Yes, you will need to wait for a long time.

For every other person that keeps asking (without reading this thread thoroughly) when they will receive their Annex 46/Single permit, I received a response from the Immigration Office last week (Oct 6th). In response to the initial email asking about the status of my application, I was asked to send a copy of my work permit authorisation. After I did that, I received the following response almost immediately:

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,

You enquire about the status of a single permit application.

This request is being processed by our services.

The treatment period can take around +/- 8 to 10 weeks through our services.

This counts from the date of the region's decision.

Our handlers do everything in their power to keep this treatment period as short as possible.

Infodesk, for all your case-related questions, can be reached by telephone on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30 am to 12 noon and on Thursday from 2 pm to 4 pm.

So, count 2 months and some change from the date of receipt of the work permit to estimate when you will get the final approval, i.e., the Annex 46/Single permit. Or, you can read earlier threads from this forum and extrapolate the data for yourself.

Congratulations! That’s a really “short” wait time between the first and last approvals, when compared to others’ timelines here!

my SP is expiring on 31-December-2022 and my current employer has applied my extension in Flanders region and it will take another 1 month for WA approval.

Now I got another job offer and new employer also apply for my new WA in Brussels region.

will there be any issue, please advise what should be the best approach.
