Hello all!

I am an expat and a student; I have created this topic with the hope that many of you will help me to find answers to my personal and academic questions.

My PhD research is on 'Global Nomads', so I think this website is a great place to seek participants!

I would like to start by asking why did you leave your homeland... and then moved again, and again, and again.. and will keep moving again ! !

Please note that all the information here posted may be used in  my research, names and email addresses will remain private and confidential, and you have the right to withdraw from the research at any time.

First, about me:

I am Venezuelan-Spanish, that is, born in Venezuela from Spanish parents. After graduating from university I went to Spain (Barcelona) for a year, moved to England (all over the place) for seven years, moved to France (Toulouse) for six years, and now I'm back to England.

Why I left the homeland... to live in Europe! .. why did I move again, and again, and again... well, I love to see new places and learn about different cultures.

The most difficult aspect has been starting from zero each time, but it also has been one of the most enjoyable one!

Most of the moves are work related.

GabyGN

Work related meaning that the company sends you abroad? or you have asked for the move?

If you have lived and worked in more than three countries (not just short business trips) then please do consider participating in the research.

All it takes is a call via Skype!
