hello, my name is Aurelie and i moved in usa, last july. i now live with my husband michael and his two little girls and my three dogs.
we live in arkansas, 10 minutes away from little rock, the capital.
before i used to live in Paris with all my family, so that's pretty different. no bus or subway, to go to town, in here which makes it harder...:/
anyway, i'm very happy to join, you guys and share.
there's time where i need people who understand what i'm feeling and what being away feels like and i hope that we'll be able to do that.

thanks,
aurelie.

Julien

Welcome Aurelie!

Is your husband American?

Sure you'll talk with people who understand you here ;)

Take care,

Julien

Hi Aurelie and welcome ! :D

I also moved to the States (Texas) last year, in September and before I was living in the suburbs of Paris ('la petite couronne') and it had the RER A, subway, bus etc ... Here, there are some buses, quite old and not that convenient especially to go to job interviews :-s well, so it's kind of a hassle for me ... but anyway, my husband has a car.

It's also hard to be suddenly away from your beloved ones like our family and friends.
So from what you wrote above, I can understand your feelings. I look forward to chatting with you ;)

And just 2 last words : BON COURAGE  ;)

bisous

Welcome on board, Aurelie ;)

I moved in California in september 2001, and live with my wife, her 2 girls (12 and 8) and our son (3) in Salinas.
Before that, I used to live in Poitiers (just near the Futuroscope) for 30 years... And my wife is from Rasteau (near Orange), but she live in California since 1995. And we know how hard it is to be far from friends and family, but we look forward to come back in France for the next 2 or 3 years ;)
