Is it possible to buy a car in Mauritius without having a resident permit. I'm on a premium visa planning to apply for 10 year retirement one. The car won't be bought on HP. Many thanks

It is no problem.
When I applied for a local driving permit, the officer told me I needed it to register a car in my name.
But when I bought a car via an agent, it was no problem to register in my name without having a local driving license and being on premium visa.
