If your definition of "Expat" is "missing his family, feeling stranger between his society and can't integrate with them", you have a very strange view. I call such people "anti-social", "outcast" or "miserable".
Generally, Expat means "living outside of birth country", or also "living outside of home". Since "home" is a relative concept, you can feel not at home when you return to your birth country after many years abroad. That is called reverse culture shock.
(I have lived in many countries and always felt "at home" quickly - thus have I never been an Expat?)

ugly duck or beautiful swan...appearances can be deceiving.
just i mean, i felt disappointed every time i observe a bad behaviours: cheating, lying, bribe,... so one person can't change a whole society!
should swim with the current or against it, both difficult.

now i am really lost..don't get it at all!

not too big thing, just I kept my self away for not being  infected!
