Hi!

Looking for some help please. My parents are Mauritians and I was born there but we all moved to UK 40 years ago. I now have a British passport and would like to get Mauritian I.D. and or passport but not sure if this is possible? My husband was born in UK but parents also Mauritians living in UK.

Any help would be appreciated.

Since you are born on the island , you may still be a citizen or you may have lost it depending on your age when you left in 1978.
You may have to reclaim it before you are given a Mauritian ID which will enable you to apply for a Mauritian passport.
This topic is asked very often , at least once a month.
