Import duty on vehicles (new and used) jnto Mauritius is 100% (without cost of shipping and clearing agents fees) - therefore Double what the car is worth !
For this reason is recommended to rather by a car on the island.

Apparently, the tax is greatly reduced (around 20% if my memory serves me) if it's a hybrid car.
