Good morning all,

Following the recent live from the High Level Committee, here are the measures still applicable with some updates :

New series of health restrictions from tomorrow March 31:

- Barrier gestures are maintained (wearing a mandatory mask, strict social distancing, ventilation of closed space, use of sanitizer)

- Authorization for public/private gatherings of up to 50 people.

Weddings, funerals 50 people max. (From now on, civil marriages can be performed outside the civil status office - the officer in charge will be able to move on site.)

- Access to sports complexes and gym authorised for fully vaccinated people (max 50 people or one person/m2)

- Public garden and fitness trail, kindergarten open.

- Places of worship can accommodate a maximum of 50 people instead of 10 currently.

- Socio-cultural activities authorised max 50 people

- Horse racing in-camera only with 150 employees on site.

- Fast food access to vaccinated - vaccinated staff and mandatory mask + ventilation

- Open beach (picnic prohibited)

- Individual and collective outdoor sport authorised

- Not allowed: night clubs, concerts, community centres, CAB closed. Reception hall closed (except for wedding celebrations with a maximum of 50 people)

The high-level committee informed that these sanitary measures will be in effect at least until the end of June. That the epidemic is still present and that we should be cautious as winter approaches, the season when flu is more present.

Travel to Rodrigues doesn’t require quarantine (if positive, you will have to self-isolate).

Have a nice day,

@Anou86 thats not good i am coming on 12th april hope they dont stop the international flights

Hello princeverma,

Don’t worry 😉 flights are ongoing and quarantine has been removed.

These measures are basic precautionary measures as we enter winter… nothing to worry about. Borders are open and protocole to enter the island has been fairly simplified.

@Anou86 are these measures the same in rodrigues? finally hoping of going there in may. 2 years waiting .. now it will be the time :)

Hi GeraldH,

Same applies to Rodrigues and no quarantine... except if you are tested positive you will be required to self isolate.

Have a nice trip 😀
