Hi. I have a document which is older than 3 months. ( 3 months and 5 days exavtly at the time of application) for marriagr.  Does anyone have the same experience? Will the court accept the paper like that?

otherwise I would have to start from the beginning  😭

@YassimM yes all documents have to be dated within  3 months when submitting to the family court in Morocco. once the court authorises you to get married, you need to get married within 3 months , unless you can agree extra time with your adoul. hope that helps

Yassim M

Thanks for the answer. in that case, would you recommened me to request all the documents again?

@Yassim M

Yes. You can "try" if you have a good reason for being late, but start already the process to request all documents.

@YassimM i’m afraid so. the family courts wont accept paperwork thats not correct.

Its just my country which has delays in legalization process. Even if i requeste tjem again, they could not be on time…. At this point i dont know what else i can do…..

@Yassim M Get married in some other country. its easier tbh.

The most quickest way to get married is in Gibraltar as you can marry there next day once you have landed.

Getting married in Morocco might seem confusing at first, with all the paperwork, but if everything is in order, it usually turns out positive. Most of us have been through it.

If your papers also need to be legalized by your embassy here in Morocco, you can get a stamp there while bringing the one that has expired, so the rest will still be accepted in court here.
