Twa (NDlR : Toi ), sorti en 2017, quelques membres quittent l'aventure et d'autres musiciens rejoignent le groupe. Les Inkonus deviennent les ANONYM. Mais qui dupent-ils ? A Maurice, impossible de ne pas connaître ce groupe devenu incontournable de la scène locale.
Before the ANONYM, they were called the Inkonus (Editor's note: Inkonus : Unknown). However, these young people are well known on the local music scene. After a first album called Twa (Editor's note: Toi), released in 2017, a few members left the adventure and other musicians joined the group. The Inkonus became the ANONYM. But who are they fooling? In Mauritius, they are a very well known group especially amidst teens and young adults.
The story of the Inkonus is one of love and friendship. A love of music shared by nine friends. It is on the occasion of a church celebration that these friends and friends of friends decide to put something together, just for fun. There was no vision or ambition, just fun. They cover some classics of the local scene, some international pop songs and the success is resounding. What won over the public? A shared passion, unparalleled musicians but above all, general good vibes among the group and the desire to transmit these vibes and camaraderie to the audience. This is how the Inkonus were born!
This first performance puts them on the map and they start getting invites to perform in shopping centers across the island. Soon, they are performing in bars and pubs and the public, especially the girls, can't get enough of these young easy-going, quick to joke young men.
Wanting to release a first album, the young men get down to writing. And when you listen to the album Twa, you can imagine what being a mosquito on the wall in the recording studio might feel like: wide smiles, good fun, positive vibes. The first single was released in April 2017 and is called Zoli Fi (Editor's note: Pretty girl).
It is in 2020 that the group decided to separate. Some members have other commitments and leave the group while others join. Today ANONYM consists of Frédéric Dorlin, Lionel and Loic Cupidon, Samuel Veerasamy, Wilford Wong, Yann Payet and Bernard Moonsamy. Same chatty and smiley faces, same trendy look and above all the same frenzied rhythm: shortly after their formation, the group launched the song Danzere which hit hard!
Obstacles ? Let down by their sponsors because of the crisis? So what ! Although the album was late, on July 7, the group released the song Viv bien. At the same time, they are challenging themselves with a new release every 7th of the month until February 2022.
