Hello everybody,
I'm Helmut from Germany and I've been living near Chiang Mai since March 2005.If I'm an expat I don't know.But it,s quite a good feeling living abroad such a long time.

I had the chance to visit Thailand for about a month three years ago, and loved it. I spent a week in Chiang Mai during torrential rains so spent my time taking cooking classes. I loved it!

What are you doing in Thailand? Working, or just travelling?

hello expatstud,
I'm retired, so I don't need to work.I'm living here,sometimes I travel.I'm interested in nature and try to make a garden with a pond.Watch butterflies,geckos,lizzards and tuckaes.I learn some Thai and enjoy my life.That's totally different from the way I've been living before.I just read a bit of your website.It's interesting.

Because I do have some friends here and my English is not too bad.So I'm able to communicate.Before I wanted to go to the Capverdian Islands.That's a dream for 25 years.But as I got more and more aquainted with that part of the world, I thought it's better to go to Thailand.Maybe some day I'll go to Southamerica,but I'm not sure.I do love mountains and here I have everything I want.

Il y'avait un temps,j'ai visite La France,Le Maroc,La Tunisie et L'Algerie.Mais c'est loin deja.Mon francais n'est pas bien,mais cela suffit pour parler dans les pays.
