In January '07, my husband, toddler, and I moved from New York City to Accra.
My original intent on starting a blog was just to keep friends and family an idea of what day-to-day life was like for us here and to take some of the mysteries out of living in Africa. But then I realized that a blog like mine may be helpful to someone thinking of relocating or knowing they will relocate...so, here I am.

Why did you move to Ghana?

I am an English expat in Switzerland, but I was most interested in your blog as my sister is thinking of moving out to Ghana (her husband is Ghanaian). I don't think it will be as idyllic as she thinks, as she already has problems in the heat of an English Summer!! (she has Psoriasis)
I would be very grateful if you could blog a mini-description of life in Ghana, from someone who has actually LIVED there!! Any info would be greatly appreciated!
