Wannabe Expat

Hello

I'm new here, BUT I'm not an Expat - YET....   I'm a wannabe expat.

I've been suffering analysis paralysis for a long time now, and hence remain here in the UK.  I think actually I just enjoy research, because I keep on researching what it means to become an EXPAT...   Basically I think I'm trying to work out whether I will be happy - BEFORE I make the move - but I guess you just never know until you try.

I've even started a blog now - dedicated to my paralysis analysis really.  It explores the pros and cons for living and working in England, and the Opportunities for living and working abroad.  I'm hoping to gather view points from people all over the world, those that have made the move - how it has worked for them.  Do they have any regrets.  People that have moved their lives to England - what do they make of us Brits and our country... etc etc...

I s'pose the main question I am trying to answer - is does a better life exist somewhere else, or is the key to happiness simply accepting and enjoying things as they are - including where you live?

My blog starts with the Top 10 Reasons to leave the UK.  As time progresses I'd like to see how these reasons compare to the positive and negative aspects of other countries around the world...   

If you feel inclined to view the blog and add some comments - or indeed just feedback your views as to whether making the move is the best thing you did or the worst thing you did - I'd very much appreciate it....
