There are  potentially innumerable opportunities to mix hobbies with a little work and make it more fun.
Those who love playing musical instruments can become tutors of Western Classical Styles , the demand for which is growing by the day in India. And many more. What do you do ?

Here in this Caribbean island, where over half the population (50,000) comprises expats of one sort or another, the "trailing spouses" are mostly women. There is always plenty for them to do - at the tennis club or other sports club or some social club, or getting involved in some charity. It's hard to narrow down the options available. For most of our 36 years here, it's actually been my wife who has been the main income-earner, with me the "trailing spouse". I used to spend a lot of time at the library, until the Internet came along. And I was housefather to our son between the ages of six to eleven. (I blogged about that in October last year: look it up in the Archives, if you're interested in some of the jobs I had to do in that fun job!)

I've often said that when you're retired, you're just as busy as you used to be when working. The major difference is that nobody pays you.
