Looking for an apartment in Toulouse – February-march move-in

Hello everyone,

I will be moving to Toulouse at the end of February / beginning of March for work and I am currently looking for a studio or one-bedroom apartment to live on my own, with a maximum budget of €1200 per month.

I speak English and Spanish fluently, and my French is a bit rusty but I am actively working on improving it.

Any advice, recommendations, or tips you could share would be greatly appreciated, even if you don’t have a specific apartment to suggest.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.🙂

Hello and welcome !

While waiting for members' feedback, feel free to read the Accommodation in Toulouse article to gather some information and if you would like to receive offers, creating an advert in the Properties in Toulouse section might help.

All the best

With your 1200 euro budget you have very good options even in the city center. Search on SeLoger or Leboncoin in the Carmes or Saint-Etienne areas, they are the most beautiful.

Find a real estate agency

For a late-February or early-March move, start your search several weeks in advance and prepare a complete application file, including ID, proof of income or employment status, your latest tax notice, and a guarantor if required. Check several property listing websites and local agencies, and make sure to verify the rent, service charges, security deposit, floor area, and access to public transport.

With a maximum budget of €1,200 per month, it makes sense to compare several areas, including the city centre, without assuming that this budget will guarantee availability. Also ask whether the property is furnished or unfurnished and which documents will be required before arranging a viewing.
