EP conversion from third party vendor to client payroll

Hi Experts,

I am working in Singapore on contract and my EP is valid till 2022. My client is showing a willingness to take me on their payroll and here would like to know if my EP can be transferred from my base company to the client or my client need to apply for a fresh application?
There is no issue with my contractual terms and condition and the vendor is ok to release me.

Please help me to understand the process and share if someone has already gone through a similar process

Given that the new employer is a different legal entity (from your current employer), and you weren't directly employed by them (new employer), it would have to be a fresh submission. Just that your job responsibilities don't change. Hope this helps.

A new application always incurs some risk of rejection. Thus do not resign from the current job until you have the new EP approved!
