My wife and I (and standard poodle Chloe) live in Tucson. We love Rome and Venice. We're learning Italian. We need year around fresh vegetables. We're thinking of retiring to Italy and will be traveling there again in February to look at Lecce, Puglia and Viterbo.

Contact with any residents of Lecce or Viterbo -- or other charming city with access to art, opera, community, and yoga would be appreciated.

Dear Julien,

Thank you, I'll take that suggestion. One reason I registered and posted here was the feeling of common sense, goodwill, and friendly responsiveness I perceived in the posts.

We are in Tucson, Arizona USA where we've lived for 35 years, but it seems like it may be time to leave. And a seven week trip to Italy last winter confirmed our belief that Italy might be a good place for us.
