Plan to do all the things, I wanted to do. Travel around the world etc etc.

Look at investments for my families future.

But if in reality, I would start my own business and begin traveling to the countries that are in the list of 'Places to see before you die'...

What ever we are getting its not only for us, millions are struggling
we are calling as a human being so has to show humanity to others

Since a million isn't enough to retire yet (and, for me, money doesn't mean much anyway), I'd just go on with my life as per normal.

Good point beppi.

In Australia with people living longer it seems that the average couple may need a lot more than that in their superannuation or retirement funds to just survive without any luxuries.

A million bucks would keep me going a very long time, just on the interest payments alone.
That in mind, I'd book long holidays whenever my little monster was off school and probably buy that drone camera I've been fancying.
And a gopro camera, and a few other little toys.

I will give 25% for charity and 75% of amount I will keep to live comfortably.
