Hello guys
I am applying for an assistant professor position in SQU, Oman.
I have been told that I am among three candidates that the hiring committee will choose from.
One of the last steps in the hiring process is to come to SQU as a visiting assistant professor in a full semester and teach some classes and in the same time go through the selection process for the permanent assistant professor position which will depend on the teaching ability.
I have no experience about this selection routine as in the US where I obtained my PhD, it is different.
My question is: do you guys have an idea about the expected salary during this teaching period in a whole semester?
They will take some time, around 2 months, to figure out the salary. I have been told that the package includes free accommodation and health care.
I appreciate your help in advance.

Never heard about the visiting assistant professor time for final selection, although I am sure recruiting process is different between colleges.
